Question: Unanswered Driver wants me to cancel order?

Post image

Driver contacted me asking me to cancel my Wendy's order, I thought he was asking me to cancel it when he gets close to my place, but it turns out his English is really bad, he's trying to say the restaurant is closed. Not sure why he wants me to cancel it for him. He even called to ask me to, and said something about how his ubereats account was closed. What do I do here?

If you cancel it it doesn’t count against his stats. Also, I believe that if you cancel the order he still gets paid because you don’t get a refund. I am pretty sure that there is a clause in the terms of service that says if you cancel the offer you won’t he refunded.

If the customer cancels he will not get paid. They stopped giving out the base pay for closed restaurants or cancels.

But the customer should never cancel either because they will lose all their money.

Uber puts everyone in a bad situation when a restaurant is closed. No one wins except uber

8

u/Wide-Hunt-1833 Jul 06 '26

He could literally just call uber support (done there's multiple time works everytime just takes a min) tell them that the restaurant is closed they will help with their stats so they don't get messed up bc the restaurant is closed

9

u/catnippedCats Jul 06 '26

You will still get a cancelation mark even if you call support. Try it next time. I’ve done it before.

And calling support does not stop them from sending drivers out. I’ve seen it happen with my own eyes after I’ve had to cancel.

2

u/FreshLemonsauce Jul 06 '26

No you don't. I've called support to cancel 4 orders in the past two nights and none of them have counted against my cancellation rate.

3

u/CoryxkenshinFriend Jul 10 '26

Try doing uber for 4 months it won’t work

2

u/Equivalent-Loquat732 Jul 12 '26

Calling support cancelling indeed impacted my cancellation rate😂 no matter for what reason s. So I never call support to cancel. Just cancel at reason of someone picked it up

2

u/Wide-Hunt-1833 Jul 06 '26

Okay but literally what does that have to do canceling an order also, i told you i've done it multiple never got a cancelation mark maybe you're canceling way too much and not contacting support whenever I have to cancel I always call support

3

u/catnippedCats Jul 06 '26

I hardly cancel, but every time I need to and call in I still get a cancelation mark. I’m always under 5% so I don’t really care about the mark.

My point was it cancels it for the driver. It does not actually cancel the order for the customer

1

u/Cynical_Cyanide Jul 06 '26

So what're you supposed to do as a customer?

Once upon a time a driver messaged me to say the restaurant is closed and that I need to cancel, and I said no - as it wouldn't give me a refund (even the AI based support chat). So instead of doing the proper thing, he just unassigned himself.

It was about 3 hours of non-stop drivers taking the order and then unassigning themselves (instead of doing the proper thing) later that I think finally some sort of cancellation occurred - And now it would seem I've probably been dinged with a cancellation mark anyway?

5

u/catnippedCats Jul 06 '26

You’re supposed to just wait it out. That’s the only thing you can do.

A driver cannot cancel your order with uber they can only remove themselves from the delivery.

I always message the customer and let them know it’s closed and to not cancel so they get their money back. But to please message the next driver to let them know the restaurant is closed so they don’t waste their tine driving there

1

u/Cynical_Cyanide Jul 06 '26

But that's not true, even other drivers here are saying they can get in touch with Uber Support and inform them that the restaurant is closed.

In my case, it would seem like the first person who actually did that was some 3 hours into the cavalcade of those who simply removed themselves so that some other poor sap can spend the 5 minutes to do so.

You say to wait and continually message every driver that gets assigned (wowzers), but how does that fix the situation for anyone? Is the customer supposed to sit through a dozen drivers before ... What, exactly happens and causes the order to be cancelled? It's not ever going to be cancelled unless eventually one of the drivers gets in touch with support.

3

u/catnippedCats Jul 06 '26

It is true though. Even when you get in touch with support they will only pass it along to another driver. It cancels it for that driver only.

It is a stupid design. Uber is trying to get the customer to cancel so they can keep the money. It’s manipulative on their part.

If you wait it out (two hours) you will get your money back. It times out then

1

u/isthepastaready Jul 07 '26

I’ve had this happen as a customer where the store was out of an item and it kept switching drivers, by the 3rd driver I contacted support and they cancelled and I got my money back.

-2

u/Cynical_Cyanide Jul 06 '26

Do you have any evidence whatsoever for that two hour figure? Even just other people talking about it?

