Why is only optimistic nihilism a valid perspective on this sub?

Any time you point out anything negative about life and our existence, no matter how true it is, you get labeled depressed and cringe. Isn't that just a sign that majority on this sub are not really lucid and are afraid to confront reality the way it is.

Because in a meaningless world nothing is inherently positive or negative.

Posters that pretend that things are intrinsically negative or positive are not nihilistic.

This is the point that people try to get across.

In this world With your words: "In a meaningless world" What does that mean?

Sounds kind of... Negative

I wouldn't love to be with someone Who asserted meaninglessness

I wouldn't serve them breakfast Because it would be meaningless

I wouldn't let them near children Because they could do "meaningless" things

Is paedophilia negative or positive?

There is a difference between inherent meaning and meaning that we attribute ourselves.

We cannot help but do the latter in spite of the fact that the lack of the former is the truth.

Also, if the act of doing something is meaningless then the act of not doing it is also meaningless. So it ends up being preference.

Sorry about that last comment. Obviously, your life holds meaning, and I care about you.

Is that sarcasm? Hard to tell when everything is meaningless.
