Discussion Rip🌸My Angle - Charlie 💔🥺
I lost my 9-year-old dog today due to parvovirus.
The last 12 days have been the hardest I've ever lived through. Every day was spent taking him to the vet, getting fluids, glucose, antibiotics, and hoping that each new day would be the day he finally got better.
He stopped eating, became so weak that he couldn't walk anymore, but he still looked at me every time I sat beside him. He still drank water on his own, and I kept telling myself that meant he was still fighting.
Today he passed black, bloody stool, and a few hours later, he was gone.
I keep replaying everything in my head, wondering if I missed something or if there was anything else I could have done. I don't know if that feeling will ever go away.
He wasn't just a pet. He had been with me for years. He was there through good days and bad days, and now the house feels strangely quiet without him.
I'm literally crying, my tears aren't stopping , for me you are still with us
Rip 💔
Last year I lost my grandmother and now today i lost another family member
I'm shivering rn

Many may judge me for what I'm about to say. But I am pretty clear in my head. And I'm at an age where some opinions have simply stopped mattering.
My dad had a prolonged progressive incurable illness. He worsened slowly, in phases, over 8 years. Until his body couldn't go on any more. And I know, believe it or not, what it's like to say "if it's time, so be it". It'd been my prayer for the last few months. He was suffering bitterly. We gave him every treatment Dr.s recommended. But we knew his condition wasn't reversible. We knew.
People may judge me for comparing my dad with "a mere pet". And I couldn't care less about their opinions. Your pet is family. I think you felt something similar u/Visual-Director-9537.
