Kanye put out a song called heil Hitler and still sells out stadiums.

Ed will be ok.

3.8k

u/joshak 27d ago

Kanye is also scheduled to perform at AT&T stadium in Arlington, which Macklemore has been banned from.

u/brokeneckblues 27d ago

Criticizing genocide in Gaza is antisemitism but praising hitler is not. God I hate this timeline

1.8k

u/tsuness 27d ago

Just another reminder it was never about antisemitism.

u/AdministrativeLeg14 27d ago

The amazing thing is that there are articles making the rounds of Macklemore dressing up as an extremely offensive Jewish stereotype. (He’s since apologised for it; make of that what you will. Maybe he deserves forgiveness, maybe he doesn’t; I don’t know or care enough about the guy to try to find an answer.)

…But in spite of the photos of Macklemore in the Judenhass equivalent of blackface, what actually upset people was calling for the end to genocide in Gaza? That's what he gets cancelled for?

Huh.

Yeah, it sure as fuck isn’t really about antisemitism when they ignore evidence of actual antisemitism and insist that he must be cancelled for speaking against genocide.

129

u/tsuness 27d ago

Yeah that one killed me too, they had no issues with Macklemore until he said Free Palestine. There was nothing about his 2014 incident until after he was already cancelled.

62

u/Squeakygear 27d ago

What’s hilarious is Pink used his 2014 incident as an excuse for her “feeling scared” after being called out on her initial response to his recent activism. Indeed, the whole righteous indignation of her / Kraft is performative and simply a shield of Israel’s actions in Gaza.

I mean, it was a big deal in Jewish communities. I stopped listening to his music and don’t know many Jews who listen to him or have a high opinion of him.

3

u/tsuness 26d ago

And that's fine, his caracature was pretty racist and should be condemned. Robert Kraft and other Zionists not saying a word about it while he was on tour until he said Free Palestine screams of them looking for a better reason to cancel Macklemore than him being anti-genocide.

1

u/unknowingexpert69 26d ago

He hasn’t been relevant til he started pandering to Palestine supporters for support. There is a zero percent chance he didn’t know what he was doing with the jew face

Those pictures and the apology were also from 12 years ago.

This wasn’t some new thing that just showed up, people just went digging because they didn’t give a shit when it happened. Only now so they can pretend to be outraged and offended is it an issue.

7

u/Used-Lake-8148 27d ago

What an outstanding comment. This sub seems to be the last place you can find reasonable, well-thought-out takes on Reddit.

3

u/kinkyaboutjewelry 27d ago

They would not acknowledge that because they do not want to separate those two things and treat them individually. If they stay glued together, then anyone against one of them is certainly accusable of the other thing. Which is very convenient for whoever is deciding what the talking points are.

2

u/addys 26d ago

I posted this elsewhere in the thread, repeating it for you- The difference is that only one of those was inside a venue during a paid performance - which exposes the venue and the organizers to liability. These are people with no moral or ethical standards whatsoever, but they *do* care about their bottom line.

2

u/CharlieSwisher 26d ago

I would consider what’s happening to Macklemore now as the opposite of cancelling

2

u/ShvitzG_d 26d ago

Speaking as a Jew, I can say confidently that conservative Christians and Trump are purposefully watering down the word to align with Israel at the behest of Bibi.

While there has been a surge in actual antisemitism across the U.S. and world, non-Jews are taking it less seriously because they just now see it at as “oh, Israel.”

I personally think it’s purposefully meant to harm us in the diaspora into moving to Israel and its expansionist state. It’s disgusting.

2

u/ExaminationWide5415 26d ago

Yeah, it sure as fuck isn’t really about antisemitism when they ignore evidence of actual antisemitism and insist that he must be cancelled for speaking against genocide.

Also note that fucking Heil Hitler Kanye West is performing at stadiums that Macklemore is banned at, which further points towards a lack of caring about actual antisemitism by those in charge.

Having said that, as dumb as banning Macklemore for his statements are, it's also very telling of much of the online "I'm antizionist not antisemitic" will literally find a hundred different ways to excuse almost any level of antisemitism as long as as you say free palestine as well. I will not be surprised by the end of the year, we see leftists embrace full on holocaust deniers like Candace Owens.