I distinctly remember it was over two hours in that one case, I even went to bed and checked the times on the messages in the morning.

On the other hand, I've had another case of the same thing happening, where it was maybe only 3-4 drivers later when the order was cancelled - Certainly not two hours. How did that one get cancelled then? (I tend to order late at night)

I just don't believe for a moment that Uber would intentionally create such an experience both for drivers and users. First, they still have to pay some amount to the drivers, so that doesn't make sense. Second, a driver tied up with this nonsense is a driver that isn't making them profit actually delivering food. Thirdly, the customer is going to be raging and most likely looking to use a competitor app, either because they want to get another order delivered ASAP, or because they're angry about having their money be wasted.

Why would Uber want that? No, far more likely that occasionally uber support don't properly mark it as closed, but if every driver got in contact with support to report a store closed, it'd surely be marked closed and any orders properly cancelled well within 2 hours.

3

u/catnippedCats Jul 06 '26

I’m not lying to you or trying to fool you. I mean what do I have to win? I’ve been delivering for 6 year, have almost 8,000 deliveries. I’ve been at this awhile and seen it all

2

u/catnippedCats Jul 06 '26

They do not pay the driver at all if the store is closed or stolen by someone else.

Your second case is that someone stole your food and uber kept sending drivers to pick it up. Sometimes the store will cancel if they’re frustrated enough with new drivers coming in. But they don’t like to because then they lose money

Why do they do this? There is nothing for them to lose. They don’t pay the drivers for their lost time and if the customer gets frustrated enough and cancels they keep their money.

Two hours is the typical latest arrival time. If you don’t get it by the that time uber will give a refund. If you cancel before that they will not.

2

u/_Aliceinwonderland3 Jul 07 '26

Just because you don’t believe it doesn’t mean what they’re saying isn’t true.

The customer needs to contact uber ALONG with the driver. The driver CANNOT cancel your order, only unassign themselves.

You do realize in this situation we don’t get paid the time we drove out and now have to drive back to get something else that actually will pay. We don’t get paid to sit on the phone with support and sort YOUR order out for you because something was wrong that had nothing to do with us. There’s an option for us that says “store closed” then it asks us for pictures, and asked us to cancel. Know what that does???? UNASSIGNS, AND SENDS IT OUT TO SOMEONE ELSE. People were probably just pressing that thinking they did what they were supposed to. Uber sucks. Same with when orders are stolen. There’s also an “already picked up” option and it asks you to cancel, and then guess what?! It does the same thing. Send someone else out to waste their time.

The customer has to contact support asap well. Calling gets the best outcome. The first thing I do is tell the customer they need to contact support asap as I am doing the same. I tell support store closed can’t deliver please do not send someone out after me to waste their time too and the customer says hey store is closed it can’t be delivered can I be refunded or credited or whatever but THE CUSTOMER has to work that out with them. They’re not seeking you out to help you and give you your money back. You think too highly of Uber. They do not care about their customers nor their drivers. It’ll time out eventually otherwise, though I don’t know what the parameters are for it and if it’s the same for every restaurant.

It’s not a quick call. I’ve called them and told them over and over not to just cancel me and send someone else out, the store is closed and they need to contact the customer. Support still unassigned me and reassigned to someone else. I know because I was still talking to support and they told me after I kept asking if they canceled the order! They said no, it went out to someone else and then the customer canceled. Dumb as rocks those people. That was 30 minutes of my time -for free. You aren’t entitled to uber drivers doing that. That’s not part of our job that’s why there’s those options that may not help the customer at all, but unassigns us because those aren’t our problems to deal with and we don’t get paid to. They’re actually your problems to call support about.

1

u/isthepastaready Jul 07 '26

Uber doesn’t care, they have made so much money. I thought exactly like you until I started driving for them part time. Ubers base pay is shite. It’s horrible, they don’t actually care about either of us. They take money from both sides.

They don’t care get how enraged you get(both customer or driver), they’ve got their money, they don’t care, truly.

1

u/Marie52281 Jul 10 '26

This happened to me all the time and I never have a hard time calling and talking to a live person to let them know that the place is closed but it’s true. They don’t do what they’re supposed to on their end.

1

u/isthepastaready Jul 07 '26

I don’t think this is true, I’ve done the same and when I speak with an agent over live chat, I’ve explicitly asked if it would count against me and they told me no. I’ve never seen it count against me once.

