anyone noticed devices showing unavailable in ST but working fine with other systems? it's always temperature probes that are going offline in ST and now air quality monitors are dropping too.

at first i thought it was ikea devices that were the issue but I've got no such issues with home assistant and had none with dirigera.

4 tbr (ikea dirigera, google streamer, samsung tv with a dongle, otbr plugged into raspberry pi), 20ish reed (plugs lights etc)

ran ikeas Home Smart first, no issues

added Smart Things, same devices offline in ST, fine in HS

removed dirigera, same issues, dirigera back

added google streamer as tbr, still offline in ST

added Home Assistant, all the devices are now in HS, ST, HA, offline in ST

restart device, shows online in ST for a while but eventually (between few hours and few days) will go offline, stays online in HS HA.

any ideas? i'm assuming it's related to poor tbr in samsung tv but wondering if anyone has a better idea

I currently have Z-Wave Bali Motorized shades, and none of them have been working for the past few days. I also notice when I try to add new devices I get the following error: “SmartThings Hub can search for devices that support Zigbee, but it's having some issue with using Z-Wave right now.”

1.) I rebooted my smart things hub twice (left it unplugged for over 30 minutes).
2.) I unplugged and replugged all my Z-Wave shades
3.) I attempted to “Refresh Z-Wave network” with no success. It was stuck on this screen for 4+ hours.

Any ideas? Much appreciated.

Like title says, I have two garage doors and each one is connected to MyQ smart garage door opener hub.

We have two cars but my wife and I often travel together in one car. So when we arrive home, it could be car A or car B.

We want to automate which garage door opens (A or B) when car A or B arrives.

Since we often travel together, geofencing won't work based on which phone is in which car since both phones are likely in the car that's arriving.

So what's the best way to achieve this? Any ideas? TIA.

Hey all, my Zigbee devices have been intermittently going online and offline over the past few weeks, presumably because of the update. I did a power cycle of my hub and then each separate device and that seems to have mixed results. At times, all of them will go online again and some, or none, of them will. I’ve also tried removing the device and pairing it with my hub again with mixed results. Most of my Zigbee devices are SmartThings motion sensors and multipurpose door/window sensors as well as ThirdReality multipurpose door/window sensors. The SmartThings sensors seem to be doing better now, but I’m having difficulty with the ThirdReality sensors. Any ideas on what to do here? I haven’t looked into changing the Zigbee channel on my hub yet since I’m not too sure on what that exactly entails. Any guidance would be really appreciated!

Until very recently, a good way to upload your own photos to the FrameTV via the art mode tab of the SmartThings app was via this button, in the lower-right corner of the app.

However, recently the iOS SmartThings app seems to have updated, and that button is no longer present. The second uploaded picture is a screenshot of that part of the screen on my iPhone. The little picture icon with a + sign on it seems to have gone.

Does this mean that this "Upload a photo" functionality has been removed? I hope not!

My washer and dryer have been setup for years on the app; suddenly today they show disconnected so I reconnect them and now it says "The selected network isv't connected to the internet". But yes, it is, I have many other devices using it. Nothing has changed that I am aware of - haven't added any new devices, done any firmware updates, etc. Tried unplugging them for a minute but that did not resolve the issue. Was getting notifications from SmartThings up to 18 minutes ago (per notifications showing on my phone). The only reason I looked into it was because my mother-in-law mentioned she was not getting notifications.

Anyone else having this issue?

First, thanks for the work on this! I have a few issues if you're still monitoring this thread. Would certainly like to get an update if possible.

First, when entering the Key, it won't let me enter one that has a diacritic in it, such as "p:s3NVqZ6p_E0np`". Note the last character is like a reverse apostrophe but I can't enter it and save. This is critical and the only way I can think to resolve it is keep deleting/adding the device until the key is acceptable.

Second, after updating the fields for the first device it worked for on/off control. That said, it had a bunch of fields for fan control and such but this is a simple outlet, just on/off control.

Third, when I ran a nearby scan again it never found/added a second instance so I was only able to use this for a single device so far. Any thoughts?

Is anyone else having issues with Samsung SmartThings after the latest update?

I have a Samsung Bespoke electric range and a compatible Samsung over-the-range microwave. Until recently, they worked perfectly together using Auto Connectivity, where turning on the stove would automatically activate the microwave’s ventilation fan.

Now, after the recent SmartThings update, the feature has stopped working.

This setup worked perfectly fine before the update. I haven’t changed either appliance or its configuration.

I’m having trouble getting a second Aqara FP300 sensor to show up in SmartThings.
My setup:
Samsung SmartThings ecosystem, with my Samsung S95F acting as a SmartThings hub
Multiple Aqara hubs, including an Aqara M2 and an Aqara M1
Both Aqara hubs are visible in SmartThings
The issue:
My FP300 connected to the Aqara M2 in the living room works perfectly in SmartThings.
However, I recently added another FP300 to an Aqara M1 hub. The sensor works in the Aqara ecosystem, but it doesn’t appear in SmartThings, even though the M1 hub itself is visible there.
I can’t remember whether I added the M2 to SmartThings before or after pairing the FP300 with it. So I’m wondering whether the order in which the hub and sensor are added makes a difference.
My questions:
Should FP300 sensors paired with an Aqara hub automatically appear in SmartThings?
Is there a difference between the Aqara M1 and M2 when exposing connected devices to SmartThings?
Could the pairing or integration order explain why the FP300 connected to the M2 works, while the one connected to the M1 doesn’t?
Would removing and reconnecting the M1 integration help, or could that cause issues with my existing setup?
I’d prefer to keep using Zigbee rather than Matter if possible.
Has anyone experienced something similar or managed to get this exact setup working?

Hi folks , I'm not getting any data showing my cats whereabouts, she is on move as she goes out of range. I just get the 1 time stamp a day at various times.

I had the SmartThings app set up on my pixel 8 via GitHib and that worked perfect fine, I've just recently got a Samsung S26 and this issue has started.

Since the latest update, I’ve had connection issues on devices. Not working, showing offline. The first update I had was on iOS, when this hay, however my Android app still worked fine as it hadn’t been updated. Now it has been, and both have issues connecting to some devices. Anyone else had problems?

I uploaded what I thought were two pics to my Family Hub last night. Today, I wanted to see what they looked like on the fridge. To my surprise, the new pics weren't there, but there were four "To-Do Lists" that had appeared. Thinking these were created in error, I deleted all four. I also noticed a "Shared albums" tab I had never seen before, so I clicked on that. Then, when I went back to the Gallery, all of my pics were gone! WTF? I tried rebooting the screen, but that didn't change anything. Some of those pictures had been on my fridge for 7+ years! To see if the entire Gallery had failed, I tried uploading the two pics again, from the night before. Although I very clearly had sent two pics to the Family Hub, only one showed up. So, I tried it again with two other pics - same thing happened, only one showed up. Long story short. Family Hub f*cking deleted ALL of my pics, and for some reason it will only accept one picture upload at a time now. Again, WTF?!?

Don't software teams test their code anymore, before releasing it? I have been encountering this more and more these days. Too often, the upgrade is worse than the existing version. And, I'm not just talking about design, I mean functionally - the new version is riddled with bugs. We had stricter standards 25+ yrs ago when we were first building out the internet. What the hell is going on?
