For reference, the new mod has a LONG history of taking over womens' spaces and shilling his business. His first "official post" as a moderator was to ban discussion of sexism, which is a very relevant topic when it comes to healthcare as women face multiple layers of hostility and sexism in trying to get care. Conveniently, when this rule was criticized, he then deleted that post as well.

Several people have caught bans (we are discussing this elsewhere) for pointing out his authoritative and dismissive tone towards anyone and everyone with concerns, ranging from a simple "why was no one involved in this decision" to "why is a cis man telling us how to manage our emotions" (in his first action, he told us to go outside).

I can't even provide much in the way of proof of what's happening because he is deleting everything he doesn't like. Even posts talking about moderator code of conduct have been deleted, he's hidden himself from the moderator list (which is now just him) so that people can't report him directly.

People with no history of offenses are getting temporary and permanent bans despite the fact that those are lower on the tier and require more offenses to be the given moderator action, so he is breaking his own rules.

On a personal note I haven't seen any slurs or anything of that nature thrown his way, mostly just questioning why a man is in charge of a female space, why no one was asked about this, why specifically he is against the discussion of sexism in healthcare.

Truly one of the best stories ever told in anime/manga/LN. The writing gives breathing space for the characters to exist in the setting that was created, in a very organic way. Everything that is happening feels as natural progression of the world. Only One Piece for me has its world progress in a similar manner. Many anime fans are unfortunately immature and cannot accept the fact that you don't have to project yourself to the cast of any show. In metal and punk subculture a "battle jacket" is the name for a jacket or vest that is adorned with patches. Patches generally are band logos, sigils, symbols, or album covers. r/baddlejackets is a snark sub that makes fun of jackets that they view as "poser" or outside the music scene. Many of the posts are DIY jackets from left wing sources, often LGBTQ or trans focused. The sub is regarded as having a rightwing slant to it as they do not ostracize vests with Nazi/conservative bands on them.

This is for a leading clinic in the US: There's two main different procedures to do it. FUE is (follicular unit extraction) where they basically use a special tiny pickle picker to take individual follicles from a doner are (typically the back of your head) and plant them on top/in front. Second is FUT (follicular unit transplantation) where they take a strip of follicles with skin, cut them up into individual FUs and put them in the new area. Sounds like FUE is preferred cause FUT leaves scars on the back of your head. FUE is $7 per follicular unit. FUT is $6 per FU. Normal person hair has 80+ FU/cm² (that's what he said, I look it up later and I see 100-200 FU/cm²). But he said people can't tell the difference until it goes below 40FU/cm², so they typically just go up to that density. I'd just need my peaks covered and some for blending, and he thought it be at least 40cm². 40cm² × 40FU/cm2 = 1600 FU. × $7/FU = $11,200 minimum. I'm on finasteride and minoxidil pills and we'll see how my hair looks in a year. I don't know if I want to spend that much but body dysmorphia is a bitch so we'll see.

It’s literally not. Wanting something different or wanting to “improve” does not have to mean you are not happy with what you have. I’ve been in therapy for body dysmorphia, and one of the things I’ve been working on with my therapist is the idea that I can be happy with my body and still want to improve it; they don’t have to be at odds with each other. Baldness can be the same way; it doesn’t have to be, but it can be.

I think it's far more mentally healthy for men to simply come to terms with their body than to spend thousands and thousands of dollars put up a facade and pretend to themselves and everyone. We've lost all sense of what is or isn't a true 'need'.

I think makeup is similar to wearing clothes. Your skin doesn't naturally create colorful cotton, so to some extent you are presenting a false version of your natural body. I think it's both important that people aren't made to feel bad for not fitting arbitrary beauty standards AND they should be able to do whatever they like with their appearance as a form of expression or just because.
