I'm originally from Central Florida, so I'm very used to heavy and hectic traffic.
And of course just like anywhere else I would see people on their phones either speaking on their phone
Hands-Free Or with their phone up to their ear.
When I used to live up north in Maine it was one of the places where I least saw people driving either speaking on the phone scrolling on the phone or with their phone in front of their face while they were driving.
I've been in Greensboro for about 6 months now, And in between Florida And North Carolina I have never seen so many people driving With their phones in front of their faces. Literally you will pull up to a red light and people will be scrolling through Facebook or scrolling through Instagram at the red light.
If a Florida State Trooper saw you at a red light scrolling through Facebook or just mindlessly staring at your phone you would get an insane ticket,
Then I wondered why I see so many cars in Greensboro with missing bumpers, smashed back ends, Broken tail lights etc
I'm not trying to tell nobody how to live their life but if you're one of these individuals you are putting yourself and the other people around you in danger by doing these things.
You can't wait to mindlessly scroll through Tic Tok or Instagram until you get wherever you're going?
Is it really worth getting into an accident hurting yourself or hurting someone else?

Hi everyone!
I’m a local pet lover launching a premium 2-hour adventure service for dogs, designed specifically for the North Greensboro area / zip code 27455 (near the Science Center and Country Park). What’s included in the $55-per-dog service?
• 🚗 Pick-up and drop-off included: Safe door-to-door transportation.
• 🌳 Off-leash playtime: Fun, fetch, and running—safely—*strictly within* the fenced dog area (Bark Park) at Country Park.
• 🥾 Structured trail walk: A pleasant, safe walk—always on-leash—along the park’s lakeside trails.
• 🍖 Allergy-conscious: Regular clients receive a personalized treat pouch as a gift after their first week!
• 🎁 Special keepsake: Hit the 6-month mark together? Celebrate with a custom keychain featuring a laser-engraved photo of your dog, lovingly crafted by Gail Designs!
• 🩵 Safety first: Small groups (maximum 3 dogs). All dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations and sociable with other dogs.
I have limited spots left for the season. Please send me a direct message (DM) if you’re interested or have any questions! 🐕✨

My name is Lyss, and I met someone on a game app who unexpectedly became a special part of my days. We talked all day, every day, until our conversations suddenly stopped on October 6.
I don’t know much, but I know how he made me feel. I just hope he’s okay.
If by some unlikely chance you’re reading this, you know who you are. I’d really love to hear from you. No pressure, no expectations. Just hoping you’re doing alright.

Don't even know how to process this, my car is the only way I make ends meet by door dashing and ubering. If anyone is around downtown area please keep a eye out.
I have toy ducks near windshield if the thieves kept them there.
I'm guessing they stole my car probably early in the morning 2am -8am honestly can't even believe this is happening.

Does anyone here know of any Sober Living Homes and or Oxford Houses that possibly allow medium/large pets (dog)?

I’m looking for anyone interested in Charlotte Renaissance Fair tickets for November 7th. I may have up to four available (will know for sure before the end of the week)
I procrastinated and have been on a waitlist for the 7th for over a week. Didn’t realize how popular it was, but then realized it was bundled as a Christmas/Pirate thingy…oops? Most of my friends and family have decided to go the 8th instead. I’d just like for everyone to go the same day.
I’m looking to sell for $50 each, or $200 in total. Forgive me if I become overprotective of this. We’ll exchange carefully because I’ve never resold tickets before. If the Lord’s willing, hopefully I don’t get scammed lol. I’m just excited to show off my costume and see everyone without having to go twice

My sister's last day in NC is today and we are looking for something to do. We tried to go canoeing but 1 place stops on Oct 1 and the other is only open on weekends.
This is her first time out of TX (she has autism so our dad is very protective) and I want to make the last day special :)

Hello! I have a small 9-year-old dog who is very sweet once she gets comfortable, but she can be nervous around strangers. Does anyone have any recommendations for a mobile dog groomer who is patient, gentle, and experienced with scared or anxious dogs? Thank you in advance!

Any good suggestions for hiking or biking trails within about 1 hour of GSO?

I'm new to the area and don't really know who the reputable professionals in the area are just yet. I found CSM Flooring through this subreddit and couldn't be happier with the work they did refinishing my hardwood floors. Now I'm hoping to recapture that magic by turning to you guys for a handyman recommendation.

I was just thinking that if l don't drive my mom, she won't be able to get out to vote because she's too old to drive.
There must be others like her.
How can we help?

I have a 2004 Chevy Impala that runs but isn't in great shape due to disuse (I wouldn't drive it).
Who is the best company to deal with that will pay some decent cash for this car and will come tow it away? I have the clean title.
I want to deal with a company that has a solid reputation that can take care of the title work or pays enough to make it worth my while to go to the DMV.

I'm thinking about selling my collection. Most are baseball cards ranging from late-80's to early 2000s. Have much smaller collections of football and basketball from same approximate time range

Greensboro residents keep hearing that economic development will expand the tax base and help pay for public services. Yet our water bills and property taxes keep rising.

It's my oldest child's birthday, and they've never been to a hibachi restaurant before, so I want to surprise them. Are there any places you'd recommend making a reservation at?

What the title says, pretty much. I’m a 22M college students attending A&T and I wanna meet up and make some friends who also like to play rhythm games, though I’m pretty casual, I’m trying to work on improving when I can. I often attend Round One and Arcadia Manor during the week or weekend.

Hey, my fiancee and I just moved into a house and we neglected to buy a lawn mower. I plan on getting one around the end of the month (because $$$), but I was wondering if anyone would be interested in being paid to mow my lawn once. I'd also be willing to borrow/rent someone's lawnmower for an afternoon. I'm in the cardinal area.
Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks Greensboro!

Hey everyone! 👋
I’ve been thinking about starting a small social group in Greensboro for people who want to make genuine friends but might find traditional socializing a little awkward or overwhelming.
The idea is to get together for relaxed activities like park picnics, board games, coffee meetups, documentaries, or just hanging out and talking about things we love.
I’m talking about all kinds of interests: science, psychology, history, astronomy, animals, gaming, movies, weird facts, random trivia, and info-dumping about your favorite topics. 😂
You don’t have to be an expert or be super outgoing. Maybe you’re the kind of person who could talk for an hour about something oddly specific, or maybe you just enjoy listening and learning new things.
The group would be LGBTQ+-affirming and welcoming to anyone who respects others. The goal is friendship, not dating.
I’d love to start small with a picnic or board game meetup in Greensboro and see where it goes.
Would anyone be interested in something like this? And what kind of activities or topics would you enjoy?
