Long time participant here, first time poster. I would like to confirm that this is a Dutch oven before I try a recipe. Make fun of me for not knowing, but I’m more of a crock pot person, and I have lived on this planet for over 50 years without ever needing one. Bananas for scale, and threw in a good point for good measure.
EDIT: now that it is established that it’s not a Dutch oven, the bottom of the pan surface is what I’m wondering about. What is the purpose of the textured/bumpy surface?

Rams vs Bills

We’ve been dumbfounded staring at this thing on our kitchen ceiling.

It hangs above a nook where we put a dining table and there’s an outlet in the middle of the wall next to it. I’m wondering if it’s a support for a pendant light. But friends think it’s for a curtain (which doesn’t make sense to me because it’s in the middle of the room.)

Do you know what it could be?

For starters, if you really want to go down a rabbit hole, this is the infamous "JCM Farming Compound" in Indio, CA. Lots of rumors and speculation as to what really goes on there, as well as what purpose the compound truly serves. I found some recently-taken drone shots, not sure why the quality is dark (maybe there was a filter on the lens), and noticed these odd cylinders all along the 4 ft thick security wall, as well as just outside it. FYI, it is highly rumored that there is a large underground section of this property. Could these possibly be shafts indicating a sub-level?

I've discovered a new phenomenon. I work in midtown manhattan and as the sun was behind this building this appeared. Is it the reflection of the building or the first ever, horizontal magical rainbow. lemme know how this works plz🙏

kinda weird situation today. mom and I found this busted up, rusty chargers tied to one of our car door handles. we obviously did not touch it with our bare hands and I've seen enough videos warning women about trafficking markers to know not to take this stuff lightly, but I'm curious to know other people's thoughts.....

There was a video going around with this image and people were expressing their fear in the comments. Whenever I asked the problem with something blocking the road I was told "you must be innocent" or "trust me you do not want to know". Now I wanna know!

I zoomed in to take a picture of the raindrops on this mourning dove feather and found movement inside! I'm wondering if it's normal particles, a reflection, or microorganisms. Sometimes, they move slowly and other times quickly.

This past heat wave my (f22) husband (m26) and I swam a lot and I noticed on our sunscreen stick that it was bright orange and so were his towels, I inspected him and found this orange stuff all over him?? I also found some staining the shower wall? I’m not sure how he’s creating this orange stuff or what it is? I’m not orange so it’s something he’s making or doing? Any ideas?

Is it some type of mould? Looks like a flower but that doesn't make sense. If you blow on them they float away

I find them every summer. I remove them, but they come back. It’s along where the roots of a tree are, but the tree was removed about 10 years ago. They’re gross seeming and they piss me off

EDIT: good lord. I knew it was probably a type of mushroom. I didn’t specify that in my og post because I’d get flamed if I was wrong. With the knowledge that it was likely growing off the tree root, I didn’t feel too concerned touching it since touching it does NOT equal consuming it and I know how to wash my hands well. Though some of you seem to have dickwad attitudes, so I’d invite you to try some random mushrooms you find and see what happens.

When we moved into my college rental house, my roommates and I found this in the basement. It’s a half circle of 10 small candles and the candles appear to have been lit. The ones out of place were accidentally moved by us, it was originally a perfect half circle. They’re also inside of a small makeshift room in the basement with cardboard walls. When we asked the landlord, he said he didn’t know and to just throw them away. I also asked the previous tenants and they had no clue. It’s in a small town in Indiana. It looks like a ritual type thing but no one has been able to give a clear answer. Any ideas?

It folds up and the panels are about 14” x 10”

my mom is a firm believer of voodoo. she grew up in louisiana. recently she had kicked out a friend that was living with us because they were going through a rough patch, the friend was extremely upset about it. my mom was telling me she had a feeling something was up with the house after kicking her friend out. i've also started noticing these plus marks or crosses around the place. kinda like how in squid game when they marked a person that was still alive for organ harvest.