2

u/OkayCoward 26d ago

Maybe theres a connection between people's views of israel and this current conflict and the fact they'd dress up in jew-face. Hmmm

So I don't care about Ed sheeran. I literally couldn't name one of his songs. But... Everything I've read so far is that this was a management issue vs an owner issue. Basically Kraft said that he was banned from his stadiums, which in essence means the tour is over. So management kicked macklamore.

Now. Could Ed have said something to stop this? Probably not. These owners of these venues are totally insane. Same way live nation venues lock down everything. They hold the keys.

With that being said. He obviously should've issued a statement earlier and now he's fucked.

3

u/AdministrativeLeg14 26d ago

Well, the oligarchs owning the stadia are certainly the chief bad guys—they’re the ones demanding Macklemore be cancelled (not because of his history of antisemitism but) stated opposition to the Gazan genocide. Sheeran just sounds spineless.

1

u/Eris_AppleOfDiscord 26d ago

I looked up krafts statement and he said it was due to a history of hate speech and his actions. So he didn't specify what was offensive. Of course he didn't, because that would mean actually taking a position himself. The pr company that wrote his response did so intentionally, so he can also skate by without ever needing to actually possibly take a position on anythjng. It's slimy, and fucked up, and I also wouldn't doubt if he intentionally tried to shift blame onto Ed, because that's how these businesses operate. Easier to pin it on the artist and he takes the fallout as opposed to the business and his future enterprises.

And that's working pretty well. All the focus is on Ed

and it worked. contrary to the other guy complaining

1

u/Berry-Muncher 27d ago

Lol that's not the point. The word anti-semitism may have originated in German from a man who hated Jews, but it's a misnomer because many different ethnic groups apart from Jews are Semitic.

4

u/I_Makes_tuff 27d ago

Wait until you hear about Canadians and Mexicans calling us Americans. Don't they know they're Americans too?!

2

u/Berry-Muncher 27d ago

Nice try, but that's a very different situation.

  • Overall group: People from North and South America.
  • Specific group: People from the United States of America.

The word "America" is directly used in the name USA, so it makes sense for the word "American" to only refer to people from the USA in certain contexts.

On the other hand:

  • Overall group: Semitic people (those who speak Hebrew, Aramaic, Arabic, etc.).
  • Specific group: Jewish people.

The word "Semite" is not directly used in any term for Jewish people, so it does NOT make sense for the word "Semitic" to only refer to Jewish people.

→ More replies (5)

1

u/DavisSqShenanigans 27d ago

You're absolutely right about the origins of the word. But also, who gives af about the origin? Words change all the time. The intentions of random Germans 150 years ago at the height of european orientalism, a time when the only "semites" relevant to europeans would be the jews who lived in europe, have zero value whatsoever as to whether or not the word is the best word for the job today.

Just like people are drifting away from terms like "middle east", the world today is under no obligation to continue to use antiquated eurocentric terminology. And particularly other semitic people are under no obligation to continue to categorize themselves using the terms dictated to them by their colonial overlords of the past. As if it's not inherently antisemetic to use the word antisemetic to refer to hatred of a verrrrry tiny sliver of semites, while explicitly excluding the remaining 99% from consideration.

Imagine doing that with literally any other word and fighting so hard to not change it. Like if "anti-american" refered specifically to hatred of mormons. It's fine to update terminology. The point is communication. If people know what you mean by antisemetic, fine. If it introduces confusion, then there's nothing wrong with replacing it with a more communicative term like Judeophobia, like how we started using Islamophobia.

Either way, this is off topic here. The point is that nothing about the defense of zionism has ever been about combatting antisemetism or whatever we decide to call it. It's no different than all the other examples of settler colonialism that came before it. They might have used christianity to sell manifest destiny, but at the end of the day it was about the ruling class taking control of land and resources for their own benefit.

12

u/sybersonic 27d ago

To add, Israel originally stole the land from the Palestinians because they just didn't have anywhere else to go.

They kicked them out of their own residence, then genocide'd them because they used scraps to build a house in the backyard.

-1

u/FILTHBOT4000 27d ago

Sorry, this is ahistoric nonsense. The land was granted to Jews after the Ottoman Empire lost WW1 while being allied with Germany. They were trying to take land from others, conquer other countries, so part of the deal of losing is you lose some land to discourage you from trying that shit again. That's how war works. It wasn't "stolen".

