Need Advice Geofence home and away modes

seems like a workaround with smart things for simple home (notifications.off) and away (notifications on)but how to I configure it to turn on notifications at sunset and back off at sunrise ONLY if I'm home.

The ability to do this through a dedicated flow/automation is coming! The team is actively working on this feature/project, and I believe I remember it as a specific addition, but it is still being developed. Currently, Home/Away Modes is completely separate from Smart Actions (which is where the geofencing features exist).

I would highly recommend taking a look around the subreddit as there have been a few solution/ workarounds offered up by the community - whether it be within the Tapo App, using SmartThings or Even Google's Presence Detection. Unfortunately, until the modes get added as a Smart Action - you will be limited to the controls that are available in Smart Actions for your devices.
