Try This Deck Infinite with Jean Grey (no series 4 or 5 cards) CL:2369

Just got infinite only playing this deck! (From around 80 to 100)

It is a deck built around Goose and Jean Grey who can completely wreck combos. It naturally fits an almost full ongoing deck as they naturally like to stack up locations to buff each other instead of spreading out. Jean grey (and Nebula) force the enemy to stack as well, so they are playing into your strength (if you draw the cards 😭). Below I'll explain a bit how I played this deck etc. Feel free to skip it or skim through it if you are more experienced or don't care for it :)

Basic Ideas

The ideal line:

T1 Nebula

T2 Goose at another location

T3 Jean Grey with Goose

T4 Add Captain America/Mojo/Antman/Luke Cage

T5 Ironman the Nebula location or third location (if jean grey location is stacked)

T6 Spectrum on Ironman or Negasonic and whatever

You need to win the Jean Grey location so if it looks shaky you play Spectrum T6 which won me so many games. If it looks safe you can just comfortably play Ironman or Negasonic or whatever you want to win.

Remember!!: the enemy, just like you, can't play cards that cost 4 or more on the Goose location so you don't need to be scared of big powerswings by your opponent. Unless they play Loki or something similar to you.

If the enemy has no cards that cost 3 or less they can play a card at the other locations. Which is okay because we want to win the Goose lane either way. This is where Ironman can help a lot.

You can also play Goose without Jean grey to deny combos. Goose on a Wong lane can be strong. (Not against Silver Surfer!!)

You can also play Jean Grey without Goose. Adding Ironman on T5 as the last card there to win the Jean Grey lane is needed.

Sometimes if I play Nebula and don't draw Jean I play Mojo on the Nebula lane as they will probably stack the lane to deny Nebula.

I feel like it is important to get a good read on the opponent's deck and possible plays in order to win with this deck as it makes use of disruptive cards and effects. So this is not an autopilot deck.

Decks that naturally spread out can beat this deck. For example silver surfer or swarm. But if they are greedy with Wong you may have a chance with superskrull into Spectrum which can be huge points.

Flexible card slots

Shadow King

It's not an ongoing card but good in this meta against Zombies, vampires and skillspam. Anti synergy with Nebula, keep that in mind. I think Cosmo would otherwise be a better tech card as it synergizes being an ongoing card.

Superskrull

I do think it is kinda essential as it single-handedly can give you a good chance against destroy, mister negative and tribunal decks. Also makes ongoing mirror matchups better. So I think it is essential in order to win more consistently with this deck but not to the gameplan I guess.

Negasonic

Kinda nice for a bunch of reasons. Just fits nicely into this control type of deck. Not part of your primary game plan but very good in securing or locking down a location if you read the opponent correctly.

Luke Cage

Good synergy as it is an ongoing card and low cost so helps with filling up the Jean grey deck, even if it is low power. But also a great Tech card in this meta and upcoming I believe as power-steal will become more rather than less.

I did try a version with some guardians like Groot but the ongoing synergy with Spectrum and the tech cards felt way better. Still if you lack some cards, Guardians of the Galaxy can be good temporary fillers I think.

Closing thoughts

I do think cards like Moonstone, Captain Carter, Goliath, Sam Wilson could probably make the deck better. I don't own them though which is why I didn't use them. Also I have only seen Enchantress twice, so I think her in a tech card slot is not very common rn, hence maybe boosting the success of this deck!

TL;DR

Fun little budget Jean Grey plus Goose ongoing deck. Happy to hear your thoughts or ideas or improvements towards the deck.

Also if you have another version of this deck or similar ones or better ones please do share!

Btw the third screenshot contains gameplay stats if interested.

Deck list is in the comments.

