Wait, what? What could they possibly even gain from these?

Although, a conspiracy like theory could be Russia is desperate for money and China offered a good price to spread anti-India propaganda. Just a shower thought tho.

Just create a socio-cultural divide between India and USA. The more Americans hate Indians, the more they project that hate IRL.

But it’s nuts. Activity on American Politics subreddit dramatically lowered too.

It affected inside India too. Many Indians here view indian culture as inferior with respect to western culture.

Did any account which were very active in spreading propaganda became silent during this phase?

That would require digging through, a lot of profiles. The problem is they can be brought back, but since Ukraine is vowing to absolutely destroy Yandex and other Russian data centers, bot farms will be affected even more.
