5 weeks, 4 days and my OB’s office didn’t schedule my first ultrasound or appointment for 6 more weeks 😩

Oh goodness, I missed your BFP announcement! Congratulations, and I'm sorry you have such a long wait, I know it's agonizing. Hoping for all good news when you get there. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

12+3 today and finally have started telling folks (mainly because it’s still 80 degrees by me and I can’t hide the bump without a sweater). One part of me feels good about it and I loved seeing both sets of grandparents so excited, but I’m still a little anxious since it’s been a couple weeks since my last scan. Hoping the fact that my nausea is still kicking my butt means all is well.
On a funnier note, I was trying to keep the gender quiet just until my next appointment this week, but toddlers will be toddlers and completely unprovoked my kiddo announced to my parents “WHERE’S MY BABY BROTHER? WHERES BABY BROTHER??” So guess that’s one way to surprise everyone 😂

It's still hot here by me as well. There's no hiding anything in this weather unfortunately 😩
Congrats on baby boy! I'm glad your toddler seems excited already haha.

😂😂 see this is exactly why I’m afraid to tell my son until right before we tell our in laws! And we’re going to do a gender reveal cake for them to have together!

31 weeks and looking forward to the end! I know there's still some time left assuming all goes well, but we're really looking forward to meeting baby boy! And I'm also looking forward to sleeping on my stomach again!

You’re so close!! I’m already dreading the “sleeping on your back” phase as someone who routinely tosses and turns all night

I definitely have brought on some of my round ligament cramps simply by rolling over in bed lol 🥲

u/idontcareaboutaus 3d ago
😂 the worst! I had a c section with my first and I distinctly remember a few times rolling in my sleep after and being very strongly reminded of it

I have my first scan this afternoon at 7+6/8w. I’m so friggin’ nervous. This isn’t a PAL because I had a successful pregnancy (my LC) in between, but the fear/anxiety of loss never goes away. Feeling physically mostly okay/mild symptoms. What will be will be….but plz I really could use good news after a tough week
ETA: it didn’t go well. Fetus measured 6+2. It had a good FHR but being so far behind is not a good sign. I’m expecting a loss

So sorry to hear this update. I unfortunately just went through a very similar experience that ended in an MMC, but I genuinely hope you experience a better outcome 🫂

Good luck! I truly think the scanxiety never fades. It leaves a mark on your heart that will always be there but is hopefully overshadowed by all of the happy moments to come

Thanks for your kind words. I should’ve updated this yesterday but I just couldn’t. My scan didn’t go well.

I’m so sorry you’re in limbo right now. I’m hoping for the best possible outcome for you guys 🫂

For what it's worth, my dates never added up with my first baby, there was at least a week missing somewhere, I couldn't have ovulated/implanted later going from my positive tests, but everything was fine. Hope it's the same for you.

A very small part of me is trying to cling to hope that something like that could happen. I appreciate your comment

11 weeks today and found out yesterday we’re having a low risk boy🥹 im so excited to stay a boy mom. We’re so prepared for this and my son is going to be extra excited to have a little boy to show off to.
We’ve waited so long for this and it almost feels real now. Mentally it feels more real to think of a baby boy in the and not some alien blob😂
Just have to make it past my 12 week scan in a week before I can maybe breathe, relax, and dare I say enjoy things? We’ve kept this a secret from everyone and it will be so good to finally tell people!

Congratulations!! A long long time ago on one of the daily chats you replied to me about an age gap concern and I’ve been occasionally looking for your username since then. So glad to see you here ❤️

u/idontcareaboutaus 3d ago
Awe thank you❤️ I’ve been through many seasons in this forum and I’m always here to help. My son will be 6 when this baby (hopefully) arrives and the age gap doesn’t even bother me anymore. It feels like exactly how things were meant to be

Did you ever share in the BFP posts? I’d love to hear/read about your experience for conceiving this pregnancy! My son will be 6 in February & we started trying a little while after you did for #2 so kind of the same timelines!

u/idontcareaboutaus 3d ago
Yes I think I shared maybe 2 weeks ago. I also posted in March when I had my 1st pregnancy that was a loss. Ultimately iui worked both times for us and despite trying everything else nothing else worked. I’m not entirely sure why but when they place the sperm in my cervix it seems to take and when they don’t it doesnt? Thats literally the only thing we’ve done different on successful cycles. This current pregnancy we only did iui and no other sex so it was 100% it

u/Fun_Needleworker6697 27 | TTC#2 since 6/24 | 3 CPs + PCOS 3d ago
Thank you & congratulations again! I’ve done all the medicated stuff up until IUI which is our next step but worried since I’ve done everything else and we don’t have any MFI that our odds aren’t worth the expense of it 😞 definitely a lot to consider but your experience gives me hope!!

u/idontcareaboutaus 3d ago
I’m glad to give hope. My husband’s sperm analysis were always excellent so we also had no male factor. I’m not sure why iui worked for me but both times I was very pessimistic about it and thought “no way after everything this works”. I must be the ideal candidate or something. Part of me suspects I had hostile cm or some weird factor preventing the sperm from reaching the egg

This is exactly my thoughts, that something has to be hindering fertilization or implantation. Husband has amazing analysis results, I’ve been checked for a c section scar defect and ureaplasma and I’ve done an HSG but I still feel in my gut that something is stopping the process from happening. Thank you for sharing & I hope the rest of your pregnancy is peaceful and uneventful ❤️

u/idontcareaboutaus 2d ago
Thank you. I’ve felt the exact same way as you and it is maddening. They say unexplained but really I feel it falls down to undiagnosed and somethings they just don’t test as much or as easily as others. I was resistant to trying iui or any fertility approaches bc I just didn’t believe they’d work but in the end I’m glad i tried them. Hopefully your solution comes soon also!

Uhhh so I guess I’m sequestered to this “grad” chat for now 😞
I got my first ultrasound 2 days ago. I was 7+6, measuring at 7+2 and no heartbeat. That far along, with a very regular cycle and 100% accurate dates, no heartbeat is definitive.
I had an MMC before my daughter, then daughter, now another MMC. Of course my hospital clinic isn’t calling me back and Planned Parenthood doesn’t have anything available until a week from today, so unless my body gets with the fucking program (which I’m not expecting). I’m stuck with this dead embryo inside me for a week.
I feel so fucking grim. It took us quite a while to get my daughter, and we conceived on cycle #2 TTC this 2nd one so I held out hope that we finally wouldn’t have to struggle… like at least the TTC journey for one child wouldn’t be wrought with pain and waiting, and I was just dead fucking wrong wrong wrong.
I feel so… injusticed. Angry. Wronged. Fucked over.

I'm so sorry for your loss, and for the frustration you're facing trying to get it resolved. I know how long a week feels in these circumstances. 💜
I also wanted to let you know that you are welcome to post about a lost or non-viable pregnancy anywhere in this sub, even if you're still technically pregnant.

I am 11w6d today and somehow my nausea got worse in the past week?? Also, still no energy. I feel this pregnancy has been rougher than the last one but then again, I didn’t have a toddler then. I work a very intense work with long day and night shifts alternating. It has not been easy at all 😭
