I have a LOT of anxiety, and I'm in the process of coming out of a serious bout of depression. I used to get it like that when I was in my late teens and early twenties, and then my depression died down until the beginning of last year.

It just kicked my ass, and it contributed to the break up of my marriage. Now I'm working hard on me and trying to get to a place where I can adult like a responsible human again.

I guess I'm just looking for some validation and sense of community here. So many of us Gen Xers have done amazing things while some of us have struggled and fought our way through as best we could. So holla if you know what's it's like to barely be able to keep your head above water. I know I'm not alone.

I’ve been revisiting the early episodes of The Beverly Hillbillies, and one thing keeps making me laugh.
The Clampetts suddenly have millions, a Beverly Hills mansion, and everything money can buy.
But Granny acts like she’s been sentenced to prison!
I grew up watching these classic sitcoms, and revisiting them now has given me a whole new appreciation for the writing and the characters.
I’ve been exploring the series for my classic television channel, Silver Gay Chap.

“Sunday Scaries” was recently added to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, a term for dreading the upcoming work/school week.

On the news they’re talking about it as if it’s a new thing. Between school and work. I’ve experienced Sunday evening dread for much of my life. It’s a lousy feeling to know your weekend is gone and another five days of toil awaits you.

One of the reasons I’m very much looking forward to retirement (whenever that happens)…