Try This Deck Both Killmongers and HellCows in one deck! CL 37K

Had a lil bit of fun deck building for this week’s weekend mission and put this thing together. It can get stupid big, as well as making their stuff smol. I originally ran Headpool in this, but sometimes his buff would mess up Muramasa shard being one power for end of turn Hellcow FF destroy. Venus feels necessary in this, since she’s the glue between taking cards like awesome Andy, Nova, and Scorn from being mid to being game winning. There are only two on reveals in this deck so play your Killmonger on the opposite side of your Daken if possible so you can choose which you want to retrigger later. Bullseye can clear your hand of whatever spears or shards or scorns you may have left in hand.

Honestly I could see a bunch of different cards fitting in this, even get bold and do a fantomex type build since you are destroying and discarding, and the Jocasta Fantomex combo is quite deadly. I just wanted to fit the theme of both cows and mongers!

Infinite Climb to Infinite (CL:15.7k)

Continuing the streak. Always fun to look at the Meta and give thoughts to the void. Maybe it’ll help someone.

Immediate Meta thoughts:

This is probably the most diverse meta I’ve gotten to play since starting the game. There are probably a solid 5-6 decks that I would consider S tier, and another 6 or so I would say are A tier and can decently keep up with the meta.

Shadow King and Möbius are very strong in the current meta as a response to all of the Vampire Killmonger decks running around (including the zombie variants). Möbius is a great answer to Superior Iron Man / Scarlet QoC / Sasquatch shells. Stardust is less strong due to drops in AP Magneto.

I was really worried that the Gambit HoD nerf would make him unplayable, but Gambit HoD + Scarlet QoC means he’s almost always online. And with so many decks running VKM or Zombie shells, being able to snipe their tallest creatures always felt incredible.

Some thoughts on the decks I used to climb:

Superior Iron Man was great in the early meta. Not as many Möbius were running around, but around day 3-4 people caught on that it also shut down Scarlet QoC, so I ended up swapping off for the version above. Gambit HoD, as mentioned earlier can shut down quite a few decks. Making copies of Iron Man can be very strong and catching people off guard with a free Shield Throw from QOC felt incredible.

As I saw more Möbius, I moved into a Marvel Boy + Venus package that utilized the extra value from Vampire Killmonger. It really felt like it helped me go à but wider than people would expect. I love Kahorri and hoped she would be playable, but that slot probably wants to be Bishop at which point I would probably change the shell more to be in line with the VKM + JQF lists. These lists struggle against SK which is everywhere, so smart snapping is important. It should be known, this deck hates Fantomex, so retreat as soon as you can figure it out. Killmonger is a menace.

That Sinister Six list is surprisingly resilient. And i guess still catches some people out though I figured it was more of a known entity by now. Sometimes just getting your venom big enough is more than enough to help secure a win.

And I also wanted to shout out my favorite archetype. The Ozymandias + Techno Virus deck ended up being a blast to play and would definitely catch plenty of people off guard. Ultimately was the deck that took me into infinite with some surprise 8 cubers. Getting around all of the SK running rampant is nice. There is a world where you potentially run Patriot as backup, but this list felt strong enough.

Strategy CL 21,445 Galacti is the new negative deck

I used to grind infinite every season with negative but took this season down with galacti. Its very similar to negative when you get the proper set up, you blowout your opponent. Similar to negative, you destroy bots because you slam the board last turn. The new spell deck is really annoying with an early kill monger, be very cautious against that deck because it can also get rid of limbo. Some decks are also playing the new rogue so be careful.

Would play stick but I do not have, play it instead of nico.

Infinite infinite thanks to cube rush (CL: 20,921)

Thumbnail

Went from 94 to 100 today thanks to the cube rush using only this deck. I used variations from 80-90 but this is the one that really got me there winning 3 back to back 8 cube games.

It may look familiar, featured in Cougarrr's video series on youtube, whom he featured someone named "Craig" (a high infinite player and 'possible' content creator?) so credit goes to both of them rather than me, except for one card.

