So this evil bitch is hanging around a tenant here at my rented home. She leaves her dog everywhere.3 days ago a guy drops her dog off and ties him to a post on the porch.I felt sorry for the dog so I fed and watered him.Around 4 pm.She shows up her and the guy who lives in another room here at around 10 pm.I go outside to let her know someone dropped her dog off.The bitch cusses me and says I know I know my God damn dogs on the porch. Her and the guy are doing fentenyl. She leaves the dog there all night while she gets high.Dog jumps off the porch during the night hangs hisself. She raises hell screaming the next morning saying she's gonna kill the guy who dropped him off.She has left the dog there off the porch and I just happen to come home today and I smell a rotting dog carcass. So when the bitch pulled up today.I said you need to do something with the damn dog it's fucking rottening.Like WTF.Who leaves their dog to rot. Then the bitch has the nerve to start threatening me.Anyway the dog is still put there.Comments on my next move and should she be put in jail or what.

Discussion Somebody using my photos on Grindr for at least 6 months...

Post image

Back in April I recieved the first message, somebody showing me screenshots of someone using my photos on a profile named 'Sean' (not my name). I messaged them asking which town but they never replied.

Appreciated the message, but we're quite unhelpful ultimately.

Then today I've recieved this second message, from a Facebook friend. I assume it's the same person because it's called Sean (I'm 34, but apparently I'm a 19 year old vers twink 💁🏻) - and this person told me which town it was in (my neighbouring town) and reported the profile for me.

So infuriating considering I'm getting married next year, and I wonder how many people I know have seen the account and think I'm screwing around on the DL 😡

It's clearly someone from my Facebook (which I barely use anymore), since that's the only place they could've found some of these photos.

Disturbing content Who decides it's OK to turn off power to an entire hospital without warning the nursing staff?

I'm in the hospital after major surgery. My mother was with me when this happened. At around 9 PM my room went completely dark, not even emergency lights came on. My mom stuck her head out the door and confirmed the entire hospital was dark, not just our room, and every nurse she could see was in a full sprint, carrying an oxygen tank. They all appeared to be going to different locations. I stayed put and power came back roughly 8 minutes later. Once things were calm (no more running nurses) I went for a walk. I talked to the nurses and found out there was work being done on the electrical system. Planned work. I suspected and got confirmation that they'd been working all day. Did anyone tell them this would be happening and give them a chance to prepare? NO. I'm so mad FOR them. I'm very fortunate to not be actively dependent on machines keeping me alive, but not everyone here can say that. It's a hospital for crying out loud!!

Discussion Just got crashed out on and blocked by two autistic guys I was trying to be friends with (long vent, names changed)

• Upvotes

I need to get this off my chest because what just happened is still pissing me off.
I first met Gabriel about a year ago while I was moderating a DCEU group that was getting overrun by trolls. One day I tried giving him simple advice about not typing massive walls of text and he completely crashed out on me, left the group, but didn’t block me.
Fast forward a year. He reaches out and asks if I want to join his DC group (most of the mods are deaf) and be a mod. I was hesitant because I already knew he has a history of crashing out the second he hears something he doesn’t like, making bipolar decisions, and being unpredictable. Still, I said okay. I told him straight up I was busy during the day and couldn’t be active 24/7. He said he understood.
I also met David through the group. At first he seemed nice and we talked a bit. Then he started avoiding me.
A few weeks later Gabriel hits me with “you’re not being active enough.” I literally forgot I was even in the group half the time. It was a small group with almost nothing happening, so I didn’t realize I was expected to be glued to it. I talked to both of them trying to compromise and figure out how to manage my time better. Out of nowhere David starts getting passive-aggressive: “what’s the point of you being here if you’re not doing anything?” I didn’t clap back because I was worried it would make him more upset. I just said I’d try harder to like and comment more.
I kept telling David I actually liked talking to him and thought he was a nice person. He kept ignoring my messages and stayed passive-aggressive. I also tried explaining to Gabriel that I just wanted to make sure I wouldn’t get yelled at again. His response was basically “if you’re always this worried and paranoid then maybe the group isn’t a good fit.” I clarified I wasn’t being paranoid, I was just trying to communicate clearly so things wouldn’t blow up. He never replied to that part (classic Gabriel). Later that night he said he’d give me another chance and we called it a night.
Next day out of nowhere he and David decided to unmod me. I was still willing to like, comment, and post, but at that point I didn’t want to argue so I just said okay. We switched to a personal group chat.
The conversation was fine until I suggested a group call. For context: I also have autism and typing is hard for me, especially when people are firing off multiple long paragraphs at high speed. Talking is way easier for me to actually express myself. They agreed to the call… until I asked if we could do it right then. Instead of just saying “we can’t right now, we’re relaxing,” Gabriel went off about how I was interrupting their free time, preventing them from relaxing, and being rude.
I kept repeating that they didn’t have to call if they didn’t want to and that I wasn’t forcing anyone. He wouldn’t let it go and kept ignoring what I was actually saying. They also started talking about how I had to “earn” the right to hang out with them, which is ridiculous. I just wanted to be friends. I had a call with Gabriel a year ago that went fine. People change, sure, but they could’ve just said “we’re chilling, not in the mood to call” and left it there.
Instead Gabriel went from “not wanting to call” to “I don’t want to be your friend anymore” and kicking me in the span of minutes. I apologized multiple times until I was exhausted and just done. I typed something like “ok I won’t message anymore end transmission” (I use “end transmission” because simple, short messages seem to land better with them). A few minutes later he accused me of being rude again for saying I didn’t want to message anymore, called it “bad behaviour,” and blocked me.
I’m honestly glad he blocked me. I don’t have to deal with that unhinged energy anymore. Both of them make completely unpredictable decisions in 1–2 minutes and then act like you’re the problem for reacting. It’s a shame because I actually liked talking to David, but if he didn’t want to talk he could’ve just said so instead of the passive-aggressive avoidance.
Moral of the story: never try to be friends with autistic deaf people online. Some of them are just too unstable and exhausting.

