Political Question Why are trump supporters afraid of this question?
116
u/Due_Willingness1 27d ago
Is there anything trump supporters aren't afraid of?
103
u/TankUMrMinor 27d ago
Minors. Unless they get caught.
60
u/Trash_man_can 27d ago
You say Trump supporters, but I would say Republicans. All of them.
The thing is, Republican voters also laugh at the craziness of MAGA - but then they vote for the exact same fascist cult and think they're better because consume slightly different propaganda.
It's a Republicans as a giant cult, not just the hyper insane MAGA.
Republican voters in their brains still believe this is better than the Demcorats - they feed on endless negative propaganda about Democrats being horrible insane traitors - and that's what the conservatives are.
Trump could die tomorrow and Republican's will continue to be an extremely deadly voting block.
Republican voters are all groomed to believe whatever the ultra rich lay for them to believe

u/PickingPies 27d ago
I really wish it's an American thing but it seems to be a property of the far right in general.

u/tubaman23 27d ago
Yeah this is pretty on point for what it sounds like when I visit home (conservative area below the Bible Belt) when people talk.
1
u/ggtimw 21d ago
So one party prosecutes the head of the other in exaggerated charges in a 1 of 1 prosecution, uses the CIA/FBI to spy on the opposing campaign and commits regular political violence including killing well known speakers from the other side and several times trying to kill the president.
The other side gets heavy handed applying the law to a problem which is totally out of control and which almost all republicans are OK to pay a high price for to solve given that 20 years has shown that nothing short of that will work
Why are you surprised by people are more afraid of the crazy left these days ?

I got banned for asking if there's anything they disagree with Trump about. Not wished they didn't vote for him, just something they disagree with him on. Even if it's just a color of tie he wore.

u/TankUMrMinor 27d ago
But I thought reddit was a leftist monolith lol /s

u/Artisttype1984 27d ago
Just depends on the sub you're on, some parts are RW and some LW
As long as you aren't just rage name calling and real, you'll be fine. The ToS are clear
8
u/TankUMrMinor 27d ago
The RW subs are more heavily censored by FAR. They have excuses for this but the fact is, their beliefs don't hold up to scrutiny.

u/Live_Barracuda9984 21d ago edited 18d ago
Wtf are you taking about, with the abbreviating and all? What is ToS?
1
u/Artisttype1984 21d ago
We're talking about different reddit subs and politics. RW is short for right wing, LW is short for left wing.
ToS is short for terms of service

1
u/Live_Barracuda9984 21d ago
Wow. Something. to. take. note. of. You got banned for asking a legit question if there was anything there was anything anyone disagrees with Trump about? This is illegal , if that happened to you for that question..Take pictures of the websites messages with the ban and and hold on to all of it- this is discrimination and censorship you’ve experienced.
43
u/Chillow_Ufgreat 27d ago
They're afraid of any question they don't have marching orders for yet.
19
u/TankUMrMinor 27d ago
This is what I've observed for years now. The day the news breaks, they don't have the talking points. It's almost 24 hours since this broke though, so the weak defenses and hilarious responses should be coming in shortly.
8
u/BarnacleGooseIsLoose 27d ago
Spot on. My guess is that they'll point out that Russia sold us Alaska, so they are friends and it's reasonable for them to use some of that money in appreciation for us taking Alaska off their hands.
3
u/Odd_Elderberry4316 27d ago
Y'all realize that they don't really care what we think, as long as the grift continues, right? This isn't some flame war to be won on the merits for internet points. They genuinely do not care. They just say shit to distract you, but none of it matters if they keep getting away with murder.