So in the video he uses Drax avatar of life, and no hate to that card because I love it, but it didn't quite hit the correct numbers for me to include it. Wilson is a weird inclusion but considering the meta being mainly killmonger stuff, they don't quite hit 4 power on turn 2, that and you cannot shadow king a wilson fisk, you also can't mobius a turn 3 wilson fisk. Also yes many games I played thinking he was still 9 power. If you can play him on 3, always play him on 3. You can lose priority later, but you need it for your turn 4 stardust to play against jubilee nonsense.

The only deck that fully plays around this one (and crushes it relatively consistently) is TOV variations. I could imagine C3 would be difficult also if I ever saw it. The rundown of what I would usually do is:

turn 1: Skip; Echo if I'm feeling lazy or the first lane is something silly like onslaught citadel.

turn 2: Cable for information (or invisible woman in the left safe side lane ONLY if wilson is in my hand)

turn 3: Wilson > mobius > gambit (yeah, gambit on 3 if you have priority against killmonger decks AND ONLY if killmonger is the only thing on the board, they try to copy him, so he needs to die).

turn 4: Stardust > captain marvel > killmonger+echo

turn 5 and 6: It gets messy from here, but it depends on your opponent's boardstate. You need to hit some of the numbers from the earlier turns to have a fighting shot in a lot of games. Sometimes you want to play echo then invisible woman in a safe side lane (preferably with priority), sometimes just invisible woman and shadow king. Mobius is a great turn 5 alongside cable if you suspect they mother askani + wingbeat, however they will retreat, so if you predict correctly you need to snap before turn 4 or 5.

Leave a space open in the center lane. Try not to place your onreveals in the side lanes unless you want to grandmaster them. Never use shadow king early, they will either retreat or outpoint you on the final turn.

Try This Deck KILL HAND (CL: 31k)

Post image

Went 5-1 at the recent Golden Gauntlet with this deck (only lost to a C3 running Armor😑) and has a strong win rate on ladder 💥

With the low curve of this deck we have plenty of chances to buff Vampire Killmonger - just be sure to NOT play him into the same lane as an opposing Horde in case you need to play Shadow King. JTF is replaceable (maybe for Collector?) but is obviously great for getting extra power onto VK, and even better if you can Frigga the first VK for double vampire goodness! 🦇🦇

We're also playing Gambit Horseman Of Death, who is VERY strong against horde stuff. We can copy him with Frigga or copy his ability with Prodigy for maximum destruction. Snowguard Hawk & Bear, the 6-cost card from Valentina, a Frigga copy, the Scarlet Witch QOC skills, and the Vampiric Spears can all contribute towards Gambit HOD's objective 💀

Victoria Hand to buff created cards, Quinjet to reduce costs, Shadow King and Shang Chi for tech!

Give it a try! 👍

Deck:

Quinjet
Snowguard
Vampire Killmonger
Victoria Hand
Joaquin Torres Falcon
Valentina
Frigga
Prodigy
Scarlet Witch Queen Of Chaos
Shadow King
Shang Chi
Gambit Horseman Of Death

Infinite Infinite with SIM and Victoria Hand (CL: 5858)

Been having a blast with this deck, it’s gone through several iterations but this one has been feeling the best. Get a discounted/buffed SIM and copy it a bunch, or just copy Victoria Hand a couple times and it wins on turn 6 out of nowhere. Missing a couple pieces that would be nice like Iron Patriot, and I’m not 100% sold on Phastos and base Iron Man, but overall this has been my favorite brew.

Looking for deck [Unknown] How to play this deck? (CL 2,500)

Browsing Snap Complete, this deck is listed as the best win rate with my cards -1 since the OTA. It looks highly disruptive, but I'm not experienced with so many what I'd consider "tech" cards.

What is the win condition? What is Invisible Woman used for? If I don't have Drax, is there a reasonable substitute?

Strategy Is C3 still meta this season? [CL: 15,930]

I have tried C3 and C4 decks this season, a couple different variations with limited success. C2 and C3 have been the only ways I've ever made it to Infinite in the past, definitely my favorite type of deck.

What do you guys think? Is it dead this season? I have been getting killed lol
