This and I'm no plumber, but I'd imagine this would unnecessarily complicate the piping setup.

Edit: My notifications are full of so many conflicting answers lmao

i don't think the piping will make much difference in cost when it's newly installed. the panels totally would though. these badboys are deceptively expensive.

That's why they cut costs by eliminating the bottom six inches.

Eliminating the bottom 6 inches also makes it easier to clean & see if the stall is occupied
