I just ordered Pizza Express, to which the rider waited up the road from the store for a good 20 mins. Tried contacting with no luck.
Then he finally went to the store. Finally!!
He then picked up the order, and then took 20 mins to get here (it takes like 7 mins).

I went outside ready to meet him (I live in an apartment). No joke at all, he was riding his bike down my road, and I watched him do a full u turn in the middle of the road (he didn’t stop or look around at all), and rode off. Then I got a message saying he couldn’t fulfil my order. I got a full refund, but still!

I contacted uber, who couldn’t give a rats arse about the situation. They said ‘you were refunded, can I help with anything else’. Like I want to complain, I waited for ages for my food - for him to do that. I said he’s clearly doing something fishy to get free food. No arse given. Asked if I needed help with anything else- ended chat.

Ordered Pizza Hut now, as pizza express isn’t taking orders anymore (fuming as it’s costed me more, as a pizza and cheesecake was £12 from pizza express due to offers). If I have any problems- I swear down!! Will keep updated if I get my pizza eventually lol. Ordered a cookie dough to cheer me up also- spending more for less anyway- so why tf not.

Two days in a row I've had my food stolen, Like is there any real consequence to them doing this? And what possesses people to do it man? I'm more than generous with my tips the one last night I tipped $14 on a $30 order but man I'm so done with this app after having my texts and calls ignored then fighting with support trying to get a refund while watching the driver sit in the same spot for 30 minutes then drive past my house 3 times just to **** with me. I couldn't even place another order yesterday because they picked my food up at 7:50PM and marked it "delivered" at 5AM!!!!!! Told myself it was just one bad driver but nope happened again today.

Tonight when we ordered our dinner we could see the delivery driver on the main road to our house (1/2 mile away if that), made a U turn and the app changed from 'your the next stop' to the driver has another stop. We watched the driver go in the complete opposite direction, 15 mins away, from our house. Why was he not able to drop off the order when he was already so close to our home? I used to drive for Uber years ago and have had this happen to me when I was delivering food. It's such a waste of time and gas. I stopped working for Uber and worked for the competition doing rides. My question is why does Uber do this to their delivery drivers and customers?

Starting two weeks ago, the wait time to speak to support shot up for me from 1 min to 9 min. And that new lengthy queue isn't even real; it's a farce--the 9 min queue always dies halfway with the app saying "did we resolve your issue?" (obviously not!), leaving me high and dry.

Beyond that, there's this cumbersome AI interface where a useless bot basically stonewalls ANY refund possibilities for blatantly wrong item deliveries. Two weeks ago, I was able to connect with humans and clearly convey that parsley was not cilantro and get appropriate customer support. Now, for the past two orders, support is COMPLETELY inaccessible.

Anyone else had a similar turn of events with the Uber Eats app? Any workarounds to this AI-powered hell?

I've never had such a long yet completely pointless conversation with customer support. I wonder if that AI, a human, or whatever it was, read a single word of what I wrote🤔

Uber is the legal definition of bait and switch. So many advertisements for deals and messing with the numbers to make orders look reasonable and then falsifying what you’re actually saving and tacking on opaque fees… I don’t even pay for the premium membership but get it free from another source and it’s still not even close to worth it compared to just looking at store coupons and ordering delivery… How is this company in business when they get your orders wrong and miss items 90%+ of the time?

Is Michael a ghost who somehow got a hold of my phone? I was logging into Uber a few days ago and selected "Find My Account" and came across this unknown account as an option to select. I even texted the guy who claims he has no idea how his email and phone number could be connected to my device. I have already emailed Uber Support for answers. Waiting to hear back. What's the deal in this situation?

Suddenly the credit card I have used for years for Uber and Uber Eats doesn't work when trying to make a payment. I have filed multiple queries with Uber Support. No assistance has been provided. I have tried removing and re-adding the card. I verified the payment works for things outside of Uber. Has anyone had this happen before?

Every day I do Uber Eats as a driver I get at least one food order where the previous driver stole it. sometimes even 2-3 times a day. Why hasn’t this been fixed? why are drivers allowed to cancel after confirming at the restaurant still?

And they really need to stop this account renting BS because those are the guys doing it 90% of the time.

It's a friend who doesn't have an Uber account so I added him as a rider and now I can't figure out how to delete his number.

He comes up on the 'Choose a Driver' section.

I have tried to contact Uber but it seems impossible these days to talk to an actual person.

I have turned off every possible setting I can find on the UberEats app besides push notifications on deliveries. But almost every day, even though I don’t get push notifications, I still get a notification icon on the app which only goes away if I open the app.

Has anyone else found a way to disable these without disabling delivery push notifications as well?

