Here comes cycle #5. It's our last cycle trying this year as we've decided to stop until next summer so I can lose 60-100lb and honestly, so many of my friends who struggled to conceive the first time got pregnant either without trying or the first cycle with their second. I was really hoping it'd be that way for us too after our first took nearly a year but it's not looking good because there's been nothing besides our CP, what-would-have-been April baby 🌈🥺 on cycle #2.
We want 3-5 and at this point, I'm hoping we make it to 3 because with no village, 2 years between kids is the minimum we can do to maintain sanity, my personal health, and give them the attention they need. And I want to be done by 40.

CD8 today and didn’t do any meds this cycle since my husband is leaving on Saturday. Last chance to have sex before he leaves will be Friday night so CD12, and since this is a regular cycle I have no clue when to expect ovulation. Might already be out this cycle but fingers crossed CD12 will cover us enough.

i’m feeling sad and impatient. This game i’m playing with my cycle every month is starting to get irritating. I just wish I had a predictable cycle where I know i’ll ovulate on day whatever rather than this PCOS clusterfuck. I’m so tired of tracking LH, seeing it rise, and feeling hopeful only for it to go back down the next day. Does anyone have any tips on ovulating earlier in the cycle with PCOS? I am still breastfeeding my toddler 1-2 times a night so I wonder if that’s still affecting ovulation? i’m on CD 17 now. Having some slippery and watery cm but it’s not ewcm so I know ovulation isn’t imminent. I already take metformin and a prenatal. I try to eat a balanced diet and don’t eat a lot of sugar in general. Although I have been having more sugary desserts this cycle to cope with the irritation of yet another round of trying. I am just over it.. and I can’t get out of it. I can’t just “not think about it”. I’m either all in or nothing

My OB had recommended a Chromium supplement when I had a bad reaction to Myo-inisitol and I did not want traditional fertility meds. I take it daily and ovulate typically around day 14-19 when I am on it. When I forget it or dont take it I ovulate closer to somewhere between day 27-55.

The only thing that helped me ovulate earlier was ovulation meds. Also zepbound 😅 it’s been pretty consistently CD 14 +/- a day or so but much more predictable than without. I was on metformin as well and every supplement under the sun for PCOS but only letrozole/clomid and zepbound made any difference to my cycle. Weaning never affected my cycle but we weren’t TTC when I weaned so it wasn’t a big deal to me either way.

Wow metformin made me feel awful. The worst year of my life was on that stuff.

Ah thank you. Unfortunately in the UK they won’t refer me to a fertility clinic as I already have 1 child 🙄 i’m sure stressing about it won’t make my periods any shorter

I got them from my OBGYN! I know America is different healthcare wise so not sure if that’s helpful for you or not😅

Is there a reason you want to ovulate earlier? CD17 is fairly normal. I was CD18-21 before my first and am now at CD16-17 (before the chemical, anyway...). The average is closer to CD16 anyway

since 2023 my periods have been 40-90 days long. before that they were more regular around the 30 day mark. The cycle i got pregnant with my daughter would’ve been 33 days (the shortest cycle i had in a while). Since I got my periods back PP they’ve been around 60-33 days, the 33 days cycle being the one I had my chemical. I just feel like my chances of conception would be better with a shorter cycle + tracking is driving me crazy :( I hoped going on metformin would make them more regular, like it did in the past

I see. My first was on cycle 9 on a random CD30 ovulation that was delayed due to traveling across the country for a wedding lol.
Have you talked about Myo Inositol with your doctor (it makes me ovulate later though...I think it's only for a certain type of PCOS) and eating higher protein? That's what I do, though I'm coming off of being ill so I've basically subsisted on saltine crackers for a bit.
Hoping we all get good news soon 🤞🏼

First cycle since I weaned on the first! Just finished my period, CD7. Now time to wait for ovulation…it’s been creeping earlier each cycle so I hope it normalizes soon! Last cycle was CD21. Anyone have improvement in luteal phase after weaning? My periods have been arriving at 9 dpo 😭

Looking for advice or hope. Has anyone ever tested negative on 11-12 DPO? But then ended up getting a positive ? I’m very sad right now and I’m hoping I just tested too early or don’t have enough HCG TO SHOW… I’ve lost hope. Convinced I am not pregnant. It’s a whirlwind of emotions. My expected period is the 15th….

Anytime I’ve gotten a positive test later than 10dpo it’s been a chemical pregnancy. 😔

CD21 and this morning I got my crosshairs for the original ovulation date I was confident in! Which means I’ve been stressing over Nothing. I let my anxiety Spiral this cycle, but I’m over the O hump and I’m much better sitting on my hands and waiting to see if my period arrives or not. 4DPO today. Next cycle my goal is to mentally be more patient and not doom thinking and to incorporate LH strips and to just have fun with it frankly, my husband and I haven’t had this much sex in a year+, I forgot how much fun it can be.

Happy Monday fine people! I posted yesterday that I was sick. Good news - I’m on the mend. Bad news - we got in an insane car wreck yesterday where a driver hit us at full speed from behind while we were completely stopped. My car is likely totaled because the airbags deployed and the tailgate is caved in. At the ER getting checked, they had me take a pregnancy test as a precaution because I needed imaging, and I was like “I’m preeeetty sure I’m not pregnant” but wouldn’t that be something if I found out there that I was? Lol.

Ugh we had a car accident like this 2 years ago and it was so devastating 😔 it’s so unfair to just be minding your business to then be losing your car. And the expense of new car seats is also so frustrating!

Would be quite the story that’s for sure! Glad yall are ok, that is so scary and I know must add more undue stress. I work in insurance and I say all the time to my clients “we can fix vehicles all day, that’s why you have insurance.” It’s going to be alright, I hope your insurance company is swift to pay out and yall can find a new vehicle that works for you!

Out for this round. It's start of cycle 7 including a mmc cycle 3. I dreamed last night my toddler peed on all the pregnancy tests and cut the part that absorbs pee with the "safety scissors."
