Dotson > Mooney
Jahan Dotson has been one of the least talked about new Falcon players, but he's one of my favorite upgrades and I hope to see him more.
He's been great at getting open, but hasn't got many targets yet, but he's made great catches when he was needed.
Overall I'm glad we've moved on from Mooney and feel way more confident with our upgraded receiver core

It’s not over yet
Rams are 2-3 and the falcons are 2-3. Rams were SB favorites. So by that logic’s falcons are algo Super Bowl favorites lol. We still have hope!

Image I swear if this happens for the 3rd season in a row…
Squirrel made an appearance in Mercedes Benz last night.
Sorry I don't have a video of it, but when the Ravens were going for the +2 to tie the game near the end of regulation, the Benz played a hype video for everyone to "get loud" and spammed a bunch of memes back to back and the dancing Squirrel made an appearance. /u/-muddy-water- would be proud.

Sad but true: Drake london has had zero red zone targets throughout the multiple times the falcons were in the red zone
jake matthew’s,jahan dotson bijan robinson brian robinson kyle pitts austin hooper all have more red zone targets then drake. Kind of crazy that the guy we paid 150 million to isnt gettin the ball at all in the red zone when he’s a matchup nightmare

Narrative doesn't match. He made one mistake but he did not lose the game.

Whats with all the penix hate
Why is penix getting hate for the ravens game?
Yeah he missed some crucial throws, but at the end of the game he had us up 8 points.
The defense just absolutely got mopped at the end of the game, in every phase, then Pitts’s and Bijan missed a tacked and he got plummeted on his blind side and he still got up and played after words untill he could not.
Every miss is under a microscope for him for some odd reason. When he had 75% completion this was a thing. Every single ball must be complete for him. The throw to Bijan was a miss. Oh well it’s a miss Find me an nfl quarterback never missing on Sunday.
9 did his job, I don’t get the hate.
Ps I don’t think he’s perfect, he has his flaws but he did good.

Image Lol. Lmao even.
Yet another classic falcons choke job. At least we know that we can only beat up on bad teams and can't hang with even decent competition, see yall next week.

Michael Penix Jr.
I love how everyone acting like he tore his ACL again, it’s a non injury prone rib guys. It’s also the NFL, guys get banged up and get injuries. He took a blindside hit right to his rib cage, a good amount of QB’s would’ve sustained some sort of injury as well. But anyway sources say he will likely be back next week. So, please stop acting like the seasons over because of one game. We still need to see what we have at QB in him.

I love how Penix changes so much at the line of scrimmage
For all his faults, his pre snap diagnosis is genuinely out of this world. I remember Zac Robinson saying the same thing last off season, that Penix can read pre snap coverages and was able to rattle off everything going on after plays.
I haven't seen any QB since Philip Rivers last year make so many adjustments in 2026, and every time he did it, he found the open guy. He struggles mid play to adjust when his pre snap read is taken away, but goddamn dude can command an offense.
There is hope. Not too much, but it is there. Penix is just too good when he plays for me to stop believing, unless he gets another ACL tear this year

Analysis 2026 Game 5 Analysis
Although it wasn’t the ending we all wanted, I thought this was a decent effort in all three phases as the Falcons once again showed a very important trait—adaptability—that’s been missing the last several years. Breakdown of key observables:
- Penix is fine. He is still a bit yippy under pressure, but this is a trait most NFL QB’s would have anyways. It’s worth noting that Penix has almost completely cleaned up from last year a major concern—deep ball accuracy—and made some incredible plays when the team needed it.
- Short accuracy is becoming the next key need to evolve on. That said, I don’t understand the digs at mental or physical toughness. Penix was more willing to run than we have seen in the past, came back in after only one play sitting out a hell of a hit, and overall you can tell he wants to be out there. I think people need to give the kid a more even take.
- We have no feasible backup QB, except perhaps Strand, who isn’t ready for prime time anyways. This is very, very bad. Look how solid some teams’ backup QB’s are, then look where we are. Knowing if Rush or Tua come in = auto L is disastrous.
- London and the receiving corps in general is looking solid.
- Still not sold on Pitts. I think the deal last year was a result of recency bias and I didn’t like it when it happened.
- Tommy Rees is a dramatic upgrade. Callahan‘s line coaching is worth gold. Ulbrich was able to adjust to start limiting Henry, and runs unpredictable plays that are a thing of beauty. I really like our entire coaching and coordinator staff.
- We need to clean up these penalties on kickoffs and returns.
- I get what we were doing with the pass attempt to Matthews. I would have rather seen it happen later on, after perhaps a comfortable lead was in place.
- We had multiple chances to put this one away. It didn’t work out. That happens in the game of inches. It’s not instantly a litmus test on where we are. I get that we’re all traumatized, but this team is trending up, fast.
- Mardi Gras beads originated from an old New Orleans tradition of wearing a jewel for each item on one’s rap sheet. Fuck the Saints.