Asking a Trump supporter a question they haven't been given talking points and marching orders for is like asking that AI hologram of that deceased doctor in I, Robot questions outside of its parameters . "I'm sorry. My responses are limited. You must ask the right questions."
17
u/TechnicalWhore 27d ago
Odd as a post recently stated Conservative subs do not censor free speech like the "liberal biased Reddit subs do".
7
u/TankUMrMinor 27d ago
Yeah whoever said that was full of 💩 LOL. You either get banned or they ignore your request to post.
2
u/TechnicalWhore 27d ago
Sad state of affairs. The whole point of Reddit, Discord etc is to have conversations and share conflicting perspectives. No personal growth in an echo chamber.
1
u/TankUMrMinor 27d ago
Exactly. Honesty though I use discord for hobbies mostly. I never tried having political discussions there. Interesting I may have a look.
2
u/Eastern_Macaroon5662 27d ago
They're actually one of the few subs that will preemptively ban you for joining or commenting on other subs
1
u/Haunting-South-962 27d ago
Yes, you are free to praise trump and own the libs. Abdolute freedom to do that.
10
u/madadekinai 27d ago
Yeah, I was banned from that sub for posting many facts, they really are a bunch of snowflakes, and they don't even follow their own rules. I have plenty of screenshots where conservatives can whatever they want with impunity, while others are kicked for proving them wrong. Then you have the whole thing about it's an attack if you question them about their beliefs when it says that the purpose of the sub is to get conservative view points and discussion, but if you have a discussion, ask further questions, say anything bad about their would be king, it's an "attack", or "Rule 3 violation of 'good faith'", for me proving your wrong it's not considered 'good faith'.
LMFAO.
3
u/cathercules 27d ago
Banned for asking about how ICE would deport tens of millions of people if it would just lead to them racially profiling brown people. They are soft as fuck and that sub, like all conservative subs, just serves as an outlet for MAGA propaganda.

the stupidity is endless there are magas out there that accuse liberals of being in a cult.

That sums it up--they reach a point where reality is secondary. It's the perceptions planted in their heads by the cult leader.

u/Far_Royal9041 27d ago
LOL!!!!
Because, for anyone paying the tiniest bit of attention, Trump's deals with lets say the Italian Mafia in NYC (allegedly) got completely overshadowed with him doing real estate deals with Russian oligarchs and their shell companies for decades.
Trump and Epstein's relationship crashed and burned not because of anything going on at Mar-a-Lago but because Trump snaked a business deal regarding a Florida mansion. Epstein was in the process of making a bid on the property and he asked his best buddy Donald for a heads up about the costs involved with moving the swimming pool.
"The real estate deal that ended Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein's friendship was a 2004 bankruptcy auction for Maison de L'Amitié, an oceanfront mansion in Palm Beach, Florida."
You can Google it. What essentially happened is Trump stole the deal out-from-under Jeff.
But Jeff was shocked! Where did Donald get the money to outbid him? (Spoiler Alert: It was dirty Russian money.)
Long story short Trump has been entangled with Russia Russia Russia for multiple decades.
So one of Putin's closest allies basically paying several hundred thousand dollars for Trump son's wedding is just one of the most obvious and egregious examples.

Considering that sub is run by Russians…
Of course.
Before it was taken down the comment were pretty crazy.
“A lil sus”
“Who cares”
“Not against the law”
And then removed once a mod got on. Wonder why? After four years of hearing about the Biden crime syndicate-now they don’t wanna talk about presidential family members taking millions from Russian Oligarchs? Hmm…

Literally every single conservative sub is a cesspool of Ruskie bots. This isn't new information. We've known for years how they operate.
1
u/juulwinfieldswallet 27d ago
It's not the question that bothers them, It's the answer and the cognitive dissonance it causes

It isnt fear, it is embarrassment. The usual response to being embarrassed for people is to double down, deflect or make counter accusations.
1
u/Wizywig 27d ago
I don't know the answer to this, however I was randomly thinking of a funny story.
A guy was paying for classes with an instagram account that was an ai generated white woman being super ultra conservative and in a bikini most of the time. He made enough money with that nonsense to fund his schooling.
He said that he couldn't do it for liberals because conservatives were just too dumb not to see through the obvious ai nonsense.
In any case, just thought I'd share some fun thing that popped into my head. Maybe related.

These conservative websites only allow questions and posts that they want. They tend to ban you if you show a hint that you're anti-conservative. It's like a private club and they pick their members.

u/Various-Egg-156 27d ago
r/conservative and r/askconservatives are the epitome of cowrdice.

