Tips Just wondering

If she is happily married and she lets me smell behind her right ear, Is that cheating? If I get turned on because she smells as sexy as I think she does is it still ok? Is that crossing the line? Can someone tell us where the line is?

Tips What should I do? Pls help

I was seeing this guy for about two weeks, and we went on around four dates. I genuinely really liked him as a person. He was kind, caring, respectful, made me feel safe, and from everything he said and did, he seemed to want a serious relationship. I felt like we had a lot in common and that we could actually be compatible in a relationship.
The problem was that I didn’t really feel physically attracted to him. I wasn’t repulsed by him or anything, but the attraction just wasn’t there. On our fourth date, we kissed and things became more intimate, and we ended up going to his place. We didn’t have sex, but we did make out and there was some touching. And that same night, I told him that I thought we should stop seeing each other because I wasn’t feeling the romantic/sexual attraction I thought I should be feeling.
He was actually very respectful about it, which made me feel even worse because I really did like him as a person. We agreed to cut contact and leave things as they were.
It’s been about a week now, and I’ve been thinking about it a lot. I’m starting to wonder whether I made the decision too quickly. I keep thinking about how well we got along, how safe and comfortable I felt with him, and how he had so many of the qualities I’d want in a partner. I don’t suddenly feel physically attracted to him, but I do feel like we genuinely fit together as people, and I’m wondering whether attraction could possibly grow with time.
He’s also leaving soon for three months for work. I’m considering texting him and asking if he’d be willing to meet once before he leaves, just to talk in person. I don’t want to lead him on or make him think I’m suddenly asking to get back together, because I honestly don’t know what I want yet. I just feel like I may have closed the door too quickly and I don’t want to regret not giving it another chance to see how I feel.
Would it be unfair or confusing to contact him again after I was the one who ended things and we agreed to stop talking? Or is it reasonable to ask to meet once and have an honest conversation?

Tips A girl messaged me to practice flirting… then disappeared...😂

So I recently made a post about being rusty at flirting, and a girl actually messaged me saying she wanted to practice flirting too.

We talked for a bit and had some fun with it, but then… nothing. 😂 I guess I managed to bore her somehow.

So, people of r/flirting, what am I doing wrong?

What are some simple things I can do to keep a conversation fun and interesting, especially when I’m still trying to improve my flirting skills?

Be honest. I can take it 😂

Tips Guys, it was soooo cooollll!

Okay, so I am obliviously cordial even to grumpy-pants folks. I always make sure to let anyone I interact with see that I value their being there, 'specially at my regular haunts. I know the rules, having worked cs positions, and never would I initiate anything other than Convo pertaining to my patronage. On the other hand I found myself the recipient of a compliment from a clerk that I have gotten a bit familiar with over that last good while and it made my day.

No, scratch that, it made my frikkin' season! She told me that she had noticed how long my hair was getting, and wondered if it was difficult to keep it looking so "soft and yummy" her literal words. I told her that since I had grown up helping lil Sis do hers before school, 'cuz Mom had a commute from hell and I was the oldest I got a cheat code for when I finally got the nerve to grow mine.

She instantly began beaming, and professed solemnly: "Big bros are awesome. Even if she didn't say it, that meant more to her than you even realize." I didn't even realize what I was saying when I responded that when our sisters hair was as gorgeous as hers was, it was our job to keep it looking perfect. Plus it was easier than beating up kids for making fun of my crooked French braids. Then we stopped laughing and stood there staring at each other for like twenty seconds. Like completely effortless smiling appraisal of the shared moment, at least on my side.

