Since switching to an iphone this is definitely my least favorite thing I’ve had to deal with. I tend to type pretty quickly so I make spelling errors often enough, and I’d like to go to specific parts of the word to do so, but I HAVE to hold down on the word to do it, and I would really rather not do that even if it barely takes a few seconds.

The phone fell on a really busy road and it wasn’t until 40 minutes into his ride that my dad realized he had left his phone on the roof of his car. The phone alerted me that he had been in a bad accident so I rushed to the area only to find his phone lol

What’s shocking is the phone is still fully functional internally. It can both make and accept calls, and answers to find my. Siri obviously works as well since that’s how I called without a screen lol. Im still in shock that the phone is functional and it’s a testament to Apples quality.

Does anyone know which setting is making this issue? I just want to capture the real scenery... I captured the first pic immediately before it changes color within seconds so thats why it's not focused/HD.

For the past few days, my phone has been acting super weird when I get in the car. I drive a 2026 Chevy Equinox. What happens is, I’ll get in the car, and after a few minutes my phone will close and give a pop up with “Activation Required” and then acts like I just updated it to a new version, giving me the Hello in different languages. It doesn’t let me back into my phone until I get a WiFi connection which I typically don’t have in the car. This is a huge problem because I lose access to music and the phones map app for GPS. I don’t know what to do anymore.

Hi! Got my new iPhone and I noticed that the text looks much smoother (less crisp) and the screen seemingly has less contrast than my old iPhone 15 pro. Which I feel makes it's difficult to read - my eyes are sooo tired after reading on my new phone. Has anyone else experienced that? I feel I'm going crazy, but I do spend a lot of time reading on my phone and now it like physically hurts.

hello everyone! surely this is a rare bug but i can’t help but post about it because i’ve been plagued with this issue since ios 18. i use personal hotspot quite frequently as i use another iphone for media when i am away from my desk setup, however this bug is quite a nuisance for everyday use. i can’t connect if i have my wifi toggled to off on my host device (not to auto reconnect, but completely off) from my understanding hotspot already disables the wifi so i don’t understand why it needs to be on before the host device is discoverable? (i use bluetooth connection for them) i also have to go into wifi settings or personal hotspot settings on the host phone to make it discoverable as well. these devices are linked to the same icloud and are constantly being connected to each other so it’s strange to me that my devices don’t seem to want to cooperate unless i literally do every single process manually

i turn my wifi on my host device to “off” to a) save battery and b) because i have shitty wifi in the area i am using so i’d rather have a stable hotspot connection than shot-ty wifi.

connected device: iphone 8 plus (my m2 macbook pro (goldengate) , iphone 5c (ios 10), and iphone xs (ios 18) suffer the same issue)

not sure if this is a bug, if it is i’d love to know. otherwise i’m interested in understanding why this is the case, thanks everybody!

has anybody noticed their iphone locks (turns the screen off) right when you press the power button quickly than before, like when you have to double press the power button while downloading any app, when i did that my iphone locked on the first click, never happened to me before, i have an iphone 14 pro max!! please let me know if anybody faced this issue or is it just me!!

I’ve been encountering these lens glare whenever I take a photo of a light (may it be the sun or just inside a bright room). To remove it, I always have to take the photo with my phone upside down. Is this an internal issue or do I need to have the camera fixed? Thanks.

hey guys, don’t know if anyone else has had this issue but i had some photos in my hidden folder and they’ve randomly disappeared, they’re not unhidden, they’re not in recently deleted and not on my iCloud. i’ve been trying to get help off of apple support but we keep going through the motions with the same solutions that never work out and then i get disconnected or they suggest i call the number instead. was wondering if anyone had had any similar issues and what they did to remedy them? i was wondering if reverting back to an older backup would work, pls let me know, thanks.

Ran a race recently in the rain with my phone in my pocket. My iPhone 15 Pro had a small chip on the front glass in the top right corder. Discovered water underneath the lens so took it to a shop to get the water cleaned out the day after. After a screen replacement, the phone started to cycle on and off every 3 minutes. Was this due to a faulty repair or was the water damage inevitable? Trying to weigh my options before shelling out a bunch of money for a new phone :(

It doesn’t show me my wallpaper outside the customize options. Why?

Anyone have a different set up of how they view their folders? I created a shortcut list to the same apps but thought I would see what everyone is doing it there.

More info: I have folders like this on my Home Screen and it would be slicker if when you clicked into the folder it showed a list to select rather than multiple pages of apps. I have the shortcut to list but it’s kind of generic with the text selections rather than the app icons. Does anyone do it differently that would like to share?

Hi there, I‘m in a it of a pickle with my iPhone 12 Pro.
I recently got into some pretty heavy rain without rainproof clothing. My front camera took the damage. Ever since I cannot use FaceID, but cannot turn off FaceID either, because Stolen Device protection is activated.

Unfortunately, I have activated FaceID for several important apps, banking, AppStore, hidden apps etc.

Apple recommended I reset my phone using my MacBook Air, but when I do so, after downloading the update, it just shows the progress circle thing for the cursor for some minutes and then says there was an error.

So: Can I erase my iPhone using FindMy and then restore it from a backup? Are there any drawbacks to this solution? Will I need FaceID for something? Please advise, I’m grateful for any hints!

sorry if this is the wrong subreddit but i got an iphone 14 off ebay back in may and everythings been fine since then until ab a week ago when my power button stopped working. i thought it was fully broken and i should just get it fixed but sometimes it will randomly work again for 5 minutes?? also yes i took off the case and checked around for debris and its all fine. idk im so confused if anyone knows whats going on i'd love to know... obviously im concerned about me having gotten it off ebay but everythings been completely normal for about 6 months so idk...

On my iPhone 13 Pro, the macro lens doesn’t work. I have macro control set on and I recently tried cleaning the lens using a q tip and alcohol wipe but it won’t activate when I bring the camera close to an object

I use the iPod dock connector over USB in a Honda. It trickle charges at 5w. How can I force it to use the 25w wireless car charger I have it mounted to?

I’ve been having issues where I’ll take a screenshot and try to send as an iMessage from that screen, or sending a link directly from the page to a person, and it shows sent in the pop up screen of iMessage but won’t show in the message thread. Usually the message sends hours later and will appear in the iMessage thread. Anyone know what the issue is or how to fix this?

I deleted 4 GB of photos (yes, I deleted it from recently deleted) and my photos storage went down by 4 GB but my system storage immediately went up by 4 GB. So overall I was not able to clear any storage.

How do I actually clear storage by deleting photos??
