This joke really just wasn’t funny, and there’s a way better joke about how boring men’s workout clothing is compared to women’s. I’m not funny enough to write it, but I’m sure someone here can.

idk back in the 80's the shorts were sooo short balls and weiner would be constantly visible.

Exactly, have you ever seen a Wham music video, plus the tight blue jeans showed everything. Did we forget about the Jane Fonda 80’s era, creepo is old enough, he should remember that.

At the time it wasn’t known they were homosexual, it was the style, short shorts and neon. However men in the early 80’s, regardless of sexuality were known to wear short shorts and sometimes even a half shirt. How do I know, because I was alive then.