A week later, as I'm walking in, I glance over at the counter to see if she might be in, and lock eyes with her as it seems like she's up to the same thing. Then she whips her head around so fast that it makes her mid-back length hair fan out like a shimmering wave of molten gold. Soooo awesome, but not enough to distract me from the look of mortified embarrassment mingled with a cute lopsided scrunched up smile of unadulterated happy that was so damn manga that I swear to gosh I murmured fufu under my breath as I jerked my head to the angle the absolute furthest direction from where she was and tossed up the over the shoulder wave saying not a word. Am I wrong for planning to ask her if we could get together. I know she is going to say yes, because she asked the gm for permission to do just that. Since I've known the gm since primary school, I kinda had a cheat code for seeing if I was delulu. I keep freaking myself out though, and wanting to make the ask some big perfect deal like the way we realized that we vibed. What the hell, people, do I need to make a power point of options for us to hang out or should I just ask if she wants to grab a sno cone and walk through the green belt. Or something extravagant? HELP!!!

Tips Bad at flirting, send your best tips

Hi everyone, honestly, I've never been good at flirting, and there's this guy I'd like to take things further with. I should mention he's neurodivergent. I've already asked him what it means flirting. But as I mentioned, I find flirting complicated. Does anyone have experience with this? How do you flirt as a woman? I ask because it's usually the man who takes the initiative, but I want to do it

Tips Cashier at gas station, flirting?

I (21F) am a regular at a gas station here in my town. I used to stop in after work, twice a week if not more. The same guy was always working. It started as friendly small talk. The whole how’s your day going, can I help you find anything else, The normal.

Important to note: I would always go with my ex roommate, as we inseparable at the time. Also 80% of the times I see him I’ve had a bit to smoke. Typically when I go to the gas station it’s because I have the munchies.

Normal turned into jokes and actual conversations. He would ask me what I do for work, what my plans are for the evening, etc.

I remember the turning point of me and my roommate questioning if he was flirting, was he had asked me if there was anything else he could get for me. The question didn’t register in my head, and before I could respond he said “You.” And When I looked at him confused he just looked around awkwardly and said it was a joke.

Then a couple weeks later I was short 4 dollars on my items and paid for them completely, I was just going to put my drink back and only get gas. Well no he paid for it. All of it. 25 dollars worth of gas and my pop.

I started going less, because I was struggling with money, so I wasnt buying the unnecessary drinks and snacks. In turn I saw him less and less.

One day I went in and he was training someone. We did a normal banter, and as I was leaving he called after me that I better be safe. And then when I was getting in my car he was talking to the trainer and they were both looking at me.

Fast forward to a couple days ago, I just went in during the day and saw him for the first time after at least a month. He immediately recognized me and called me over to his register. We did normal greetings and then he asked me where I’ve been. I explained that I’m working thirds now, so I’m asleep since he switched to days.

He said and I quote “Well, there goes the bar trip.”

I was so flabbergasted, I just awkwardly laughed, my face turned bright red. And I didn’t know what to say. He laughed too, and continued talking which I really appreciate because I’m not used to such boldness. Before I left he made sure to tell me his normal schedule, and I can’t help but think that was him telling me to come while he’s there.

Here the thing I’m struggling with. I know nothing about him, I don’t even know his name. My friends and I dubbed him Gas station guy. I don’t know how old he is or anything. He looks to be my age, maybe a bit older than me.

My dilemma: I have no idea how to take him up on the offer of a date if that’s what he was offering. I have never had someone just flirt with me in public. I also am mind blown because he typically sees me when I look a mess. So what do I do? Is he even flirting? Just being a friendly funny cashier? Help

Tips How to flirt with older women

Me being 19 (almost 20) started talking with a 28 y.o. woman, never flirted with anyone so much older than me. I try to give subtle hints and she doesn't catch on and I'm not the type to be super direct. Any tips?

Tips I have the flirting skills of a wet cardboard box. Help?

Hey everyone. I’ve realized recently that I am completely "flirt-blind." I can have a great conversation, but the second I try to show interest, I either get terrified and shut down or I say something so awkward it kills the vibe.

Girls, what are the subtle things guys do that actually work? And more importantly, what are the "green flags" that tell you a guy is interested without him being a total creep? Teach me your secrets - I’m a lost cause.

Tips Flirtarious body language and good posture are essential components of flirting.

Flirting is often misconstrued as throwing witty and smooth lines at someone you are interested in, being playful and teasing and while that is important, people oftentimes ignore the dominant role of body language and posture as well.

