Question Negative 11/12 DPO
Looking for advice or hope. Has anyone ever tested negative on 11-12 DPO? But then ended up getting a positive ? I’m very sad right now and I’m hoping I just tested too early or don’t have enough HCG TO SHOW… I’ve lost hope. Convinced I am not pregnant. It’s a whirlwind of emotions. My expected period is the 15th….

The absolute Last thing I want to do is give you false hope. But, I’ll say that with my daughter, yes I was two negative tests on CD10 & CD11 and then positive CD13. So it’s not impossible by any means. Think that’s why I don’t usually want to test until after I’ve missed my period.

Are you very sure of your ovulation? I had a negative at 11 dpo with my first baby and the faintest positive at 13 dpo, but realized later that I had probably ovulated 3-4 days later (I was just going off my cycle tracking app back then and didn't monitor CM or any other ovulation symptoms).

I did monitor my ovulation and got a positive on the 29th - so ovulation was probably the 30th or 1st….

Sending solidarity because I tested on what I thought was DPO 11 (CP last cycle so I’m assuming things are a bit out of whack rn) and it was a BFN. Period due on the 14th but I’m clinging onto the hope that I could have just tested too early…
Please keep me posted!

I was negative 9,10 and 11DPO with my son, didn’t test for a couple days, and then got a strong positive on 15DPO. I didn’t look that closely at the 11DPO test so it may have been super faint that day. I was temping religiously so I know when I ovulated within a day or so.

I got a positive at 14 DPO after getting negatives for days prior. Unfortunately, that pregnancy ended in a CP

Personally, I would accept a negative if I was sure it was 12 dpo. That was the day I would test to determine whether to discontinue progesterone suppositories that I used to lengthen my luteal phase. But since it doesn't sound like you're using progesterone, you can just keep waiting for your period. I wouldn't be hopeful about your current cycle unfortunately.

I say gently that you should be pretty convinced you’re not pregnant with a negative at 11-12 DPO, I’m sorry. The test should convince you.
FWIW, I do not test before my missed period. It’s what’s best for my mental health, having been down the road in the past of much earlier testing with anxiety and heartache.

I make a point to never test before 14 days after my positive OPK, or about 13 DPO. I’ve been negative at 11 and 12 DPO before and then tested positive at 15 DPO. Most likely I just ovulate later than I think I do, but 14 days after the positive OPK is what my fertility clinic recommends and that’s what I try to stick to for my own mental health.