Why does the wedding need to be funded at all? Aren't their pockrts already overflowing with all the shameless grifting?
1
u/TheGreenMan13 27d ago
You should go ask them what they think of Hunter selling paintings.
2
u/VanGoghInTrainers 26d ago
Bush paints too. Who cares? Neither are in politics right now. 🤷♂️
1
u/TheGreenMan13 26d ago
Neither is Biden, Kamala, Clinton, or Obama but taco still wont shut up about them. And I still see plenty of people complaining about the corruption of the Bidens, to deflect from what taco is doing, including the Hunter laptop thing and when Hunter was selling paintings. OMG, the corruption, just think of all the pay-to-play that could happen with the son of the President selling things!

u/Samwellikki 26d ago
This was only removed because nobody asks them before fucking them over and making them look like idiots… it’s just assumed
You need to ask questions they can answer, like “how do I say it isn’t about trump, but instead about my guns, and keep a straight face?”
“How do I let someone know it’s ALL about race and religion while saying the opposite in defense of my gop support?”
“What size do adult diapers come in..? for no reason whatsoever.”

Because they think it's a disingenuous question designed to make them feel bad. That's not what their safeplace is about. It's about serious discussions about topics that don't mention uncomfortable truths about what they've done to the country and the world by supporting this administration.
1
u/ggtimw 21d ago
Not afraid, we just don't care.
Your telling me that someone gave a bunch of money to a position to try and get influence OMG this has to be the first time in history this has EVER happened.
What we care about is if he does things we want which largely he does while the alternative does things we don't like.
TBH most republicans could care less if he gets rich along the way lord knows every single lawmakers from the house to the oval office will do it anyway so why shouldn't he. The only difference is that if you put the bribes in the context of his wealth when he took the position you will realize they are much less significant then the ones other lawmakers and officials take.
Hope that helps.

u/Color_of_Time 18d ago

Truth hurts them too much. So keep at it. Don't let up. They have said and done vile things. Integrity is not their strong point and accountability is necessary.

Trump supporters are always scared ,that‘s how he can hook them . Maga can’t see the Truth ,they only believe their master . Most or all of Magas can’t accept that they are ever wrong .This is a big part of the problem .They are a lot like compulsive gamblers in that they will win if they get one more try. Magas will all lose in the end .

Because they know deep down that Trump is owned by the Russians and that they're okay with it as long as they get to enjoy his hate and racism?
0
u/comradoge 27d ago
Because of most sub-average people regardless of their political stance doesn't have their personal opinions and opinion forming processes so they need to wait for their spin doctors or role models or whatever when there is a new development, let alone a controversial one. Looks like they haven't found a spin yet.

0
u/mouldghe 27d ago
Fear is the fundament of what people nowadays call conservatism. They are scared shitless of everything. It is their sole motivation. Conservatism is synonymous with cowardice first and foremost.
It's a well-known adage that people are afraid what they don't understand, and these fuckers understand precious little. So it tracks.

That’s not what he said at all. He asked why they are afraid to confront this question. If we are to assume MAGA and the whole Biden-Ukraine thing. Then surely this would be just as bad. Yet they have no problem with it. Just like his first term with private networks and his second term with the signal texts. Those are worse than Hillary and her emails on any basic level. If what Hillary did deserves jail time. Why not for Trump and fam. The party of “law and order” doesn’t care for either when it comes to Trump. They can’t say one bad thing. All they have after 10 years is gas prices.

u/Imhotep99301 27d ago
Are you afraid of posting what rule you broke to get your post removed?
14
u/OldSchoolAJ 27d ago
It's AskConservatives. They have a rule about questions having to 'be in good faith'. And the moderators get to decide what that means, on the fly. If one of them doesn't like a question, they can delete it and just claim 'it was a bad faith question'.
9
u/TankUMrMinor 27d ago
Are you suggesting their rules are reasonable?
-1
u/Imhotep99301 27d ago
No less reasonable then every other subreddits rules.
5
u/TankUMrMinor 27d ago

0
u/FearlessVegetable30 27d ago
so what rule did you break when posting it?
2
u/TankUMrMinor 27d ago
They wouldn't even post it because I haven't met some unquantified requirement they have called highest contribution rate or something.
1
u/FearlessVegetable30 27d ago
so you are a new account to that sub trying to post without the required karma meant for posting
pretty basic rule in like 95% of the subs on this platform tbh. why did asking you that mean you down vote me?