Discussion The inconsistency of online censorship is mildly infuriating

At this point, I don't even care anymore. It'll probably only get worse. You can discuss horrific violence online, but sometimes a harmless comment gets flagged for using the wrong word. You can watch people mock and insult someone endlessly, but a perfectly civil disagreement gets removed. You can discuss disturbing crimes, yet mentioning suicide in an educational or personal context can trigger restrictions.

Sometimes the exact same comment is acceptable in one community and forbidden in another. I understand why moderation exists. Threats, harassment, and genuine hate deserve consequences. But when the rules feel inconsistent, people stop knowing what's actually acceptable.

I don't expect unlimited free speech on private platforms. I'd just appreciate rules that are clear and applied consistently. Anyway, I've carefully read the rules before posting this. Hopefully discussing infuriating things is still allowed. Love you all!

Evidence Bed Bugs in our Airbnb

My wife and I decided to stay in Rosarito from Thursday to Sunday to celebrate her birthday. We rented an Airbnb close to the beach, and everything started off great. The place had great reviews, and the host was extremely nice.

The first night, I got a few bites but brushed them off as mosquito bites. By Friday night, I noticed more bites around the same area, but I still figured they were from mosquitoes since we’d been out and about all day. This morning, I woke up with even more bites and noticed a pattern that made me suspect bed bugs or fleas.

After lunch, I couldn’t stand the itching anymore, so I bought some anti-itch cream on my way back. Once I got home, I started searching. I spent about 20 minutes checking my side of the bed but couldn’t find anything. Then I checked the headboard, and voilà—I found my first bug. The more I looked, the more I found. Most appeared to be dead or squished, but after a few minutes, I found a live one.

I contacted the host immediately. He offered us either a downstairs unit with a full refund or just a refund if we wanted to leave. We chose to leave and booked a hotel in downtown Tijuana. It turns out he had fumigated the place in July for bed bugs and spiders but hadn’t checked whether the treatment was successful.

We ended up using the refund money on a nice dinner and a fancy hotel for our last day.

Discussion Public toilette

I wonder why 95% of public restrooms are so disgusting. Is it really that hard to be civilized and show some respect for others? I’m talking about women’s restrooms.

I’m lucky enough to be able to hold it in for ages, so I almost always avoid using them. Yesterday, I was driving back from a wedding that was a three-hour drive away, and after holding it in since 5 a.m. (it was 11 p.m. by then), and having drunk quite a bit, I just couldn’t take it anymore. We stopped at a highway rest stop, but I only had to put one foot inside the restroom before deciding to leave without going, and wait to reach home.

Just needed to vent a little.

Discussion TLDR: Safelite (belron) is trash, shop local glass instead.

Post image

I worked for Safelite for a few years, we were provided the basic tools and training and the rest was "just picked up over time".

We were constantly changing pay scales, and after we were told that selling wipers was a core requirement to stay in our bonus pay range, I left. These are literally bottom of the barrel wipers rebranded with the logo. It was $75 for a pair at the time of me leaving. Who the hell has $75 on top of the 100-500 they just dropped to get a new windshield. With companies leaning towards the lane assist cameras, we were required to calibrate almost every car and most foreign brands require a very specific setup of boards (basically QR codes and set to a specific distance to teach the car where the lanes should be) Safelite would charge almost $500 for JUST the recalibration. I was passed over for several promotions even though I was one of the highest earners and had very few mistakes. All in all, the company is trash and leaning more towards making shareholders happy above actually delivering quality or care. Avoid them and use local if possible. My boss and his boss both left and started their own glass business that specializes in classic cars. If you're in Colorado, coach customs in berthoud. And when you call them, it's not an AI chat bot, it's usually one of the owners.
