discussion Where does this eye come from?

Post image

This eye is basically one of the standard weirdcore/dreamcore elements since its early days, it has been used everywhere and it's an easy way to make an image make the viewer uneasy, but latelt I've been wondering. Where did it come from?

I think I know the origin if I’m correct, I’ve done some research and a ton of people are claiming it’s from a 1066 comedy movie called “The Russians are coming, the Russians are coming”. I’m not sure if it’s correct but take it into consideration and do the research you need.

i don't think it is the eye because I watched a video of the intro and it doesn't look the same.
