Candidate AMAs

Vancouver mayoral candidates, council candidates, and Provincial election candidates are welcome to reach out via modmail to arrange a verified AMA. Candidates from other locations are welcome to contact the team and request a crosspost of their AMA from a city-specific subreddit, depending on demand (mayoral candidates and Provincial election candidates only).

We welcome all political affiliations as long as our rules are respected. AMAs held on the sub are capped at one per weekday, and capacity is limited. First come, first served. Review our guide on AMAs and then reach out to the mod team to verify your account and arrange a time.

Discussion Alternatives for /r/vancouver?

Given that Reddit will be discontinuing RSS, old.reddit.com, and the public API's soon, I won't be using their service for much longer.

Anyone know of alternative places where Vancouverites might gather?

Lost/Missing Keys and Garage Remote Stolen with Bike Bag

Hi, just posting here in case of any leads since it will be less inconvenient for me if the keys are found.

My scooter was left unattended for 3 minutes on Victoria Drive today and someone snatched the carrying pouch attached to the front of the handlebars while leaving the scooter untouched.

It was some cheap-ass Aliexpress pouch that said WILDMAN on it and inside it was a garage remote (which I disabled now) and a set of keys. The keys are on a Lexus lanyard, have a blue tracking chip (you can NFC it and it will alert me), and a TWICE keychain lol

If anyone sees them, please send a DM or comment. The tracker was last spotted at 3:38 north of where it was stolen so I assume the guy hopped the 20 bus and went northbound. I hope they realized this was of no value and they ditched it somewhere. Or they left it on the bus (I already filed a report with Translink, etc), I would hope that someone turns it in, or the bus driver does.

Thanks in advance.

Lost/Missing Lost JBL Earbuds in Evo (Plate: KL2 46A)

Hi guys, I left my JBL earbuds in an Evo (licence plate: KL2 46A). If anyone here drives Evo frequently and happens to have seen them, please DM me!

They’re blue and have a mini screen on the charging case. I know it’s a long shot, but it’s worth a try. I’d really appreciate any leads. Thanks!