The oldest structure in Jerusalem is the western wall. That wall was part of the temple built by Solomon who was king of Israel.

Do the Palstians deserve part of the region to call their own? Absolutely. But stop acting like Israel doesnt deserve the other part.

12

u/Southern-Antelope-63 27d ago

So if I commit a crime in my house and sell it for bail does that give my great great great great etc… grandchildren the right to come steal the house back because “my grandpa built it”? They left the region for a reason and now thousands of years later they come back and force literal hundreds of Thoisands of people out of their homes because “sky daddy says it’s mine”? Literally nobody wanted to take them in during WW2 so they convinced the Palestinians to let them “cohabitate” but they just took advantage of the people that let them in their own homes and literally waited for them to leave their houses so they could change the locks and kick the Palestinians out of their own houses. The Israelis have had thousands of years to assimilate with the rest of the world and continue to choose to believe they are quite literally better than everyone and take their shit while crying victim instead of make friends. No one feels bad anymore sorry.

1

u/SampleOfFruits 27d ago

Ok, why are you claiming that the Jews committed a crime? Second, you’re implying that the departure was voluntary (sold for bail, not forced out)

Neither is true, and honestly it’s getting very close to racism; blaming Jews for their own persecution and exile.

1

u/Vegetable-Ad-7184 27d ago

Well the reason the Jews left Israel was because they were rebelling against an occupying imperial power (Rome), lost, and then had the entire population forced  into slavery and scattered across Europe as a punishment.  The province was renamed from Judea to Palestine, after the Philistines, specifically to spite the then enslaved Jews.

I don't know how you would justify Palestinians struggling for self-determination on the one hand, but then call it a crime when the Jews did it before them.

And whereas many countries did in fact accept Jewish refugees in the lead up to and during WW2, Palestinians were in active revolt against the British administration, in large part because of the rapidly growing Jewish population that had re-established during Ottoman rule and to which European Jews had been migrating to since the late 1800s.  While not representing all Palestinians, the religious leader of Muslim Palestinians in Jerusalem (the Mufti) attempted to form an alliance with Hitler and raised a regiment of Palestinians for the Nazi SS.

27

u/DavisSqShenanigans 27d ago

Following the same religion as some people who lived in a place 3000+ years ago does not give you any right to the land whatsoever.

Besides the fact that at no point even 3000 years ago was the "promised land" (which is a biblical not historical concept) a homogenous place where everyone was one religion or ethnicity, there's also the fact that people/families/clans/etc whose religious beliefs evolved over the last 3000 years (which is 99.9% of people) have just as much right if not more to live somewhere than people whose families may or may not have lived there at some point, but if they did they emigrated thousands of years ago and decided to come back centuries-later.

Some "Italian-American" whose family left Italy 50 years ago AND CAN PROVE IT has no right to force a modern-day Italian family out of their home to take it over, let alone someone with some dubious claim from thousands of years ago. Someone who converts to norse paganism, or whose family did so at some point over the centuries, has no right to go to iceland or norway and set up a faith-based ethnostate at gunpoint.

All of this is entirely self-evident and not complicated to anyone whose brain isn't completely rotted out by zionism and other forms of racism.

10

u/BlackestOfHammers 27d ago

That’s not the same Israel and you know it

1

u/Zaki_242 27d ago

But it is the same Palestinians?

Many of the jews in those days were exiled by all the empires that conquered the region over the millenia.

But everyone is a hypocrite and only say Palestinians belong to the region, while both them and Jews do.

5

u/Jdigeoyxs 27d ago

No one said anything about Jews. You’re conflating. A lot of the Jews from the Israel of old converted to Islam, they are the same people. And some remained Jews or became Christians. Sorry, Europeans don’t deserve the land. They are not indigenous and are taking it by force.

1

u/SampleOfFruits 27d ago

FYI, most Jews in Israel are Mizrahi, who moved there from other Arab countries, not Europe.

→ More replies (0)

1

u/RegionFar8602 27d ago

No we are saying people who have CURRENT TIES TO THE LAND have rights to be there. I don't care if they were there a millennia ago. To displace and ethnically cleanse an indigenous (yes Palestinians are some of the indigenous populations)and current population is crazy.

