Baby finch is plucking Momma finch bald.
This picture was a few weeks ago, I separated them and now the moms feathers grew back. They really want to be together but the baby is so needy, like even in separate cages when I feed them her baby wants to eat her moms food instead of her own. They are several months old now.
They were in a huge parrot cage with lots of enrichment when her baby was doing all of this. Should I try to put them back together?

Finch acting strange?
My finch (Marty) has been on the bottom of his cage for a while, doesn’t fly much but when he does he flies for a second and falls back to the ground, he’s limping(?) and doesn’t chirp or talk, let me pick him up and wrap him in a towel without biting or fighting (he never does, but i’d assume he’d try to get away) What’s going on?

Question about blue Gouldian finches
The blue mutation is the complete absense of carotenoids, yellow lutein and red canthaxanthin. Yet, red-head and orange-head blue Gouldians still have a red-ish tinge to their face. Is this because they're aren't a 'true, full' blue?
I did consider the possibility of the face colouration being pheomelanin, present on the lower feather barbs, but it isn't the right colour and is too intense. And white-breasted blues, although having a duller face colouration, do not have truely pigmentless white faces. If the residual face pigment was pheomelanin and not carotenoids, the white breasted mutation would prevent pheomelanin expression on the face feathers as far as I know.

My little finches, GUESS THEIR AGE!!
The male is Chip and the female is Potato. I named them after my fav series, if you don't know chip and potato.. Chip Is a 4-5 year old pug and potato is a mouse. I used to love that show and still do

Reposting with pic: Male Gouldian with black beak?
So, I have a question. I got a euro Gould that was sold as a male but the vocalizations sound more...female? I mean I just got him so I'm waiting for him to sing to confirm atp. But he has a black beak, like a hen. Visually, he looks male aside from that. Very vibrant, rich, colors.
Are there males that just have a darker beak? He's supposed to be about a year and a half old. This it the first time I'm seeing one like this and it's throwing me for a little loop.
Edit: I added a couple pictures since I hadn't put any on my last post

Iso java sparrow breeders.
Must be within US,
I was hoping somebody could point me in the direction of a breeder that has healthy sparrows, I have other javas, but they all cannot commune due to being directly related( siblings and both male and female) they have all been hand reared by me and are fully hand tame. Since they all are at least 3 years I would like to consider adding to my flock but it is getting increasingly difficult to find them within the US especially within the pnw area

It is genuinely crazy just how hard these guys bite
Double barred finch. Of all the finches I've handled I've never had any of them bite me as hard as these guys do. They also bite and thrash like a crocodile. But they're just so small and pretty.
Disclaimer: I clean aviaries and aquariums for a living. These birds are semi-feral (in temperament) and only get handled by me every 3 months for trims and medical care. I am very gentle handling them and they get plenty of treats afterwards.
