It’s so fucking funny that people are surprised that subcultures gatekeep. The only thing that makes a subculture a subculture is gatekeeping. You don’t belong to a subculture just because you want to. You have to be acceptable to be accepted. If you want to change things, you don’t believe in the thing, and you are not a part of the thing. You have your own thing. Stop trying to make it my thing, it’s your thing.
Absolutely. The idea there's some kind of officially approved way to wear a jacket with all your favourite things stuck onto it is ludicrous. Battle jackets are sad whatever form they take, that's part of the fun
