We as a community have decided to limit certain types of posts to a few days a week to ensure other content is still visible throughout the rest of the week. Meme posts will be allowed from game end through Monday (if the game is on Thursday, Saturday, or Monday, memes will be allowed from game end through the following day) and jersey/crafts/pet posts will only be allowed on Swag Saturday. Towards the end of the season when games fall on Saturdays, we may move or skip Swag Saturday depending on what is going on that week. The mods are using automod features to automatically post recurring items at 6AM Eastern Time to remind the sub of this. Memes and swag are allowed in the normal feed, but NFL discussion and free talk are limited to the stickied threads.
For more info, see the subreddit rules.
No other games today.

My mini Jordan, so clutch, you'll see this week, he's going to prove all you doubters wrong once again, he's a former Super Bowl MVP, I'd take a Super Bowl MVP over any other QB in the league, argue with a wall.

Why would we get rid of a QB with his accomplishments? Tell me what college QB went to two Super Bowls, I’ll wait
If you’re a true eagles fan, you should only care about Jalen earning his spot, not the best chance we have to win in the future!

Herbert’s already fragile as is and low on confidence. This isn’t the fanbase/city to play for if you’re a mental midget. Ask Ben Simmons.

Our problems seem to be we keep taking halftime. I think we should just keep the team on the field the entire time. Maybe include them in the halftime show of games. Maybe do some on field actions like fix some divets, engage with fans, play a 15 minute practice against themselves. Anything BUT letting them go through the fuck ass Space Jam tunnel that steals their talent at halftime!

Serious question. There's been so much handwringing on this sub about Hurts, Sirianni, Mannion, Stoutland, even Howie. But our team has been decimated on the offensive side. All while learning a brand new system. And yet we still hung around with two clear playoff teams until the very last seconds of each game. If you replace Hurts, do we magically become some dominant force with this lineup? If you replace Sirianni, do we magically become 5-0? (Okay, maybe we're at least 3-2).
At least me personally, I'm not making any rash decisions. I want to see some key players back on the field. I want to see the team have more time to get used to the new system. I want to see the starters actually start to gel and develop some comfort with one another. I want Mannion to get some more experience calling plays. Lot of season left for that to happen.

I personally would, plus he ran more in 2023 than now which added another dimension to the offense and complicated things for the defense. I remember a lot of his turnovers in 2023 also being pretty unlucky (tipped balls, receivers slipping on routes, etc) or late game desperation heaves downfield. I want him to be more aggressive like he was in 2023 (just slightly more mindful about ball security).

UK Eagles and Flyers fan since 2001. Since 10 years old. Not yet been to America and missed the Eagles in 2018 London because a prick of a mate picked that weekend for his wedding.
I was there on Sunday and felt like I was in Philly. Got my first Go Birds and fist bump within seconds of getting off the train. London loved hosting you!
I've been to a lot of sporting events and have never heard booing as loud and sustained as when we got that stop near the end. Everyone understood the assignment and the defense was feeding off it, waving their arms telling us to keep it going. A moment I'll never forget.
Despite the constant narrative I saw zero bad behavior from any Birds fans the whole day. What I have seen online though is dickheads making fun of the young kid who was crying at the end having the nerve to call us classless.
Fuck those people laughing at a little kid.
Fuck Dallas!
Nobody likes us we don't care.
Best fans in the world.
Go Birds always!

From what I recall, before the season every local (Roob, local stations) and national (like Baldy, Chris Long) reporters were telling us to temper expectations of this offense and that it will “take time” for things to get rolling as everyone acclimates to the new system. This was even this sub’s consensus.
To me, this meant at LEAST 1/3 (week 5-6) of the season until things begin to improve.
Given the combination of the laundry list of injuries to our first stringers, the sudden retirement of our best player leading to the depletion and weekly shuffling of our OL using rookies and PS players, AND the tough stretch of games as we go through it (losing to top talent teams like LAR, JAX by one possession in winnable games + a division game to follow)…
Doesn’t it stand to reason that the way we look right now makes sense for the current circumstances?
Yes things look terrible but in my eyes the math checks out on the root causes. Better days SHOULD be ahead.
At this point the only thing I can’t explain is Jalen Carter’s inconsistency. If he can be like he was in London every week we have a shot at anyone. But hey, it seems like his wrist is healing so he’s playing better so maybe that’s it. Go figure.
Go Birds. I’m not off this train yet
