Guy takes over r/hysterectomy, deletes and bans all criticism
For reference, the new mod has a LONG history of taking over womens' spaces and shilling his business. His first "official post" as a moderator was to ban discussion of sexism, which is a very relevant topic when it comes to healthcare as women face multiple layers of hostility and sexism in trying to get care. Conveniently, when this rule was criticized, he then deleted that post as well.
Several people have caught bans (we are discussing this elsewhere) for pointing out his authoritative and dismissive tone towards anyone and everyone with concerns, ranging from a simple "why was no one involved in this decision" to "why is a cis man telling us how to manage our emotions" (in his first action, he told us to go outside).
I can't even provide much in the way of proof of what's happening because he is deleting everything he doesn't like. Even posts talking about moderator code of conduct have been deleted, he's hidden himself from the moderator list (which is now just him) so that people can't report him directly.
People with no history of offenses are getting temporary and permanent bans despite the fact that those are lower on the tier and require more offenses to be the given moderator action, so he is breaking his own rules.
On a personal note I haven't seen any slurs or anything of that nature thrown his way, mostly just questioning why a man is in charge of a female space, why no one was asked about this, why specifically he is against the discussion of sexism in healthcare.

AITAH for refusing to let my wife give away something I made for our daughter?
My wife and I have a 7 year old daughter and a few months ago I built her a little reading corner in our spare room. I made the shelves myself, painted the walls with her favorite colors and spent several weekends putting everything together. She absolutely loves it and spends hours reading there. Last week my wife's sister visited with her 6-year-old son. He saw the reading corner and wanted one of the small bookshelves for his bedroom. My wife told her sister she could have it, saying we could easily build another one. I wasn't there when she offered it. I found out later when my daughter came to me crying because her aunt was planning to collect the shelf that weekend. I told my wife I wasn't giving it away. It wasn't just an ordinary shelf to our daughter and nobody had even asked her how she felt about it. My wife said I was making a big deal out of a piece of furniture and that her nephew deserved something nice too. I suggested we help her sister build a similar shelf instead, but my wife said that wasn't the point anymore because she'd already promised it. Now she's upset that I made her look bad in front of her sister while her sister thinks I'm being petty over something that can be replaced. I don't mind helping my wife's family and I'd happily build another shelf. What bothers me is that my wife volunteered something our daughter loves without asking either of us first.
AITAH for refusing to let the shelf go, even though my wife had already promised it to her sister?

PTR / Beta Blizzard is taking gold buying serious
I could lie and make up an excuse but I will be honest. Yes I did buy 250g in the beta. I wanted to level my professions quickly because I do not have a lot of time to play and I felt that since it was a beta, it wouldn't harm anyone. Was it the right thing to do? No, no excuses.
But I figured I would post this for you guys to see because they did state they would take gold buying a lot more seriously. 250g doesn't seem like much to me and yet they handled it swiftly and clearly state they will NOT reinstate the account. Maybe it was a fluke, and I got unlucky but the account had its trading from player to player and auction house accessibility restricted within one day. I'm sure mail was also axed but I never tried it. When it happened I thought it might've been a bug but when I asked other player's about it, no one was having a similar experience and I knew I had blew it.
Learn from my mistake and don't risk your REAL Forever account for a little gold.
EDIT: To be clear, they only banned my BETA account. Should they have banned all my accounts? Yes.
Will I be able to play Forever when it is live? I do not know.
And yes I know it's only a beta and everything will be wiped. Feel free to talk crap, I knew the risk.

Advice Needed Slept with my friend, and she’s pretending it never happened
Take away Honey Chicken :(
I had some friends over to my place so we could drink and celebrate the weekend, and the end of uni exams. This included quite a bit of vodka 😭 I don’t drink that often but I’m fairly light weight, so I drank less than everyone else. It was getting late we were all starting to sober up and get ready for bed, I’d dragged some mattresses in the living room earlier. There wasn’t enough room for everyone so my friend, (20F) and I (20F) decided we’d just sleep in my bedroom away from everyone else. I’m pretty sure it was my idea?
She and I are definitely the closest in the group, we like to hang out alone sometimes and she stays over at mine just the two of us all the time. She did drink a little bit more than me but she always says she has a lot higher tolerance for alcohol and never gets blackout drunk (I know this is true, I’ve seen her barely get drunk from half a bottle of vodka)
Once we got into my bed it got kind of weird. It was freezing, so we kind of spooned and snuggled under the covers while we started talking about something or rather I don’t remember. I can’t quite remember how we first crossed the line but she started kissing my hand and caressing my neck. I told her we were drunk and I don’t want her to regret doing something weird, but she kept saying over and over again how she wouldn’t forget, she won’t regret it and she wasn’t that drunk anymore.
Kissing turned into more, and I can’t remember exactly how long it went but I am 100% certain we did A LOT more than just kissing, things I’ve never done with anyone let alone a girl.
She kept saying “I want to try everything with you”. Eventually when I started sobering up enough I made her stop. She begged me to keep going but she didnt push me to, and respected my wishes so we just talked for another 30 minutes until we fell asleep, cuddling much closer than friends do. We talked about ‘would you ever date a girl?’ (We both said we would) I don’t remember the rest of what we talked about right before sleeping but I remember feeling happy and safe with her and glad it had happened, although weird our friends were in the other room and probably heard us moaning 😭😭
Long story short next morning she doesn’t mention it at all. Keeps dropping hints infront of our friends like “wow I don’t remember anything about last night at all, though my neck kind of hurts” I know she remembers and is just pretending she doesn’t, I can see by the look on her face. Everyone left yesterday, and we’ve only sent each other one message since and it was pretty dry.
I want to text her so bad, I want to tell her I know you remember and I don’t care if you regret it but don’t pretend it wasn’t real. We crossed a line we can’t uncross and I’m feeling things she can’t just sweep under the rug.
What do I do? Do I confront her or just pretend it never happened like she wants me to?? 😫
Edit: will update when I finally talk to her, I’m going to send her a message to ask talk in person. Thank you for all the advice, especially the brutally honest comments, I needed to hear it

POLITICS Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar's home was raided by Homeland Security Investigations this morning as part of a criminal investigation.
The search was conducted by Homeland Security Investigations agents, said the people, who were not authorized to publicly discuss an ongoing investigation and spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity. More details about the investigation and its focus were not immediately clear, though Vice President JD Vance last May signaled that the Trump administration would investigate Omar for immigration fraud allegations, which she has denied.
The Justice Department said in a statement Monday that HSI agents executed a judicially authorized search warrant secured by the department in the Washington, D.C., area but provided no other details.
“This enforcement action is part of an ongoing federal criminal investigation,” the department said.
A message left with the Department of Homeland Security, of which Homeland Security Investigations is part, was not immediately returned.
Omar, 44, represents Minnesota’s 5th District, including Minneapolis. She was first elected to the House in 2018 and has been known as a member of what’s called The Squad of female lawmakers known for their progressive views and pointed opposition to the Republican president.
Republicans have raised questions about Omar’s past since before she was even elected, including asserting that she had married her brother and committed immigration fraud. Omar has broadly denied the allegations as “disgusting lies.”
“It certainly seems like something fishy is there, but everybody’s entitled to equal justice under the laws,” Vance told reporters in May. “So we’re going to investigate it. We’re going to take a look at it. If we think there’s a crime, we’re going to prosecute that crime.”

Medicine Menopause isn't a slow fade, it's a sudden switch: a study of 300 million lab tests from over one million women found bones, liver, kidneys, and blood fats all change abruptly at the final period. Men of the same age show no such jump, and hormone shifts that predict it start up to 15 years earlier.