5

u/Skeebop Jul 07 '26

Well im in the camp where it has counted against me multiple times as well, and i was even assured that it would not. Still did. Lame.

2

u/FloridaFlipper Jul 07 '26

I explicitly ask they say no and it hits my cancellation rate.

1

u/Marie52281 Jul 10 '26

Yes, they do always tell you that but I keep a record of every order that I take so I know exactly when my orders are going to make cancellations are gonna fall off so I know that they do hold it against you. That’s one of the reasons why they’re in trouble.

-2

u/Wide-Hunt-1833 Jul 06 '26

Also genuinely not hard to see what restaurants open and close, before I start I look at the hours see if anything's closing early or if they're staying open late. i'm sorry you're not thinking before you go on a delivery lmaoo

2

u/catnippedCats Jul 06 '26

Dude, this is not actually an issue for me. Like I said I’m always under 5% because I’m diamond and know my area. But it does happen occasionally and is a bigger deal for other drivers

-4

u/Wide-Hunt-1833 Jul 06 '26

How about you read that middle a part where it says, I look up if a restaurant is open. You know, it wouldn't be a big deal to anybody If you guys just did that and okay cool it doesn't affect you but this is thread talking about it lmaoo

4

u/Novel_Funny6282 Jul 06 '26 edited Jul 06 '26

Did you know that sometimes shit just happens and stores have to close when they aren't usually closed? Gasp! What a crazy concept, right? Equipment, server, or power failure? No such thing! But seriously, stop acting like every situation is always avoidable. Your ignorance is showing hard.

-1

u/Wide-Hunt-1833 Jul 06 '26

Oh shocker :0 as if that's why i said I sometimes had to sometimes deal with this what a shocker :O somebody can't a read on reddit :○

2

u/Stfrieza Jul 07 '26

No. Just take the L.

1

u/Novel_Funny6282 Jul 08 '26 edited Jul 08 '26

Nice try, but not a single one of your comments in this thread said "I sometimes have to sometimes deal with it" I'm sorry, but I can't read shit you make up in your head. Nor do I read every single thread before commenting. Learn to read and write and then get back to me.

This clusterfuck of poor writing is the closest thing to what you said. Maybe learn to spell and use words correctly before you accuse people of not reading your stroke writing.

-1

u/Wide-Hunt-1833 Jul 06 '26

You being slow is showing

1

u/AssociationDry73 Jul 08 '26

I’ve gotten half when the customer canceled

1

u/catnippedCats Jul 08 '26

On DoorDash.

Uber does not compensate when the customer cancels

1

u/AssociationDry73 Jul 10 '26

O ya I might be thinking of doordasg

0

u/AlternativePainter27 Jul 06 '26

Thats not true The customer will get a full refund

3

u/catnippedCats Jul 06 '26

It is true. Take a look around this sub. So many people with the same story

2

u/Asiaticson_ Jul 06 '26

She probably won’t be refunded but he’ll only get like $2 or probably nothing.

1

u/AlternativePainter27 Jul 06 '26

We dont get paid, but its easier for the driver to get another replacement order

1

u/Marie52281 Jul 10 '26

Unfortunately, it does. It’s still I always call customer service and have them cancel it on their end and even then it’s still counts against me unfortunately.

I’ve always called the customer to let them know it’s closed about 66% of the time they’ll cancel the order and I let them know I can’t cancel it for them.

14

u/henrickaye Jul 06 '26

First, you absolutely can cancel it on your end. It just involves contacting support which might be annoying. Second, I think a lot of drivers want customers to do it so it doesn't affect their completion rating, for better or for worse.

12

u/catnippedCats Jul 06 '26

The driver can cancel, but uber will still keep sending drivers to the store for a couple hours even if you contact support

-5

u/Asiaticson_ Jul 06 '26

I say the same thing you do under the same comment and I’m still negative 🤣🤣. But hopefully yours is clearer

0

u/Asiaticson_ Jul 06 '26

If that’s the case I can cancel on my end no probables without support. What I’m saying is a matter of letting the customer know that no one can complete their order and no one can cancel their order for them.

4

u/henrickaye Jul 06 '26

But you... can cancel it for them...

I’m trying to tell them that if we cancel it it’s not “for them” it’s just us moving on.

