I found this old box at a thrift store. Fairly standard drawers in the top but oddly the largest part had no good way to access it. Looked for a hinge and there wasn’t one, and the other side was closed by one solid piece of wood.

The craftsmanship was good so whomever built it knew what they were doing, it would make sense that it has a practical purpose it seemed intentionally designed.

This has been on my nightstand for over a month and my adhd brain cannot remember if I need to keep it or where it should live besides my night stand doom pile. I vaguely remember removing it and it having a slightly important use. . . HELP!

What are these weird little speckles at the bottom of my paper cup ? I noticed this after I had already dranken the whole drink. Google said it’s beetles, safari said it’s serratia bacteria.. The soda was sprite and the paper cup was from a restaurant. I tore it up to see better. Also it smears orange when I touch it

Mystified. Does not seem to go with the fridge in this house (which has glass shelves, not this mesh) but seems like a fridge part? I worry we won’t realize what it’s for until the day after we throw it away and it’s impossible to get a replacement. Dude which door bro?

Any tips appreciated.

Solved! — you put that flap over the dryer door so the shelf projects into the dryer. You can put stuff on top that won’t get tumbled as it dries. I felt gullible going up to try shoving it in my drier, I thought it was crazy, but as soon as I shoved it in, I saw what it was for.

But who ever found this useful??

Bought these at a yard sale as “vintage jell-o molds”, but then saw a photo in a cook book with a small brioche roll baked in something that looks like these? I love them! Just not sure what they’re for…! (Lighter for scale)

My boyfriend found this in the drier we have NO CLUE what it is

I have these unusual nose pliers with this plate screwed in where the cutting jaw is. They are M. Klein and Sons Chicago. Why is it made with a plate there? Is there a special use for it?

Found this little thing in my bowl of microwave oatmeal, at first I thought it was a burnt oat, but it has an almost rubbery texture, like a really thin piece of plastic. I guess possible it was in the bowl before I made the oatmeal, but I think I would’ve seen it. Any guesses? (I’m eating the rest anyway but I’d love to know what we think)

my mom is a firm believer of voodoo. she grew up in louisiana. recently she had kicked out a friend that was living with us because they were going through a rough patch, the friend was extremely upset about it. my mom was telling me she had a feeling something was up with the house after kicking her friend out. i've also started noticing these plus marks or crosses around the place. kinda like how in squid game when they marked a person that was still alive for organ harvest.

Saw this on TV, and I don't trust AI enough to ask it. What is this thing? How should I search for it, since now I'm curious to see what it sounds like on its own. Thanks a lot, good folk of Reddit.

Took my cat to the emergency vet and it came in the little “gift” bag they gave us

Is this what they hook to to pull bodies out? What is the cog wheel for?

This handmade hexagonal fabric thing has 3 layers that make triangular pockets between them, a handmade lace edge, and a drawstring that makes no sense to me. Someone obviously put a lot of work into it, and it seems like it must have had a specific purpose but we can't figure it out. It was with a bunch of old things my mother in law had from her aunt and could be anywhere from 100 to 40 years old. Any guesses what this was for?

On a recent drive down Highway 79 headed to East Texas I noted the presence of what I think is a new flag looking basically like an American flag except it is a gray flag with a black field where the stars should be. Saw a couple at churches and maybe one or two on ranch poles. It was flown either on a separate pole or at the bottom of three flags with the American flag at the top. I unfortunately was not able to get a good picture. Never seen this before. Any ideas?

Found this large pile of gelatinous goo while camping on the forest floor in British Columbia, it had no smell and there was a lot of it! Anyone have any ideas what it could be?

Specifically interested in the expiration date…

kinda weird situation today. mom and I found this busted up, rusty chargers tied to one of our car door handles. we obviously did not touch it with our bare hands and I've seen enough videos warning women about trafficking markers to know not to take this stuff lightly, but I'm curious to know other people's thoughts.....

found this on a walk today, I tried searching it up but couldn't find anything matching it. I thought maybe it was a part of a broken car key?? it says (800) 245 LEXUS and www.lexusofglendale.com (im not from glendale so dont worry abt me doxxing myself) on the back so clearly its from a lexus, but i cant find what it actually is. just curious about it because I used google lens and reverse image search and nothing came up

They feel like glass, without any obvious markings. Any idea what they could be?

Found in an auction lot of my parents. Have no idea what this is. It’s a knit fabric and is a pocket of some sort any ideas? There’s a bunch of them

assuming some kind of boating equipment, but what? also near some piles of rocks, pretty sure this used to be a river or something that dried out.

Brand-IroIro
Color-105 plum

Very confusing as I use iro iro often and I’ve never seen this
