Uber Eats delivered my food, but I still haven’t been charged after 3 days. Has anyone experienced this?
Hey everyone,
I’m currently in Mexico and had a strange experience with Uber Eats. On October 9, I ordered food for 882.64 MXN using my saved Visa credit card. My first payment attempt failed, but when I tried again with the same card, the order went through successfully. The food was delivered, and I gave the driver my delivery PIN.
What makes this strange is that my bank hasn’t shown any transaction at all. Normally, whenever I order through Uber Eats, my bank immediately shows a pending authorization. This time, nothing appeared. Initially, Uber Eats even showed a message saying that no receipt was available, possibly because I hadn’t been charged.
However, the next morning, I received an official Uber Eats receipt showing the full amount and my Visa card.
Another interesting detail is that my bank issued me a replacement Visa card in September with a completely different card number. However, Uber Eats still has my old Visa card saved, which officially expires in October 2026.
Today is October 12, almost three days after the order, and my bank still shows absolutely nothing. No pending transaction, no authorization, and no charge. Yet Uber Eats delivered my food and issued a receipt.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Did Uber Eats eventually charge your card after several days, or did the payment never go through? I’m especially curious how an order can be successfully delivered and a receipt issued without any visible transaction at the WE bank.

Happened to me but with my cable bill. In short they will likely notice after a month then tack on penalties in my case for non payment. For you it'll likely be a block on your account until you pay up.

Thanks for sharing! Did the payment initially appear as successful on your cable provider’s side, even though your bank showed no transaction? That’s what makes my situation strange, because Uber Eats actually issued me a payment receipt.

Not 100% sure, but it showed as paid, but the next invoice had a non-payment/late fee and I had to pay double+fees.

Just wanted to give everyone a quick update. Everything is fine now! Uber Eats finally charged my Visa card today, October 13, four days after my order. Interestingly, the transaction never showed up as pending or reserved in my banking app. Instead, the full amount was charged directly and appeared as a completed transaction. So, if anyone experiences something similar, don’t panic if the payment doesn’t show up immediately. In my case, it took four days, but the payment eventually went through without any issues