2

u/miiz_murrderr Jul 06 '26

NO YOU CAN'T. You can cancel trying to pick it up and deliver it to them but the order will go to another driver who will go to the restaurant and see it's closed and have to cancel too and this will continue to happen until the customer cancels the order themselves or the timer runs down for however many hours and Uber cancels it for them and gives them a refund. Drivers can't cancel your order and have it be refunded for you.

2

u/Prudent_Trifle8940 Jul 06 '26

You really cant , someone needs to call uber support , since uber doesn’t pay $3 assistance fee ( time and mile you drove , it is shit but something they were paying before ) now they dont even pay that generally I reply to customer “ store is closed , you will not get your order please call uber support for refund , dont cancel on the app since you would get charge “ than I push the order closed button on the app and unassign myself and move along ( that button should cancel the order but it doesnt what it does is unassigns me and uber sends a new driver to store since they dobt pay us anymore they dont care to just send another driver ) eventually if no one cancelling uber ups the price suddenly base pay gets higher like $30 for 5 miles than one drivers clicks order picked up and do a ghost delivery ( comes near your home and swipes order delivered ( there was never food but he gets paid and you get charged , its terrible but uber is the responsible party for creating this stuation if the store closed button accually worked and cancel the order everything would be fine or they paid that $3 I would call and cancel the order with support but I am not going to spend another 10 min for an order I AM NOT GETTING PAID A DIME

-1

u/Wide-Hunt-1833 Jul 06 '26

You can cancel it. That's why there is Uber support. They're literally there, in case if anything like this happens

5

u/Asiaticson_ Jul 06 '26

The uber support may remove me from the order. Being removed from the order does not cancel their order on their behalf. If you read down this chain from actual drivers you’ll understand that. Customers have an ideas (but really no clue) on how the functions actually work. Meanwhile drivers just expect to get screwed.

0

u/Wide-Hunt-1833 Jul 06 '26

"actual drivers" as if i'm not telling you I drive i do uber and dd, god you reading comprehension sucks, you do realize it's not going to be the same way for everybody and second of all completely either did not read or can't I don't really ever have this issue because I look up restaurant that are open and that close it is not hard open your map to see what's open so if you see said restaurant pop-up, you know, it's closed And to immediately deny the order It's not hard to work smarter

2

u/Asiaticson_ Jul 06 '26 edited Jul 06 '26

That’s what we are saying. You may deny the order but that doesn’t cancel the customers order for them. If you know it doesn’t work the same for everyone why, did you insist that I could at first?

-1

u/Wide-Hunt-1833 Jul 06 '26

What's what does "why did you inside that I could at first" even meann like there's no commas there's no pause lmaoo

-2

u/Wide-Hunt-1833 Jul 06 '26

Lmaoo is that even english at the end 💀 i'm literally having a stroke trying to read that

2

u/Asiaticson_ Jul 06 '26

It was a typo

0

u/Wide-Hunt-1833 Jul 06 '26

You're saying it doesn't cancel for the customer but funny enough, it actually does If you tell them that the restaurant is closed, it cancels on both ends lmaoo with the lack of anybody agreeing with you, I think you should take the L

1

u/Stfrieza Jul 07 '26

You're too stupid to be this mean, you gotta pick a struggle

28

u/Shreddersaurusrex Jul 06 '26

Why do ppl work customer service if they can’t communicate with the very ppl they’re serving? Dude needs Google translate.

14

u/PlaneMap Jul 06 '26

Driver is a thief and he wants your food. Make him cancel it if he wants it so bad, and rat him out to customer service.

7

u/Motor_Spread9346 Jul 06 '26

The store is closed

0

u/PheonixBuddha Jul 06 '26

A wendys? Closed? With the Uber eats tablet open and logged in? In the middle of the night?

2

u/AlternativePainter27 Jul 06 '26

That ain't true If the store is closed its closed there is absolutely nothing we can do about it

Apart from be nice call the customer out of respect then try to give the customer a chance to re order food from somewhere else that's open

I find allot of the time, customers dont answer or respond to my messages

Then I try support Support now asks driver to take a photo of the store closed This is evidence

10

u/ItsATrap1983 Jul 06 '26

Make him cancel it. I had a food order just yesterday where the restaurant was closed. The driver can go through driver support to cancel it without it affecting their cancellation rate, which I did yesterday. I also got $3. Some drivers just don't want to go through the extra steps because it takes more time.