We are horrified when ICE does it to migrants who have come and made lives for themselves and their communities in the short amount of time so why is it fine to displace a population who have clearly been there generations (if not longer)?

1

u/Zaki_242 27d ago

So it was ok when it happened to Jews in Israel but not ok when it happens to Palestinians. Got it.

Also the Palestinian population has increased since 1948 so the ethnic clensing isnt really working

1

u/Zaki_242 27d ago

Since you bring him up, curious how do you think Solomon would feel about what is occurring?

Also, is it Israels right to completely level all living things?

The oldest structure in Jerusalem is the Siebenberg House. This archaeological site dates back approximately 3,000 years, linking it to the time of King David and the First and Second Temple periods.

2

u/fastsailor 27d ago

So? There are ancient roman remains in Britain today. Should that fact mean that Italians have the right to come and use brutality to remove the British people from those lands and take the lands for their own use? No? So what is the difference to the situation in Palestine?

1

u/SampleOfFruits 27d ago

The Roman’s aren’t native to Britain, the Jews are native to Palestine.

It’s not a good example; do you have a better one?

1

u/SampleOfFruits 27d ago

Antisemitism is the word created for “Jew hatred”, because German antisemites wanted it to sound scientific.

Yes, technically, Palestinians are also Semitic people. But trying to downplay hatred of Jews by twisting the definition of antisemitism to extend beyond Jews is something modern antisemites do.

? i think i've lost the plot, what is it really about? is it, we attack anyone who calls us the bad guys bc it's not a genocide? sorry, i'm an internet old, and autistic; i'm struggling to keep track of all the sides and what they say they're doing and what they're really doing. :(

2

u/tsuness 27d ago

It's about the pro-Israel people not going after actual antisemitism and instead going after people who are going after Israel for the genocide and calling those people antisemites.

The big example being Kraft not calling his buddies who own other stadiums and having them stop an actual Nazi and Hitler sympathizer in Kanye West from performing.

1

u/ExaminationWide5415 26d ago

But it isn't for you either.

Macklemore basically dressed up to what is the equivalent of blackface, to a song about being cheap with money, and no one cares. The people who banned Macklemore clearly don't care about actual antisemitism, but on the other hand, unless it's a conservative, no one on the left will hold any level of antisemitism accountable.

People like Anna Kasparian making literal greedy Jew faces, Macklemore doing the Jewish equivelant of blackface, and no one cares, at all.

1

u/tsuness 26d ago

I imagine people cared when it happened and he apologized for it 12 years ago. Doesn't make it any less of an antisemitic caracature but those who cancelled him didn't complain until he said Free Palestine on stage and it was publicized.

1

u/Kichae 26d ago

Of course not. The Israelis have so thoroughly co-opted the idea of antisemitism that the world has forgotten that the Palestinians are a Semitic people. I mean, they're the people of Judea who stayed behind after the Jewish diaspora left. They just stopped being Jewish at some point...

100%. There’s nothing Zionists love more than mentioning Nazis, they would hate if you forgot about them.

60

u/catechizer 27d ago

Until you start comparing their actions with what the Nazis did. I'll never understand the people who think because the Nazis treated them that way, they now have the right to treat non-Nazis that way.

52

u/A-Literal-Nobody 27d ago

The fact that a group of people could endure multiple of their generations going through that kind of pain, and then turn around and inflict it on someone else is sickening.

49

u/lt_dt 27d ago

Israeli settlers are doing to Palestinians what was done to my Jewish family by the Nazis and complicit Poles in WW2. I can't be okay with that.

I think that there are two kinds of people in the world. People who experienced hardship and don't want subsequent generations to endure what they did, and people who experienced hardship and want subsequent generations to suffer as they did, or more.

There's actually maybe a third kind of person: those who've never known suffering and can't conceive that other people suffer.

