It's my understanding that Nick Shirley did not conduct an independent, ground-up investigation.
He uncovered no fraud through his independent journalism. He was given a list of pre-flagged addresses from legislative spreadsheets and public records, drove to the buildings, and shot his footage.
Long before the video was filmed, Minnesota regulators, legislative fraud committees, and the DOJ were investigating and prosecuting massive subsidy fraud networks in the state (including the multi-hundred-million-dollar Feeding Our Future case). Multiple facilities featured in the video were already flagged on state legislative spreadsheets as "suspect" or "apparently vacant" months prior.
Timeline:
What he also doesn't do is mention the fraud that happened in Mississippi (welfare scandal $77M+) or the Florida COVID-19 Health and PPP fraud, or the Texas and Oklahoma Emergency Grant fraud and exploitation. Fraudsters do not target states based on party affiliation; they target vulnerable administrative pipelines wherever they exist.

They're always talking about liberal tears and crying.

Trump is buying oil from Russia because he's desperate to lower gas prices. Trump was supposed to end the Ukraine war, but he started another war in Iran and he's funding Russia's war now.

What needs to happen to ensure that people can speak their minds around these demonstrations without fearing for their physical safety?

They would probably put a lot of guys to sleep. To be at a pro level is a very elite standard. The speed and skills are different level. They would probably break an average man’s teeth and smash their face in. I don’t think I would fancy taking either of them on. A lot of guys seem to think they are bad or weak etc easy to say it online but I don’t think many would get into the ring with either of them. Or if they offered you outside for a punch up.

I'm pretty much attached to my phone all the time. I'm trying to quit but I get jittery and am extremely bored if I'm not on reddit or scrolling on something. It's so bad I even scroll while I'm showering. I'm also gen z so smartphones have pretty much been part of my life for as long as I can remember(except maybe in the 2000s when I was still a little child). I know people had magazines but I feel like I would get bored of reading something as finite as a magazine quite fast. Did people just stare into space and do nothing back then lol?

In this hypothetical scenario, your net worth is capped at 10 million and any extra money you earn is taken by the government to fund public services and infrastructure.
Would you support this policy? Why or why not?
r/askanything • u/TankUMrMinor • 14h ago
The one thing people cite over and over is their stance on covid era policies. But most businesses and capitalists and other parts of the establishment were against most of those policies, because they wanted more business, and fewer (or zero) lockdowns. So that argument made no sense.

I’ve been hearing it all over various social media platforms “Young men are pulling out of the dating market”, “Young adult relationships are at an all time low”. I’m curious to hear your thoughts.
Me personally 20 yo single male I feel like it’s just not worth my time. I am fine with being alone but at the same time I wouldn’t mind to have a relationship I’m just not actively searching for a relationship. I feel like being single gives me more freedom to go out with the boys, work as much as I want, go out on the weekends with nobody stopping me, and with a partner it’s feels like they limit you. Also as a blue collar worker it seems like women target men with nice trucks, boats, SxS, and everything just because they know that man has money. I don’t know if I worded it right but I feel like relationships aren’t what they used to be.

This is a dumb question sorry, but I’ve seen a lot of hate towards Jews and Israelis online, and people claiming that Jews control the world. I’m genuinely confused and like what does that even mean

For context, I am 15, agnostic, and my mum is aware. My mother is jewish, and is also a single parent. I live a 50/50 split between my mum and my dad.
We have friday night dinner as a family every friday. I have attended this every single week for my whole life. I have never missed one.
I told my mother that I am agnostic around a month ago.
My friend group invites me along to gigs, hangouts, sleepovers, etc. My mum is strict so I normally do not tell her that they are gigs, and if it is a sleepover I do not even bother asking.
There have been two times now in the past month where I have asked to meet up with my friends, and she has said no.
When asking why, she said that it was a religious day– late on a friday. I told her that I am no longer religious. I do not enjoy sitting there for the dinner doing prayers for 40 minutes. I have been not enjoying that.
She said that because this is a Jewish family, I must attend them. 'We do these dinners as a family, and you are part of it'.
I tell her that I feel that she is forcing her religion onto me. She says that she is sorry I feel this way.
I struggle socially. A lot. I haven't been in a proper friend group for over 8 years.
My dad may let me go and hang out with my friends, so if all else fails I may go to his house for a while. (Though I am scared if I do this my mother will not let me back into her home).
Whenever I leave the house she acts very negatively, complaining, etc. She is naturally very angry. I would say strict but it is reasonable.
Would this count as forcing religion onto me? Please help. I'd like to go out with my friends not often. It upsets me when I miss out on their hangouts.
Also please use tonetags if necessary, I am autistic.

If your poop is either a grunter, to liquid, or just generally difficult, do you strip naked while you do it?

We didn't listen to people who didn't want cars.
We didn't listen to people that wanted us to keep using mechanical writing machines.
We didn't listen to people who wanted to use animals instead of tractors.
We didn't listen to people who feared entering space would be punished by god.
We didn't listen to people who didn't like social media as a platform for exchanging opinions and obviously everyone seeing this post here also didn't listen to that.
Humanity basically never saw a technology that would change everything fundamentally and then decided to not use it. If you banned ai right now people would create offline ai systems that run perfectly on a bunch of GPUs in no time (we already have ones that work well). If a country banned ai as a whole it would immediately have a disadvantage vs countries who keep using it.
And the military especially will never stop using something that is effective. The second a war starts suddenly they have chemical weapons again. They will use AI because every advantage another country has must be replicated to improve the chances of your country surviving in the modern world.
You can hate ai, protest against it or throw every computer you own out of your window but nothing will change.
Yeah and also people wanted to restrict photo editing platforms because as we all know just like with ai people created and STILL create weird photos and videos with it. Deep fakes existed long before ai. Nothing changed as always.