Straight posture without slouching, open, relaxed and expansive body language, getting closer, strong eye contact, smirking, light touching and even gently touching yourself, animated gestures when speaking, mirroring their body language and expressions and talking slower and deeper are some powerful methods of indicating interest without saying a single word.

Flirting should best be undertood as a shield against rejection, attraction is mostly random, instant and immediate for most people (it can only be amplified if it already exists, it doesn't really grow over time, that's pretty much a myth), so flirting directly and overtly is a good way to gauge interest and immediately move on it there's no reciprocation.

Flirting doesn't build attraction, attraction can't be created, it just signifies on whether it exists in the first place, saving both people's time as a result.

Remember that your time is the most valuable asset, don't spend weeks trying to "get to know" someone who might not even be interested in you, so flirt right away and and move on if there is lack of interest and reciprocation.

Tips What can I do to escalate

I (F) have been flirting with a coworker (M) for a whole now and when saying good bye he held out his hand, I didn't know where this was going but I took it and he just held my hand for a few seconds before letting go and left. I was very flustered and dropped my keys, which he heard and jokingly said "you 'need to focus". Now I want to get back at him and leave him as flustered as I felt earlier, what is a good way to do this ?

Tips I Do not know how to flirt.

Hello, I'm almost 28M.. and well maybe I used to be good at flirting, not great, but good.. but certainly not anymore. When I see a good flirt I realise it and say wow that's good line or something like that, but if it were me in the situation I wouldn't know how to come up with it. So my real question is, how do I learn how to flirt with women as a guy..? I find it really hard, sometimes I wonder if I'm socially inept guy who is incapable of learning, but I sure hope not!

Men, what would make you know a woman was interested in the wild? Making eye contact and smiling? That could be easily confused for a platonically interaction so that doesn’t seem clear enough, to me at least. How would you prefer a woman makes herself available if she sees someone attractive in every day life (coffee shop, trail, etc)? Any success stories? Or have dating apps ruined us?

Tips Leave a note on his car? Advice for an anxious girl that struggles with social anxiety...☹️

hey, apologies in advance for grammatical mistakes, english is my second language. Pls do ignore!

So there is this guy at the vocational school . I only know him through seeing, I do not know anything about him unfortunately beside the car he is driving and his appereance ofc. I feel insanely drawn to him and I want to get to know him so badly. I don't know why I'm drawn to him, this don't happen often to me. Usually I'm not even interested in guys I randomly see outside.

However...but it's impossible for me to approach him or talk to him directly. I have huge social anxiety and struggles in making contact with ppl in general. Approaching strangers, regardless of the gender is not possible for me! :-( Unless the other person is making the first step. Beside of that I don't have a body type that typical men would find appealing so the chance is very high, that I'll get rejected by him. Or even get a nasty remark from him, as in what makes me think that I actually would have a chance with him. Or that I am not not feminine enough for him. However..So I was playing with the thought to leave him an anonymous note on his car? But how would that come off? He is in his early 20's I think, like me. I'm 21. He definitely must be older then 18 because we live in germany and ur only allowed to drive a car by your own if ur older then 18. And he got a full beard so definitely in his 20s. **Question for a guy in a similar age? How would you feel to get a mysterious note from a person? What do I write on the paper note? I don't want him to think that it's a scam or some sort of joke. Becuz in our country ppl usually stick notes to other cars if they are interested in buying it or if there was an accident. Love notes are not that quite common.

Ideas what to write? Or maybe other advice on what to do? I don't want to write my phone number on it rather discord name I think that would be better. Also should I get straight to the point that I find myself drawn to him and want to get to know him or would it be better to think of a made up question, not directly saying that I left him the note bc I'm interested in him.....? Should I say that I am a girl or better not. Also better handwriting note? Or a printed computer word note?**

Help pls 🥺🥺 Now the school is 1 week closed due to easter vacation and I cannot leave the note that quickly. And I'm going insane every day bc I cannot get him out of my head and have daydreams abt him all day long, and I do not feel well at all :((
