I (28M) have been seeing this girl (27F) for about a month. We've been on four dates and things have been going pretty well.

She asked if I'd come with her to look at a used Mazda because she wanted a second opinion. I know a decent amount about cars so I figured why not.

When the salesman came over, she immediately introduced me as her boyfriend and told him I knew more about cars than she did. We haven't even talked about being exclusive yet.

The guy spent almost the entire time talking to me instead of her. After we left I asked why she called me her boyfriend and she said the last two dealerships she'd visited treated her like an idiot, so she figured bringing a guy would help.

I understand her reasoning but I felt a bit used. She could've just told me beforehand instead of putting me in that position.

She thinks I'm making a big deal out of nothing and said I should take it as a compliment that she wanted me there.

Would this bother anyone else or am I reading too much into it?

Payback time. Make the punishment fit the crime.

So I made More Executions to execute prisoners and slaves, and the first method is the electric chair.

How it works

• Research Electricity, build the chair and wire it to your grid.
• Set a prisoner (or slave) to execute: electric chair. A warden straps them in while they struggle, listens to their last words, then throws the switch.
• Three jolts. The body shakes, sparks fly, and the skeleton flashes through the skin, made from vanilla art so it still looks like RimWorld.

It's power hungry

• Every jolt pulls a 2,400 W burst. If your grid can't pay for it, the execution is botched: the prisoner survives, burned and furious, and everyone who watched is upset.
• The surge can blow a power conduit on the same circuit, battery explosion included. Hidden conduits are safe, if you planned ahead.

Why bother?

• Prisoners who watch lose 40% of their resistance and will. Slaves who watch become fully suppressed. Everyone else hears about it.
• With Ideology you can make it a public electrocution: speech, last words, audience, the works.

Same mood, precept and faction effects as a vanilla execution, so your ideoligion's beliefs still apply. Kind colonists will hate you for it.

Hello, i have a neighbour who does this every day. What is she doing?

Managed to Get my research station from 1->4 (had frigate part from last week only) and fully build out the outpost, all in around 2 hours today.

The tension has gone and so has the sense of achievement, all feels a bit pointless to just blast through maps without a care in the world. This isn't the game I bought.

Decided to go back to normal modes and now those are all KOS (i've traditionally been in mixed), so looks like the player base is splitting as people predicted.

Not sure where to go from here, but i'll leave feedback to Embark at the end of this. Anyone else feeling the same?

I’m so mad about the details that keep coming out from this ICE shooting in Marble Hill at 4 PM!! Like so many children were around 😡 Oscar Belgal still has a bullet lodged in his neck, and I just found out this has happened before - a man in Texas appeared in court in a wheelchair because he wasn’t released to have surgery on a bullet in his neck after TEN DAYS.

You guys whined for a pve mode, now you’re whining that the pve mode is pve. Sounds like you guys just want a mode where nobody can damage you but you can damage whoever you want

I have (almost) got them all exactly how I like - just a few more capes etc. to unlock until I'm completely happy! Open to any feedback; I'm very keen on being lore accurate, but balancing it with some flavour.

Women are significantly more harshly critical of men, than men are of women. It’s obvious from stats like the 80/20 idea, women’s like/dislike ratios, and even just the number of likes women get, compared to the number of likes men get.

On top of this, I see a lot of women failing to understand the men’s perspective in dating apps, and as a man, it’s extremely infuriating.

Getting 20 likes in a day ≠ 0 potential partners.
Getting 0 likes in a day = 0 potential partners.

It doesn’t matter if you THINK those 20 likes are all the same, just trying to fuck you, and have 0 intentions of dating, when you have 0 intentions of matching and even opening a conversation in the first place. Anyone attempting to refute this point is going to instead anecdotally prove this point, as it’s statistically impossible to have 80% of men have one/all of these in their bio.

The best analogy is having an average man and woman have to make a 3-point shot. Then giving the man 1 ball, and the woman 20 balls. You have a significantly higher chance of making that 3-point shot when you can try again if you miss any of them. Whereas the guy with 1 ball, gets 1 shot to make it work, and if he misses, that’s it. On top of it, the woman’s balls are restocked every single day, and the man has to wait weeks, and on occasion months, before he gets another 1 ball.

On top of it, this argue that all the men you get likes from are just trying to smash, or they’re weird, etc. without even matching with and attempting to talk to those men, are not like getting 20 deflated balls, it’s like looking at all 20 balls, and then going “yea those are too oddly shaped for me to even make a basket, so this isn’t fair” and then refusing to shoot any shots at all.

Meanwhile the man is begging for a tungsten steel ball, just so he can even try to make another shot.

There's nothing wrong with wearing pajamas to the store, park, casual restaurant, or really anywhere that doesn't have a posted dress code. As long as someone is appropriately covered and not offending children, there's no valid reason to care what other people are wearing.

People act like wearing pajamas to the grocery store is a personal insult, when really it's the opposite. What is insulting is judging others by what they wear. I'm here to be comfortable, not to please your standards ripped straight out of the 50s.

I've been told my standards are low for this perspective and frankly I take that as a compliment. You should never set standards on how other people dress.
