2026.09.22 - User Post +0, 8c - [OoT] Spoiler rule for remake screenshots needed.
From our General Spoiler Policy, which applies even outside of new releases:
Minor spoilers such as area titles, dungeon names, and character references are allowed but all Major spoilers including boss weaknesses, puzzle solutions, and any large story plot points must be tagged and flaired at all times.
For new releases, we also consider anything that has not been officially revealed by Nintendo to be spoilers as a starting point. Over the new release period, we revise and relax the spoiler policy, starting with more common or early game elements, until we effectively reach the general spoiler policy.
Additionally, we implement several automated flows to manage spoilers during new release periods, and we apply temporary bans even for accidental unmarked spoilers. Outside the new release period, only trolling-based or intentional unmarked spoilers are given a ban, so accidental unmarked spoilers would generally be provided a warning first.
A much more detailed version of our spoiler policy is available here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/zelda/wiki/rules/spoilerpolicy
The main impact of the spoiler policy is what is or is not allowed in post titles, as that is the part of the post that cannot be hidden under a spoiler tag, and it shows up in home feeds, search results, social media or external embeds, and so on. People are still allowed to post about spoilery topics, but their post titles must explain the kind of spoiler while being vague enough to not reveal it.
Right now, all publicly revealed information regarding Ocarina of Time on Switch 2 points to the game having much of the same content in regards to spoilers as the previous releases on N64 and 3DS.
We do not know if, or to what extent, that Nintendo may or may not have revised the game. They could have changed very little, or they could simply be avoiding marketing any significant changes as a way to hold them as surprises. Some potential examples where Nintendo has opportunity to introduce content which could differ from previous releases:
You may think that these examples are likely or unlikely, but in any case like these above, we would apply the New Release Spoiler Policy to such information.
This still leaves two big questions open for feedback:
1) Should the major plot points of previous released versions of Ocarina of Time be treated under the New Release Spoiler Policy? We currently have this written into the existing spoiler policy to be enforced. Example: In the Light Arrow Cutscene, Shiek is revealed to be Zelda.
2) Should the closeness or difference of the Switch 2 version's major plot points to previous versions be considered a spoiler? This is not currently written into our spoiler policy. Consider these example post titles:
"[OoT] I just beat the game, and the ending is exactly the same as the original, I can't believe it"
"[OoT] I just beat the game, and you won't believe the twist that changed so many things."
Let us know if there are other concerns or thoughts you have about the spoiler policy.
We are hosting a 7-day poll directly after this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/zelda/comments/1wni14u/oot_please_vote_to_help_us_shape_the_spoiler/
At the conclusion of that poll, we will post another update about the Spoiler Policy based on the poll results and the comments on both posts.
We are preparing a few other announcements for the next few weeks, and with the spike of activity here, that includes opening moderator applications. Send us a modmail if you would like to be notified when moderator applications are open.

Hi, VictorTael here! This drawing is part my Linktober challenge. Day 7 - Spirit.
I’ve always had a soft spot for Mipha and her connection with Link. Even after she’s gone, she never truly stops being there for him.
I wanted to capture that tenderness in this Mipha’s grace illustration, taking some inspiration from classical depictions of the Virgin Mary to convey a sense of purity, protection, and healing.
The rendering is a little rougher than I intended, but I’m happy with the emotion behind it.
Who do you ship Link with? 👀

I think Gloom Spawn or Gloom Hands is a really dumb name when compared to the other classic enemies they brought back like Gibdos, Phantom Ganon and Like-Likes (and also the Flux Constructs in their idle mode where they look like a Beamos statue), they look like a much more detailed version of the creepy Floormasters in Wind Waker
I hope I’m not alone in thinking this

It's been a couple years since my last replay of A Link to the Past and what surprised me about this replay was how I was cruising through the dungeons without much difficulty.
Had a great time all around, but I remembered struggling in previous runs and was mentally preparing for some of these dungeons to take a while or maybe needing a guide. Never happened. If anything, it was in the overworld where I found myself needing the occasional outside assist. Not sure if it's due to me playing a lot of Zelda/Metroid styled games since my last playthrough, but I can't complain.
I'm curious if anyone has had a similar experience returning to this game after a long stretch?

I painted this in Photoship CS4 over 15 years ago, I'm still pretty happy with it although there is much I'd change... but that is inevitable with art, a piece is never finished, just released.
Still green around the ears to posting on reddit... but hopefully not for long.
Remade the Carriage for the Spirit Train the other day, i am looking to explore more with this and trying to get it to run on a track inside Unreal Engine.
My girlfriend had a goal to beat a video game from start to finish this year. We decided to play Link's Awakening side by side and beat it together. I played the old one, and she played the Switch version. It was fun to go on this adventure with her and see the differences between the two games. :)

A few years back I learned Sky Guitar’s arrangement of Gerudo Valley, but it since got removed and I’m devastated! This one had a chokehold on me and the other arrangements out there aren’t what I want. If anyone saved the video or the tabs away somewhere, please share with me!

I’ve been trying to figure out from which website the tickets will go online for the upcoming concerts in Japan. Found out from a suspicious site the general sale for the Japanese concerts will begin on November the 18th? Anybody know if this is correct and from which website the tickets are gonna be sold? I missed to register for the lottery, did you have to do that to be able to try to buy tickets from the general sale?

Hey everyone! I finished up the Tingle Goddess Statue! The finished piece is a resin figure in two parts, and stands 7 inches tall. The paint work was pretty easy, just a couple of stone-colored spray paints mixed together, and then finished off with some brush work and washes. The stone texture really helped out a lot with the look. Let me know what you think! I have a handful of kits available in my Etsy shop right now.
