My (39F) husband (40M) and I were going out to a show for our 13th wedding anniversary. Admittedly, I've gained weight recently and have been struggling with depression, so it's hard for me to want to get dressed up.

He made a big deal out of me dressing up and putting on makeup for our night out. He's never cared about makeup before, so I don't know where it came from.

I ended up putting on a dress and some makeup. While we were out, he asked me whether I'd ended up putting on makeup or not. What the hell was the point if he couldn't even tell the difference?

Saw a lady spamming her homemade cake business on Nextdoor. Thought I’d give her a shot for my daughter’s birthday. Got a store bought cake with this attempt at drawing Minnie Mouse for 2x the price of just going to the grocery store.

Got an email that a therapist I had one telehealth visit with 8 weeks ago randomly booked a next day appointment for me and messaged me saying he hoped we could meet. I tried to cancel the appointment but it’s not allowed because it’s “less than 24 hrs out so it’s a late cancel which incurs a fee”. So I go to delete my card on file. Nope, I have to cancel my entire account to do that.

So I online chat with a person to delete my account and complain about the therapist booking a next day appointment without my consent and locking me into a late cancel situation, and then after stringing me along they tell me I have to be escalated to a “tier two specialist” who isn’t live, but will read my chat in 48 hours and address the situation.

So annoying to have been forced into wasting my time.

Preface I probably should have been more aware of my surroundings but this was probably not preventable. Background I am a 23f nursing student that is currently doing a clinical in lower Manhattan. I was on my way to clinical this morning and still had time before I needed to go in, so I decided to get dunkin as I’ve done many times before. All was good up until this point I order my food, a $6 meal that came with a sandwich, hash browns, and a coffee, and I go to sit at a table. This is a relatively small Dunkin that had only 2-3 tables available. But again I have already done this same routine many times before. I’m eating my breakfast while I’m talking on the phone with my mom to pass the time as I watch people go in and out of the Dunkin. Maybe 15-20 minutes into me passing the time. My half drank iced coffee was grabbed by a homeless lady as I watched her drink from my straw and run out of the dunkin. I was in shock as I wasn’t expecting my coffee to be snatched right before my eyes and then very confused as I watched this lady run out with my coffee. I decided I was already over the day and went to my hospital clinical coffee-deprived.

Probably AI slop we got from school.

I took my son to Kohls because he needed some jeans and underwear. I haven’t been to a Kohls in a couple years because I think their store is always in disarray and I hate standing in long lines because they only have 2 or 3 of the 10 cash registers open.

But my wife had a coupon for 30% so off we went. Their clearance section is impossible to look through because they are not categorized by size, forcing everyone to just walk down the entire rack looking at each piece individually. Then, the hangers that indicate small, medium, large, extra large aren’t even on the correct size clothing, forcing you to read each tag individually.

We gave up on looking at clearance and went over to the regular priced jeans and he found two pair. Grab a bag of 6 Hanes boxer shorts for $38 and headed to the register, thinking the 30% off coupon will get out the door at $100.

After standing in line for 20 minutes, the cashier totals everything up at $138 and my wife hands her the 30% coupon. Their clearance total is $125. I commented that the discount didn’t work properly and the associate states that the jeans are name brand so not included in the sale.

I review the coupon’s fine print and see nothing about Levi jeans being excluded so I ask for clarification. The associate then states that “all high end clothes like Under Amour and Levi’s are always excluded from their promotions.” I asked how we as customers are supposed to know this unless it’s clearly excluded on the coupon. She just said sorry so we left; paying $125 for two pairs of jeans and a 6 pack of underwear.

It feels like deceptive advertising and it was the last time I shop at Kohls.

WHAT THE FUCK, DEBRA?

Okay so to preface, im not fully sure if my friend is actually faking color blindness, and im also aware people can develop color blindness, but im fairly certain she is faking lol😭

Anyways, ever since a few months ago my friend has just randomly started pretending she cant differentiate random colors. There's no pattern of colors she supposably cant tell apart and it happened very randomly. We've been really good friends since childhood, and I know she has never had any color blindness issues, and she also sometimes has a tendency to lie for attention (I dont mean this is a mean way, its just something ive noticed).

Like, today she randomly started picking up markers and getting really close to inspect them, and then told my other friend "Im colorblind so I cant even tell the difference, oh well!". Like, bro😭. I usually wouldn't care but it was so weird to me😭. It just felt like she was trying to have people ask her about it and take pity on her or something.

Also, a couple weeks ago she randomly started taking an online colorblind test while we were on the phone and she was acting like she didnt know almost half the answers😭😭

Shes a great friend, but I think its pretty weird that she lies about random stuff so often. I think I know the reason why she lies so often, but its kind of a long story, so I wont get into the details. Anyways, I really dont care too much about it but it gets a bit annoying sometimes lol.

I get mistakes happen and maybe there was an off chance the person making them accidentally saw “no pickle” but idk. I noticed they held the onion on both of these also so they were plain, besides the abnormal amount of ketchup they put on.

I have extreme anxiety around going to the dentist, I’d rather go to the doctors and get a shot for 5 in a row than 1 dentist appointment. Sitting and waiting makes it soooo much worse 🫪

The vending machines at my university used to let you just tap your card and buy whatever you wanted.

Now you have to install their app, make an account, recharge an in-app wallet, scan the machine, place an order through the app, and then confirm it… all for a drink or snack.

The more annoying part these machines are usually the cheapest option on campus compared to the actual stores, so I used to use them a lot. But honestly, I’d rather pay more than deal with all this hassle just to buy a can of soda.
