Following my other bootloader unlock method for the 1st Gen Echo Show 8, I’ve just released a method to unlock the bootloader and install TWRP on the Amazon Echo Show 8 (2nd Gen – 2021), codenamed “athena.”

Unfortunately, it’s not as straightforward as the existing exploits, and it requires a set of prerequisites. So, make sure to read the entire XDA thread thoroughly, especially if you’re using Windows!

My echo show 8 and 5 both show a little box with my most recent stream. The box is useless. If you tap on it it doesn’t open a stream . I want it gone!

I’ve tried unplugging the unit. I’ve tried playing other songs. I’ve tried holding/pressing the widget down. Nothing gets rid of it and it’s always on top of everything else including slide shows. I’ve tried every Google search possible.

Seitdem wird der Echo Dot Max bei den Tasten und drumherum sehr warm.

Gibt es Leute, die es auch haben, oder Leute, die es nicht haben?

I have been having a strange issue where I can;t stop the music I start on the same device I spoke to/started the music on. But if i speak to an echo device outside of that group, it stops the music. I use (2) Alexas in every room. (1) I speak to and (1) is connected to an amp/speakers via 3.5mm to play music. I have them setup in the same group/room and have settings set to play music only from the one that is connected to amp. I have had this setup for several years, but only have this issue in one room. The particular room has (1) Echo dot and (1) Echo Input (connected to amp). I have deleted and recreated the group. I have reset the echo devices, but nothing works

Any suggestions are welcome

If I am traveling out-of-state and I want to play some soothing music for my dogs, can I operate my Echo Studio remotely.

If yes, what are the instructions to achieve this?

Since yesterday both of my echo dots (2nd gen.) died. They only reply that something went wrong and that I should do a factor reset. I did this twice without success.

It's strange that both of them died at the exact same date. All other echos are still alive and working - even the old echos of the 1st gen.

Was there an update that could have killed them?

Experiencing issues getting my Amazon echo 8 to display the livestream from my TD21 doorbell.

Notifications of movements are being played out loud however when it tried to show the livestream it is never successful and appears to timeout.

I have also tried to manually check if I can view the livestream, however I have been unsuccessful with this too.

Any help would be appreciated!

My main use for my Echo is to ask Alexa to play one particular Pandora station. I tried upgrading to Alexa+, and no matter what I said it kept playing a different station. thankfully downgraded, lets hope they never force Alexa+ on these devices.

when my dad has spotify playing he will be singing along to the songs and then alexa will stop the song and listen like we are giving it a command anyway to stop this so my dad can sing without alexa cutting him off midstride

My kids are not allowed to use the echo because of some other creepy things that have happened. We’ve said it’s not safe to talk to the robot because it doesn’t know they’re kids.

This morning my husband was making breakfast, and my son (4) and daughter (6) wanted to play music. My daughter asked it to play kids music. My son didn’t like it, so he said “Echo, play kitty dance party music!”

Echo replied, in an enthusiastic tone that I didn’t know was possible, “You kids wanna see a dead body?”

We are HORRIFIED and reporting it and selling all of them ASAP. Wtf??

It’s 6:30AM. I use my echo dot to play my podcast so I can sleep, I’ve had it going on almost 4 years. I woke up in a spook to this extremely loud static coming from my Alexa.
When I spoke and told her to stop, it turned off.

I’m really spooked and wanna know what on earth that was & how to (hopefully) make it so it never happens again

Used to pull up livestreams well, until a few days ago. Now all the cameras are not responding. Tried unlinking the skill, removing the cameras, etc but nothing is working. Any ideas? Thanks!

So my mom has an amazon prime account, and we have gotten a few alexas for the family registering each under her account as different family members.
I moved out and I would like to enable my camera, but at the same time it really bothers me to know that my mother could spy and see what i do at anytime.

My question is: Is there anyway to be the ONLY one in a family group to be able to see a live camera from a SPECIFIC alexa??

I'm house-pet sitting and typically homeowners will notify me about any audio or visual recording devices in their home. I'm completely fine with them having these things since it is their home, but I do require notification of it for my own privacy (if there's a camera in the bedroom then I won't change in the bedroom and will sleep on the couch, etc.)

I have just noticed there is an Amazon Echo (photographed) and I'm not sure what to think. I know virtually nothing about this device. It was flashing green for a little bit earlier today and stopped/doesn't have any color. I was researching a little bit about the drop in feature. Are they dropping in to listen to verify I'm actually there? How does this work?
