using athenol

The reading part claimed that as long as ethanol emissions carbon dioxide, it can not be a good alternative to other feuls. However, the professor thoutgh that due to more planting for producing ethanol carbon dioxide will be absorbed by plants. Therfore, it is obviusly a effective method to confront with global warming.

Secondly, it was argued that the plants are considered as a food supply for some kind of animals like cow. Thus, Useing plants to produce fuels can decrease the animals's source of food. On the other side, it was said that a part of plants that is not eatable by animals can be regarded as a fuel supply. It means that the using plants will not be a threatening for animal's food.

Lastly, the reading part asserted that there is no difference between fossile fuels and ethanols in regard of price. It claimed that the government's tax subsiders keep ethalon's price low. If the government stops doing that, ethanol gets expensive. However, the professor believed that the more ethanols will be generated, the price will be cheaper.

Walking and Talking

My friend and I like to go for a walk in the park, which is next to my apartment. She drives to my neighborhood and we walk and talk together.

We came up with an idea that we read a book of our choice and talk about it.

This week, we read "The Smile of Shoko" which is written in Korean.

Shoko in the story is a Japanese girl who visited the main character's high school as an exchange student and stayed at her house for a week. After she went back to Japan. So-you, the main character, and her grandfather got Shoko's letters. They corresponded for a certain period and stopped. The story shows how they communicated differently depending on what languages they used. It also shows that even with our own languages, we are not always honest, and sometimes with a clumsy use of a foreign language, we find ourselves more open about our feelings.

What I liked about the story is how the characters were influenced by other characters without their direct involvement. They were physically far from each other but that physical distance was the medium that tied them altogether.

My friend and I felt that we learned more about the story we chose while walking and talking. I am really looking forward to our next walk.

Please, correct my essay

Many people are afraid to leave their homes because of their fear of crime. Some people believe that more actions should be taken to prevent crime, but others feel that little can be done. Discuss both views and give your opinion?

Over the past decades, the issue of crime has been attracting attention and provoking debate. Although it is widely suggested that more preventive (preventative) measures should be conducted against criminals, the issue as to whether this method could deter offenders effectively or not remains controversial. In the following essay, both sides of this phenomenon will be discussed as well as my own point of view on this matter.

On the one hand, some people are right to think that more actions should be carried out for crime prevention. Firstly, the citizens are able to install security systems such as high-security locks and CCTV cameras to protect themselves. Therefore, they will not only guard their facilities’ protection from lawbreakers but also contribute to the general security strategy of the community. From an administrative perspective moreover, the federal government should increase the number and frequency of police patrols, especially during the late hours in order to stop various felonies such as murders, rapes, assaults and even some petty crimes like breaking in and burglaries and pickpocketers. Additionally, the central government could also provide citizens with economic means to become financially independent to avoid going out late to earn money, along with intensifying the severity of punishments for criminals. As a result, the more severe the sentences for offenders will cause the crime rate to lower.

On the other hand, some opponents justified that there was just little success to be achieved in preventing criminal projects. First and foremost, it is important to recognize that criminal tendency is inherent in some individuals. Therefore they can be more dangerous when joying criminal networks, in which the habit of serious crime has become too strong for them to fear the law because lawbreaking was in their bloodline. Furthermore, a severe problem is that the justice system is corrupted and also politicians are bribed by criminals so the government does not resist evil in society. Thus, more and more serious offenders have been appearing in the world. Consequently, the public nowadays does not have entire faith in law enforcement. For example, the large number of mafia members in Italy used to bribe the police successfully and established dangerous criminal system not only in this nation, but also in many countries, which leads the world to a serious fear of abuse, drug movement and crime.

In conclusion, under no circumstances should people underestimate the hazardous level of criminality and take (form) a subjective attitude toward it, because it can lead innocent inhabitants to criminal situations and even lethal life, while the government could not resist the crime due to their corruption. In my opinion, both citizens and the authorities should take proactive action on crime prevention projects to contribute to a safer society.

A blow on the head

By the end of June I happened to have quite a serious blow on my head. I was in the act of shutting closed the tilting door of my garage when I got a terrible blow on my head. At first, I felt stunned and confused, then I got back to what I'd been doing until then. Meanwhile I needed some ice to put on my head but I remembered I couldn't open the door inside the refrigerator where ice is stored because the refrigerators needs to be defrosted, so I rushed to the nearest chemist's to buy some artificial ice. At the moment of paying, I forgot how much I owed for the ice, so I asked the chemist again. The funny young chemist smiled at me and said "5.000,00 euros!" and added that he could easily swindle me in that circumstance. I returned his smile, paid for the ice and went home. Once at home, I struggled hard to open the ice bag but I couldn't manage. I resolved to ask my neighbour for some ice. When I put it on my head, my hand touched a bump there which promised to grow bigger.

Help with some writings

Hello ,I am currently working on leveling up my English from C1 to C2. So could please someone help me improving these short paragraphs to seem more advanced ?

It claims that young people are manipulated as many purchases are dawn on them. There is a barrage of aesthetic ads aimed at them: no sooner they find themselves under a spell. That is allegedly intended to make them feel better about their life and self.