4

u/Visible_Ad8628 27d ago

i was just thinking about this a lot lately. the older half of my siblings are the ones who think others deserve to suffer like they did, the younger half want to make the world a better place, doesnt want others to suffer as we did. i live in an abusive household

2

u/2The_Kaiserin2 27d ago

Funnily enough, that's true widely in my family… my dad and almost every of his siblings (3 of the 4) doesn't even try to make things better for their children. My younger sister has a motto saying "if I'm feeling bad, everyone around me feel bad and I'll make sure of it", and she actually makes everyone's day worse by annoying us because she had a bad day… on the other hand, I'm the eldest sibling and I always wished to make life easier for my family and friends around me and I regret giving my sister a childhood at the cost of mine. Divorce happened, I got parentified and I'm messed up as hell. My sister mever acknowledged my help with her and now she's doubling down on the bullying with me. Ungrateful brats…

5

u/Visible_Ad8628 26d ago

man, some people don't realize how lucky they are to have good older siblings. cos as the elder ones, you guys have more power which means you have more control (relative to the younger ones, generally speaking), which means if you happen to have older siblings like mine, you are basically doomed to suffer and there's almost nothing you can do about it.

I'm down to my last resort which is homelessness by choice. I've lived in the streets before, for months at a time, I know I can survive and I'm lucky to live in a country where being homeless can actually be better than living in an abusive household. And yea when I'm outside I don't feel nearly as fucked up as I do when I'm at home at the mercy of my family. I'm actually currently in the process of packing my stuff to leave, because having any kind of association with my family is making me mentally go insane.

Oh but I'm lucky to have an older brother who i can count on as an ally. remember I mentioned older half and younger half? well I'm the 6th child, which means i have exactly one older sibling (#5) who is the kind who don't want others to suffer like they did. He's fucked up because of the family and suffered more abuse than i did but he's always looking out for me and wants the best for me and I love him so much. honestly i think life would be hell without him

2

u/StabbyBoo 26d ago

I was going to say, the evidence to this idea is easily seen in small scale cycles of abuse. You either continue or break the cycle.

u/Used-Lake-8148 27d ago

That seeming paradox stems from the fact that the Zionists of Israel have always looked down on the Jews in the rest of the world and thought they deserved the holocaust. Not even kidding, look it up. It’s a really awful way of thinking that’s been fomenting over there. Zionists are not Jews. They just use Judaism as camouflage so they can cry antisemitism when people criticize their genocide.

1

u/CarsonJX 27d ago

Sort of like the SPLC then.

1

u/PlasticPhase 27d ago

Are you saying it would be a good thing to forget about the Holocaust? I'm confused by your comment but it sounds hateful to me.

4

u/TwoFingersWhiskey 27d ago

Cults in general love resistance, because it pushes members back into their arms. This is why so many send members out to preach and recruit. Violence against them only furthers their beliefs. But in the case of Zionists, they don't preach or recruit openly to outsiders. It's hard to become Jewish, and they've had legitimate hatred throughout history that is abhorrent and wrong.

Zionists prey within their own religion on otherwise regular Jewish people, to make them feel afraid and isolated (due to exploiting that hatred) without others "like them" to protect them... instead of them being a part of a wider world tapestry, they're told they have to go to this specific country because it's the only place that's safe.

Honestly the fact that Israel hasn't said anything about Germany's far right gaining steam, makes me think that if push comes to shove Israel and modern Nazis might end up settling their differences and joining together against the ones they both hate. It's not crazier than any of the other shit currently happening.

5

u/CommunistRonSwanson 27d ago

Black separatists used to meet with the white supremacist groups because they were in agreement in their opposition to multicultural democracy.

They actually kinda love and support the neo nazis

Least antisemitic 'I'm just anti-zionism' reddit user.

0

u/Aggravating_Depth_33 27d ago

And because Neo Nazis amplify Islamophobia in the West, which in turn increases support fof Israel in those countries.

1

u/OkFlatworm4151 27d ago

Sad but true

1

u/HitDifferentSwerve 27d ago

That's just like politics thou. In America, Republicans LOVE putting AOC on mailers and every Democratic text message is like "HELP! Your donation is what stands between FREEDOM and A DICTATOR".

In Europe I believe there's stricter regulations / standards for advertising / don't have a Supreme Court that can't tell the difference between speech & money.

No, the right wing doesn't give a fuck about Neo-Nazis. That doesn't stop with Likud.

