This is Chandler Whitmer. Our quarterbacks coach. He is a young offensive mind on the coaching staff. He came from Indiana where he was the QB coach and co-offensive coordinator there. He helped develop Mendoza. He is obviously helping develop Jalon currently and it looks like it is working. Daniels signed here undrafted and his now starting for Baker as you all know. Jalon's start was much better vs Dallas (I know dallas defense) but I don't think it was a fluke, and I honestly think he'll play better vs Pittsburgh returning home. (Hopefully the o-line will block for him this time) Now I'm not saying this guy is Dave Canales or Liam Coen, but I do think he has potential to be a great play-caller in the NFL someday. So, I'm just saying we should keep him at all costs and quite could even possibly promote him to a higher position next year. I could just be wishful thinking or talking out of my ass, however, I think there could be something there with this guy. Hell, he could even replace Zac Robinson next year. Thoughts?

What if we do have a decent team and Baker and Bowles are both washed.

Imagine the team we could have the next few years with the right coach and Jalon Daniels on a low cost deal. Even if we drafted a QB in the first round in addition to Daniels, we’d still have way more money left over for the rest of the team than we do now with this Baker deal.

The 49ers went to the SB with Purdy on a cheap deal, the Seahawks will Russell Wilson, even the Pats last year with Maye on his rookie deal. There’s tons of other examples. Brady was night and day better than Baker and he was taking way less money putting the team first. Baker wants some giant deal and we screwed the franchise by giving it to him.

Jalon completed 76% of his passes for 189 yards and 23 rushing yards. No turnovers.

These are not all-star numbers, they are game-manager numbers and they’re exactly what this team needs to win football games. (And we only need 9 wins to make the playoffs in this division)

Baker needs to do LESS in order for this team to win. Focus on the basic job of a QB, no hero ball. Complete 70%+ passes, don’t hold on to the ball too long, don’t put yourself in harms way, and for the love of ball don’t commit turnovers. Lean on the running backs to do the scrambling and set up play action. Back-to-basics for Baker or he needs to ride pine until he learns how to WIN.

This sub has been posting and commenting about the Mike Evans "3rd & 28!!!" cry for months and months and months. I log on today, and there it is at the top again! Let's recap even though we don't need to...

- Bucs had a big lead and definitely should have won
- Bucs blow the game, notably not getting the ball back after Atlanta had 3rd & 28
- Mike Evans is caught in the tunnel yelling "3rd and 28" and people think that's why he left (which makes me laugh but that's neither here nor there)
- Now we have a CURTAIN in the tunnel so this won't be caught on camera again (which is soft)