It argues that concerns about young people's lack of judgment are overstated and total exaggeration. However, they view the diversity and frequent advertisements as a practice for the youth's critical thinking. Even more, they thrust them into making cognitively sensible decisions.

The end of this community-Important advise!

Well guys, I’ve found few minutes ago that the original creator of the idea now has a community in English r/WritestreakEN. The community which he made was created later than mine, but he had the original idea with r/writestreak and r/writestreakES. He didn’t tell me to end this community or something like that. I made this subreddit and used his idea to keep practicing and I find irrelevant keep posting here if there’s already a community like this, but with more people and created by u/dzcFrench. Thanks for the support, but now, I’ll write in that sub.

Streak 1 : Vacations

As a guy who was born and always live in a place making up of both fabulous mountain and lake landscapes, being on vacation means only one thing for me : the vital need to see the sea. That's the reason, my family and I are used to heading toward a seaside resort every single summer. One thing I love to recall is the delicious smell of the sea as we get closer. We try to keep this habit but as part of growing up you take on more responsibilities, and this becomes even more difficult to keep on.

I also like to go on vacations with some of my friends, going to diverse exotic places all around the world. Traveling with your friends is clearly a different experience. In effect, we all become philosophers with my friends all the time around a good drink whereas I'd describe the experience that goes with my family as more laid-back and soothing. In each case, I try to live in the moment as much as possibe.

I haven't planned anything in my concern for the next vacations because we live in times too uncertain. How does this covid thing is going to evolve ? Only time will tell.

Streak 3: Vacations

Since I live with my family, all of my vacations that I had I was with them. We usually go to the beach or to somewhere nice, like a club, to stay for a week.

Actually, I don't like that much spending my vacations with my family, since I already see them every single day and, sometimes, they can really piss me off. But what can I do? I'm forced to follow them wherever they go lol

Although we always travel to somewhere every vacation, I always spend it mostly at home. I don't know about you, fellow redditors, but, sometimes, traveling can be really tiring for me. So, I just prefer to stay home and relax playing some videogames and watching TV shows.

Streak 3: Vacations

My favorite places to go when on vacation are the beaches. I'm more inclined to like beaches in the low season, though. In the high season, there are a lot of people on the beaches, they make noise, they let thrash all over the sand and the sea, and they occupy a lot of space from the beautiful views we could have otherwise at the beach.

Therefore, even though I love beaches, I like the experience of visiting them in the low seasons, when it's possible to undisturbedly walk by the sea feeling the wind in my face without the risk of being harassed with a soccer ball hitting my face, or with brazilian 'sertanejo' music being played out loud.

Regardless of loving to go to the beach, I cannot treat myself with a vacation on the beach this year or the next because of the coronavirus pandemic. So for a while, I'll probably just get stuck working or studying, hoping that the pandemic ends soon, so we could all get out of our houses with safety and enjoy the things we used to appreciate.

Streak 2: The news

I believe that checking on the news is something that everyone should do every day, because it's important to be informed about things that are happening in your city, in your state, in your country or in the world. So, I have the habit of checking the news every day when I can.

But we have to be careful when it comes to checking the news, because there's a lot of unreliable sources on the internet (or even on TV). I believe that every country is facing problems related to fake news. Although the internet has democratized the information, it became easier to spread fake information about someone or something. It's important to have a critical thinking, so you can doubt everything that you see and check its veracity.

Streak 2: The news

I’m not used to read the news; they get me sad or mad because the news in my community are about murders, thefts and all kinds of crime—The news which are non-related to crime are about politics, but neither I like nor understand the politics. As a good millennial I just read e-news on my cellphone. However, I think that being informed is important.

Streak 2: The news

I live in a big city in Brazil. In Brazil, the news are mostly monopolized by few enterprises, owned by a few families. The biggest of these enterprises is Rede Globo, that had grown during the military dictatorship we had from 1964 and 1985. This media known to influence politics in a great base. There's actually an old documentary (that still relevant) from BBC about it, it's called "Beyond Citizen Kane"). The current president of Brazil rivalizes a lot with this media chain. On the other side, there's another big media chain owned by the Evangelical Church "Universal". This media chain is called "Record". Record and another media chain, SBT, are both clearly, opened at Bolsonaro's political side. Honestly I wish we had more local news that were not owned by the biggest chains, I think we could earn a lot as a society if we didn't let the big companies monopolize our information.

Streak 1: Sports

Well, actually, I am not into sports. I am a couch potato, so I do not practice any sports at all. I prefer to stay home, play some videogames and watch TV shows.

When I was a kid, I used to take swimming classes every week because I had a respiratory disease (bronchitis) and my doctor said that swimming would help me. Because of that, I was practically forced to go swimming but I liked it. But when I got into high school, I stopped taking swimming classes. So, I believe I have not practiced any sports for 5 years.

In spite of that, I think I would like to try a sport that I have never tried before, like tennis or golf.

My favourite sport is the boxing; I think it’s because my father would teach me how to do it. I got knocked out once in my first match, my mother was horrified, but my father (for any reason) was proud of me.