2

u/MichaelJServo 27d ago

The real number is much higher. Any number lower than 100,000 is using the official, now defunct, health ministry count, which used only identifiable deaths. So it doesn't apply, say, to people who were in a building when it got bombed and were buried under the rubble, which is like 90% of standing structures. It also doesnt count people who have died of famine or disease secondary to having their country completely destroyed.

5

u/racc15 27d ago

Israelis don't give a fuck about jews or the holocaust. They just see it as a marketing tool.

1

u/Geologist_Horror 27d ago

Riiiight. This guy doesn’t realize that Israelis are Jewish. Wow Reddit is worse than I thought and that is saying a lot.

5

u/knuppi 27d ago

please don't read up on how Holocaust survivors are treated in Israel

1

u/racc15 27d ago

Israelis don't care what happens to jews outside israel. They are happy if neo nazis rise cause that strengthens their claims and propaganda. They do not care about making jewish lives outside israel safer or better. They don't care if jews in usa don't get healthcare as long as israel has free healthcare.

They will happily attack holocaust survivors who protest against Plaestinian genocide or against west bank israeli terrorists.

r/worldnews is an Israeli propaganda tool. I was banned for pointing out Israeli propaganda lies and the fact Israel kills children. I have since come to know many others were banned for the same reason.

I"m so sick of Israel trying to establish a media hegemony. Fuck Ed Sheeran, Robert Kraft, and Israel.

1

u/Sufficient-Sea-3192 27d ago

Israël are neo nazi

1

u/LurkerV1 27d ago

The real hard core Zionists actually want there to be more antisemitism so that they accelerate and fulfill old prophecies of the third temple and of Gog, Magog, Persia, Cush and other nations rising up to attack the “restored Israel” in the end times; and God will rise up and defend them and all that.

It's not like Hitler did anything truly antisemitic like boycotting Israel. Checkmate atheists.

Hitler never said anything good about Palestine, so no antisemitism

20

u/PheIix 27d ago

Antisemitism is meaningless at this point. It's now used as a shield against any and all criticism of Israel, they don't care if anyone hates jews, they just don't want people to criticise their actions.

Just to be clear.

Independent of all this, Macklemore is antisemitic.

1

u/NarcolepticSeal 26d ago

Ya'll really don't stop with this huh. Macklemore is not antisemitic. The only thing anyone can point to for this is him wearing a shitty costume in 2014, and then instantly apologizing and working with the ADL, who forgave him for it. He didn't say or do anything in the costume that validated it being an explicitly antisemitic costume.

In the 12 years since then, what else has he done that's antisemitic? Stand up against a far-right government murdering innocent people including thousands of children? He explicitly shows love to Jewish people, he is simply against what Israel is doing.

I'm pretty sure Netanyahu has a copy of Mein Kampf on his nightstand.

1

u/Adventurous_Drama291 27d ago

You see, according to Netanyahu, Hitler was actually a good guy until the Mufti of Jerusalem convinced him to do a genocide.

1

u/Sup3rPotatoNinja 27d ago

He did literally dress up onstage "as a Jew" with the fake nose and everything. He can be banned for other reasons.

1

u/Substantial_Egg_3603 27d ago

I had an awesome 50 year timeline streak going until 2020. I agree, this timeline sucks, especially suck for you younger guys. I'm voting to try and help you guys out. Hold in there, tje tide will turn.

1

u/ChongusTheSupremus 27d ago

Praising Hitler Is given a pass because it's the alt-right thing to do, for some reason.

1

u/ggclairobscur 27d ago

Just to make it more interesting, saying “free Palestine” to Netanyahu is the modern day equivalent of saying “Stop the holocaust!” To hitler. Imagine all the pop culture musical acts of the 40’s begging hitler to stop the holocaust. It wouldn’t even make it into his morning report lol. Sadly, I fear it’s quite the same with Netanyahu. It may give hope to Palestinians, however, or make them feel like they’re not alone, which is good. But let’s not pretend like Ed Sheeran was about to end the genocide/hatred/century old beef by canceling his tour

1

u/Relevant_Section 27d ago

I’m confused because Free Palestine crowd hates Israel (Jewish state) but also hates Hitler who hated the Jews? Idk what’s going on anymore

You're not understanding. Criticizing Jews is fine not an issue. Criticizing Israel is bad.