-9

u/MarzipanMajor6175 Jul 06 '26

He doesn't want the order to go to another driver is why and waste their time as well.

1

u/ItsATrap1983 Jul 06 '26

If you actually contact support and inform them it's closed it won't go to another driver. It's only when you click the quick options for your cancellation that it goes to other drivers.

2

u/Basedho Jul 07 '26

Even if the driver calls support directly it is a cancellation strike against the driver. Despite what the customer support says. Then the app will send more drivers out to pick up the missing order, until the customer cancels the order themselves anyways

1

u/ItsATrap1983 Jul 07 '26

No. I literally did this two days ago. No strike on my cancellation. You can't just press the quick button for the restaurant being closed. You have to chat with a support agent. You have to take a pic for them of it being closed and answer a few questions. It doesn't increase your cancellation stats. I also got a $3 fee.

0

u/rosebudmermaid Jul 06 '26

Only time I have had orders from other drives is when I get to the restaurant and they tell me the order was already picked up you're the 5th driver to arrive since then

7

u/MarzipanMajor6175 Jul 06 '26

I've had it happened at closed restaurants. It happened to me like a few days ago. I told the customer it was closed and that they need to contact Uber support so more drivers are not sent here. Contacted Uber support on my side and they sent me $3 for the $39 order as compensation lol. Idk why people are down voting me, I tell the customer to contact Uber support and cancel as well because if I cancel all it does is just send more drivers and the customer is just sitting there wondering where there food is lol.

3

u/The_Rociante Jul 06 '26

I had this issue with a driver (a couple) who tried saying they weren't allowed to cross into NY from NJ and I needed to cancel, I was like I can't due to you already picking my food up, and if they want to cancel they are more than welcome to. They bright my food cause apparently they are on thin ice from this issue cause they do it so much to get free food. I literally called them out on it and girl didn't want to acknowledge it but your bf was like we tried lol. If it wasn't sealed I wasn't going to eat it lol

7

u/Outlaw11091 Jul 06 '26

If you cancel it: he gets the food AND the money. (assuming he's lying about the store being closed).

If he cancels it: just the food (and a ding on his rating).

If what he said was true: he can call driver support and they will cancel it, paying half of what he was offered.

You should absolutely never cancel an order that you actually want (and have paid for). Personally, I'd call the restaurant to verify, then call UE to tell them how much of a liar he is (or isn't).

2

u/jerryeight Jul 06 '26

They actually don't pay the driver a cent.

1

u/Outlaw11091 Jul 06 '26

They do.

It just depends on the circumstances. If the customer ordered the food while the restaurant was open and you arrive an hour later when the restaurant is closed, then no, they won't pay that.

But if you arrive to a restaurant that is closed when it should be open, they'll pay.

3

u/rosebudmermaid Jul 06 '26

I have had to click on restaurant is closed and I never got paid

2

u/POGofTheGame Jul 06 '26

I haven't experienced that exact scenario, but I doubt it. They definitely don't automatically and at best will offer you $3.

At any rate the contention is that the driver does not get paid if the customer cancles, which is true. At least not automatically, and again, $3.

Which is absurd because uber keeps all of the money and needs to get the shit sued out of them, but that's the way it is.

1

u/robrichard426 Jul 06 '26

They should pay the driver any time they send a driver to a closed store.

Too bad they don't. But they should

1

u/_Aliceinwonderland3 Jul 07 '26

They offer a few dollars and only so many times. It’s not half what was promised. I’ve never been paid more than the 3 dollars for when the store is closed or for waiting an extra 40 minutes at a restaurant for the order to be ready which they also cap.

0

u/englishfury Jul 06 '26

No I've been to places that closed hours before they should and uber pays nothing

2

u/jerryeight Jul 06 '26

Also, it's not my fault when you offer the order minutes before the restaurant closes. Lol

Uber doesn't care about the driver or the paying customers.

1

u/MarzipanMajor6175 Jul 06 '26

No, a lot of Wendy's close around this time for some reason. The one next to my house is closed by midnight and will refuse door dash or Uber eats orders that come in at 11:45. They will tell you their system is down. It's because they already turned off the grills to clean them. Lol The reason he wants them to cancel is so it doesn't keep going to other drivers over and over again. The base pay is probably at $40 for him to complete so when I driver sees that they get excited and drive over there just for it to be closed. Lol If they don't cancel Uber will just keep sending drivers to that location and they will keep contacting OP to cancel the order.

