USA AIITW for getting pissed that somebody is delivering 6-7 orders before mine..?

So I place an order for this taco place. And within a few minutes I get a driver. I wasn’t going to think anything of it until I realized she already had 3 prior stops before my pickup on the way, so which prompts me to look at her rating and it sits at about 90%.

I don’t consider 90% or too bad, or should I say o try to give them the benefit of the doubt because sometimes there’s just scummy customers out there, but sometimes it’s just a real reflection of their ability, nevertheless I’m like ok, cool whatever

After about a trillion years she picks up my order and is on the way, she completes the other ones and then is finally headed in my direction. 5 minutes later it once again says she has multiple stops? So even after the amount she picked up she’s doing multiple more.

Completes those and then picks up another one once again?

I’m not one to be snobby about cold food or it being too late but it gets to a point where you recklessly pick up anything thrown your way. It should not take an hour and a half to delivery from a restaurant, in a car, that’s barely 2 miles away. And yes I did tip

I really don’t like giving downvotes simply due to the fact that I don’t value my food over someone’s potential job, but at this point is she giving me a service or is she abusing a gig platform 🤷‍♂️

After trying to make gigs work for a while I have found that one particular platform is vastly better than others in my market. I still only make $125/day before expenses. After food and fuel I'm taking home $400/week trying to cover nearly 2K in monthly bills while I wait for my seasonal job to start up again. People in our situation have to do whatever we can to make ends meet. If UE or DD send us a profitable job whole we're still on one we can't afford to ignore it.

Ummm, 🤔 we are actually out here delivering food FOR MONEY. So if the app is allowing us to accept the orders it should be accounting for the orders time we received it and when it should arrive TO YOU within a decent amount of time. Thats the problem, it is only estimated. We can’t help when we arrive to pick up orders and we have to wait for them to prepare it for 10-15 minutes, or there are long lines in the drive thru. What about when they combine a small shopping order with a food pick up order. I honestly am very careful about add on’s because some of them literally make no sense and aren’t really close to one another’s either pick up or drop off location some times. You have to pay close attention to the map and don’t have but 20-30 seconds to look at it all and remember where you’re going for the previous orders. I’ve stacked orders and its taken a customer 1 hour and 15-30 minutes to get there food and most drivers probably don’t care to have an insulated bag so as a customer after a good 30 minutes I know more than likely my food is going to be cold. But I don’t order from these apps.

Well, the whole reason there are stops before yours is due to the fact that Uber now aggressively stacked orders together.

Those other orders have been sitting there, so when you order with say $10 ipfront tip, now Uber can get all 5 orders delivered for $12 and profits.

Stop tipping upfront and your chance of being the last dropoff decreases dramatically.

Lol...no,if you don't tip up front , you're less likely to get it delivered quickly.

Basically, a tip is more like a bid to get your order picked up at all

Maybe a year ago, it was like that, now Uber aggressively stacks other orders when you tip well, so all other "undelivered" orders are stacked so they all get delivered courtesy of the generous tip. And since dropoff route is mostly based on order time, the tipper gets their food last.
