Advice How do we feel about pet owners who can't afford expensive treatments?
I would just like to preface this by saying that this is not about my family or cat, i just see a lot of discussion about this topic, and i don't know what to make of it.
My area doesn't have a lot of street cats, as compared to other places, even within my state, but we do have a LOT of shelter cats, all the time. Like everything medical (in america, at least) things have gotten out of hand with pricing.
Do you guys think that pets are okay off with an owner that loves them and can feed them/tend to basic needs and afford preventative care (shots, spaying, flea/worm treatments etc), but will never be able to afford a vet bill above 1000 dollars?
If pet ownership was limited to the upper middle class and upper class, almost no one would adopt pets and shelters would be overflowing, but certain conditions will warrant an agonizing death if not treated, ie the blockages male cats get. If this animal was on the streets, it would be even worse off, i would think.
This is probably really stupid to ask, but I don't know what to think anymore.

Advice TV shows that your cat enjoys?
I would love suggestions other people have for shows their cats like. I know cats have a color palette body they can actually see. Thomas enjoys all the Game of thrones universe shows, LOTR universe, Sealook, Selling Sunset, and right now he’s really into watching Silo on Apple TV. He usually does not like animated stuff.
So all I can tell tell is he really likes fantasy and blue palette.

Cat Picture - OC Is there a limit to how long you can't get up because you have a cat on your lap?
Over 2 hours, then she looked like she was going to get up. Faked me out. Did she reset the timer by doing this?

Advice How do you make your cat/s feel less alone while gone?
Honestly my main question is does anyone leave the tv or music on while gone for the kitties to hear? I only have one & she has toys but when she typically is feeling lonely because the house is quiet she meows like crazy! I feel bad for leaving for work or even going to sleep because she’s so nocturnal. Just wondering what other folks do 🐱

Advice I adopted a cat
I decided to adopt a cat, and got everything ready for it. I saw an association on Facebook who do that, loôs good with some good reviews. Went there asked a lot of questions and asked to be sure that the cat is healthy.
Well, I go back home and noticed that he walks weirdly. Bring it to the vet. And that was the x-ray I got.
Well the vet told me that it's like 2000US dollars to fix it. And also they say the cat is more like 6months old and not three like they told me. I contacted the association because I am not able to spend that much. They got the cat back and now they are debating if they will do the operation because it's also a lot of money for them.
I'd love to keep that cat but I am not sure if I can trust them and there vet. I feel very bad to think that I shouldn't get it even if they do the operation. I feel like a bad person.
I don't really need advice but they are welcome. I just feel bad.

Advice Found this little one out in the rain and couldn't just walk away 🥹🐱
Earlier, I came across this little cat out in the rain. It was such a sad sight, and I couldn't bring myself to leave it there, so I decided to take it in and make sure it was safe.
Now I'm doing my best to keep it warm, fed, and comfortable. I'm still figuring out everything it needs, but I'm glad I could at least get it out of the rain.
It's amazing how such a small moment can make you feel responsible for another little life. ❤️
I'm hoping this little one gets a chance at a safer, happier life. If anyone has advice for caring for a rescued cat, especially when you're new to it, I'd genuinely appreciate it.
Here's to hoping for better days for this little survivor. 🐾❤️

Medical Questions Stray Cat Question
Hello, this sweet girl has been coming around my house the last few days. She’s very tiny and a kiddish but today she ate a whole bowl of friskies primavera. My question is this, is it safe to let her inside with my two other healthy cats? She looks like something is wrong with her. Her inner eyelids are a bit closed in both eyes. Both my cats don’t seem to mind her they don’t go up to her but they also aren’t hissing at her like they do with other stray cats. I would like to try to catch her but she doesn’t trust me enough yet. I just don’t want my other cats to get sick if I let her inside. Her ear is clipped so I know she is spayed and stray. I let her inside for a few today but other cats were in my room.

Advice Need help finding instructions for cat tree!
Hi guys, I recently won a cat tree in an auction. It was new from Amazon in the box but returned because it did not have instructions. It was a 110 dollar tree and I got it for 35. In this economy with 5 cat distribution system cats, that was worth the hassle.
Does anyone have the instructions? I have a picture of the tree.
It is model #HCT050G from Helbly (probably an overseas corporation).
Thanks for reading, let me know of you guys find anything while I continue to search and put it together!