I’m a hungry college student who had just gotten back from work after a long day and being soaked by the rain. I had Wendy’s a night before which had been my first time ordering from there btw and I really liked it so I decided why not Uber Eats it again the next night so that’s what I did I waited a good while because the driver had stops before me so by the time she arrived she I was good hungry. She came to me holding a bag of food which I obviously thought was mine so I gave her my pin but when she finally handed it to me I realized the bag wasn’t from Wendy’s. I hadn’t realized that the bag wasn’t Wendy’s because I wasn’t too familiar with them in the first place. when i was trying to resolve the issue peacefully not only did she continue to try to leave but she actively was picking up other peoples orders in front of me.She basically ran off before i was able to get a picture but i took a video of her with a bag that’s not Wendy’s but it’s not clear because she’s holding the bag tightly and she far away from me. I try to get a hold of uber that night but as it was late I gave up till tomorrow. Now here’s the problem Uber can’t give me a refund because I gave her my pin and I don’t have any images as of right now I used Cash App to pay so I’m trying to dispute the charge but is there anything else I should do that would help me in getting a refund.

Went to grab my Uber Eats delivery from my door and not only did I get the wrong order/ not my name — it clearly says DoorDash on the receipt 😅 the driver said “that’s what they gave me” Welp.

So I place an order for this taco place. And within a few minutes I get a driver. I wasn’t going to think anything of it until I realized she already had 3 prior stops before my pickup on the way, so which prompts me to look at her rating and it sits at about 90%.

I don’t consider 90% or too bad, or should I say o try to give them the benefit of the doubt because sometimes there’s just scummy customers out there, but sometimes it’s just a real reflection of their ability, nevertheless I’m like ok, cool whatever

After about a trillion years she picks up my order and is on the way, she completes the other ones and then is finally headed in my direction. 5 minutes later it once again says she has multiple stops? So even after the amount she picked up she’s doing multiple more.

Completes those and then picks up another one once again?

I’m not one to be snobby about cold food or it being too late but it gets to a point where you recklessly pick up anything thrown your way. It should not take an hour and a half to delivery from a restaurant, in a car, that’s barely 2 miles away. And yes I did tip

I really don’t like giving downvotes simply due to the fact that I don’t value my food over someone’s potential job, but at this point is she giving me a service or is she abusing a gig platform 🤷‍♂️

Tech companies act so innocent in marketing but they’re wolves in sheep’s clothing. Zero accountability or justice will come of this even though I would imagine that this is illegal and I just got scammed.

Safe to say I initiated a charge back and closed my Uber account though. I just hate the fact that they get away with this probably so often.

I haven't done any deliveries yet so I'm not sure if it'll show up later but as of now I don't see that promo anywhere and of course support was no help.

I saw the bonus advertised and googled it- clicked the link and signed up, passed the background check and can start today but now am wondering if that bonus is even actually available.

I’m currently in Mexico and had a strange experience with Uber Eats. On October 9, I ordered food for 882.64 MXN using my saved Visa credit card. My first payment attempt failed, but when I tried again with the same card, the order went through successfully. The food was delivered, and I gave the driver my delivery PIN.

What makes this strange is that my bank hasn’t shown any transaction at all. Normally, whenever I order through Uber Eats, my bank immediately shows a pending authorization. This time, nothing appeared. Initially, Uber Eats even showed a message saying that no receipt was available, possibly because I hadn’t been charged.

However, the next morning, I received an official Uber Eats receipt showing the full amount and my Visa card.
Another interesting detail is that my bank issued me a replacement Visa card in September with a completely different card number. However, Uber Eats still has my old Visa card saved, which officially expires in October 2026.
Today is October 12, almost three days after the order, and my bank still shows absolutely nothing. No pending transaction, no authorization, and no charge. Yet Uber Eats delivered my food and issued a receipt.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Did Uber Eats eventually charge your card after several days, or did the payment never go through? I’m especially curious how an order can be successfully delivered and a receipt issued without any visible transaction at the WE bank.

Hi everyone.

I just had a strange experience that I never had with Uber Eats before. I ordered a few 24 ounce cans of beer tonight for delivery and the driver arrived, scanned my ID and told me I was all set. I figured the transaction was finished because he handed me back my ID and went to his vehicle so I went back inside my house and shut my front door.

I noticed the driver still parked outside my house for a good 10 minutes and then I got a call from Uber Support. I also noticed the trip wasn't marked as completed on the app. The support agent confirmed who I was and asked If I received my order which I said yes then he told me I could hang up and the trip was marked as completed in the app.

I've ordered alcohol before and this hasn't happened in the past. Did I do something wrong or did the driver mess something up? I still left the driver a $5.00 tip since the store was less than a mile away but that experience was strange to me. Screenshot is what the app showed for the 10 minutes the driver was out there.