8

u/brahvoh Jul 06 '26

drivers can unassign themselves

7

u/rosebudmermaid Jul 06 '26

I am an Uber Eats driver and once I have accepted an order the only way out of it is to cancel. However, Uber Eats recently improved some of the cancellations if I get to a closed restaurant, that used to count against me, but starting last month I can now click on restaurant is closed and it just asks me for a picture proving it and I take the picture and then it cancels the order for me and it doesn't count against my rate

4

u/rosebudmermaid Jul 06 '26

Also I didn't get paid for the closed restaurant order

1

u/Asiaticson_ Jul 06 '26

I wish I had this in my state. I’m in GA and there’s no “pic to prove it”

2

u/cheeseymom Jul 06 '26

Cancel when it's close? As in right before it's about to arrive? Idk why they think someone would want to do that.

2

u/bulletcasing421 Jul 06 '26

If the restaurant is closed and you don't cancel your order you fuck over every single driver that gets assigned to, because it will be assigned to more than one person. Don't believe the people in the comment saying that this guy's trying to scam you, if the store is actually closed you canceling it is the best outcome for both you and the driver. You can get a refund they can actually get kind of paid for their time and nobody else has to go to this closed store and and drop their metrics for no reason.

2

u/thatoneguy23000 Jul 07 '26

I put in the order before the place closed but pretty close to closing time, they accepted it and it said they were preparing the order, but by the time the driver got there they apparently just abandoned making my order and had shut the place down.

1

u/ReasonMoney3051 Jul 06 '26

So it punishes you instead of him. Please report him!

1

u/AlternativePainter27 Jul 06 '26

If the order is cancelled by yourself the driver sometimes gets to go to another order quicker than going through support

1

u/AlternativePainter27 Jul 06 '26

Sometimes the driver will ask this as Sometimes we cannot connect to live support straight away meaning we could be waiting a long time to contact support So if the customer cancels the order it means we as drivers can move onto our next delivery without bad stats from customers and also uber

1

u/miiz_murrderr Jul 06 '26

He wants you to cancel it so Uber stops sending it to other drivers. If the restaurant is closed it usually doesn't count against us as a cancellation but he might not know that. If you cancel you don't get a refund but Uber will continue sending this to drivers with higher and higher pay and everyone will waste their time. It sucks but it's not your problem. Just wait til it cancels on its own so you get a refund.

1

u/Ok-Island7437 Jul 06 '26

Usual suspects

1

u/latinadogmom1472 Jul 06 '26

He is the one that needs to call and cancel as the store was closed not you. You’d be charged if you do this and not get a refund.

1

u/MeganJustMegan Jul 07 '26

He can cancel & tell the app the place is closed, not you.

1

u/Tall-Psychology7729 Jul 07 '26

It’s still wrong. His “public profile picture” is only available to customers he serves. He didn’t take that picture to share with the world. His name is there on top of it. At least be thoughtful and edit it out. You would make sure to do it if it was your name and face, show the same courtesy for him.

Never cancel. Dude has got to figure out his problem and not try to scam the customer.

He should be calling customer service and getting half pay, or should mark the reatauraunt closed and get no pay. You do not need to do anything. DO NOT CANCEL YOUR ORDER

Uber Eats sucks so bad they’ve created a Climate where the drivers don’t want to cancel because it still counts against them and customers don’t want to cancel because getting a refund is a headache

The only times it’s never counted against me and I didn’t see a cancellation on my record was when they had to give me some sort of fund back like they’ll give me $3 that’s the only time

Never cancel yourself, you also don't get your money back

The driver doesn't want your food. They just don't want the order to keep doing to other drivers because it drives the price up, he probably Isent the first driver to show up to pick up your food. The price keeps going up for each driver that cancels it can get up to the 40s and 50s and he probably knows what it feels like to show up and it be closed so he can't get paid. So he's asking you to cancel so it doesn't keep sending it to the next driver over and over because no one can complete it. One of the drivers though will say fuck it and ghost deliver it, that means him saying he picked it up and drive to your house and just say completed order because it's $50 at this point. Now you have no food and have to prove you never got your food and no body is at Wendy's to confirm anything because it is closed. All he wants is this order to not go to another driver and waste their time as well. When this happens to me I just contact the customer that they need to cancel this order because the restaurant is closed, then I contact support to cancel on my side.