1

u/xesaie 27d ago

You realize Macklemore has a history with antisemitism right? He dressed up as an evil Jewish moneylender right out of a 1930s Nazi poster

1

u/Joshua_ABBACAB_1312 27d ago

The Apartheid Defense League literally tried to justify Elon's Nazi salute

1

u/MangakaInProgress 27d ago

But if you listen to the song its not literally praising Hitler.

1

u/Braindead_Crow 27d ago

Saying heil hitler proves antisemitism is real. This is good for propaganda.

Saying Gaza is being targeted by isreal in a genocide could turn people with critical thought against isreal which is bad for propaganda.

1

u/Rich_Housing971 27d ago edited 27d ago

It's not the timeline. Stop saying this. You may not realize it, but saying "it's just the timeline" means we're just NPCs with no control over anything and the greedy/stupid/evil/manipulated people already won.

You hate the decisions. You hate the organizations that chose greed. You hate them having money and power.

You can do something about it. It won't destroy them overnight, but you can start by researching who these organizations are and not give them any money. After all, they are entertainment and 100% not necessary, unlike stuff like transportation and food.

Don't like the venue owners? Refuse to not only go to the venue for any events, but any other venues they own. They own a lot of venues? They boycott all of them. You don't need to go to concerts. Save your money. If you give in, this will continue.

1

u/roblewk 27d ago

“Anti-Israel” is no longer anti-semitism.

1

u/Mental-Wolf-2560 27d ago

Do u remember macklemore dressing up in an antisemitic caricature of a Jewish person? I do.

1

u/fumbletumbler192 27d ago

Really isn't antisemitism - that's what the zios and the government of that SH want to be true

1

u/rydan 27d ago

Both can be antisemitism.

1

u/Extension_Canary3717 27d ago

Palestinians are also a Semitic , so killing them is also antisemitism

1

u/Redditauro 26d ago

To be honest I kind of appreciate the fall of the masks, it was exhausting to explain to people that Israel were the bad guys in Palestine for the last two decades

1

u/addys 26d ago

The difference is that one of them did it inside avenue during a paid performance - which exposes the venue and the organizers to liability. These are people with no moral or ethical standards whatsoever, but they *do* care about their bottom line.

1

u/Carolusboehm 26d ago

It's hard to comprehend, but Zionist fanatics want to define everything anti Israel as antisemitism, and bizarrely, anything that isn't anti Israel as not antisemitism.

1

u/saintripley 26d ago

Because one upholds and bolsters yt supremacy and the other also bolsters yt supremacy. It’s not about morales. It’s about control, power, and money.

I mean hitler was trying to get the Bolshevik’s out of his country that had been ravaged by their policies. Macklemore is also speaking out against that same bolshevik class (that has its own stolen country in the Middle East now, cool!)

1

u/ThatOneSteven 26d ago

Have you seen the game “Israel or Nazi” where you have to guess whether a quote was by a person in Israel’s government or a Nazi?

It’s a TOUGH game, I’m generally at 50% unless I specifically recognize the quote. And one time I thought I recognized the quote, but one or two words were shifted.

1

u/AcidaEspada 26d ago

its almost like a certain government is using bigotry as a screen and shield to continue enabling their war crimes and global propaganda

1

u/unknowingexpert69 26d ago

Macklemore went Jew face, then said lied and he didn’t know. He is obviously antisemitic

1

u/greenzetsa 26d ago

I am convinced the end goal here is to flood the conversation with calling nonsense antisemitism, while doing actual antisemitism, so that eventually you can't call anything antisemitism anymore, and also can't criticize the government.

1

u/sneezeonturtles 27d ago

I think it's a little unfair to say that people think he's antisemitic because he's criticizing genocide in Gaza.

I'd say he's antisemitic because of the whole:

To each their own, I guess.

2

u/Cleanngreenn 27d ago

The amount of people who blindly support Macklemore but haven’t seen this photo. It’s ok to condemn violence against both Israelis and Palestinians and war itself.

1

u/astrographer 27d ago

Note: That’s not why they’re accusing him of antisemitism. Which is both sad and hilarious.

1

u/No-Transition-8375 27d ago

That’s crazy. When did that happen?

1

u/limonade11 27d ago

The death of 1400 Israelis cannot equal the deaths of 64,000+ Palestinians. I stand with Gaza.
