CD3 and feeling super tired. I was feeling excited to start a new cycle but today I have been having a lot of negative thoughts. TTC is such an exhausting process.

Milestone achieved: I'm seeing the bottom of my prenatal bottle. It's actually a good thing because I accidentally got the kind where, despite being XXL, feel-in-your-esophagus-the-whole-way-down sized, I'm somehow supposed to be muscling down 3 of these per day. So next I'll switch to a 1-a-day.

CD 10. Cycle 13. Second cycle with Letrozole but this one was 5mg. Doing all my exercises, watermelon, fruit juices, and eating certain things to hopefully help. Well we have brought the cat home and it’s a lot smaller than expected-it’s a KITTEN! Roughly 10 weeks old. It’s got me in my feels because its not how I imagined adding a fifth family member. If I would’ve been pregnant by now it wouldn’t have happened. I would much rather be holding a baby than a kitten. It makes my heart ache. Please let this be my month.

Good luck! We also recently adopted a kitten (we have two older cats). We always said one cat per kid, but after 3 losses we decided to flip the script and tempt faith ;)
But he was sleeping on his back in my arms with his front paws crossed last night and it crossed my mind that this should have been our third had they been born last August as planned. Brought back a lot of grief.

Good luck! I’m also TTC #3, going to start letrozole hopefully in November. How are your follicles responding to letrozole?

She didn’t. She ran basic day 3 labs and all came back normal. AMH is 1.64. She just said to give it sometime but it should happen. I hope she’s right 🥴 Sorry to hear about your OB not being super helpful. Have you had day 3 labs done recently? Did it take awhile with your other pregnancies?

Ok my first progestogen test came back at 10.9. My doctor wasn't concerned and has basically told me there's nothing else I can do except move on to IUI (she doesn't think I need clomid or letrozole since I ovulate on my own). We just did another progestogen test just in case and it came back at 7.4 and she messaged saying to set up an appointment about it.
Would supplementing progesterone help or should I still ask about taking a round of fertility meds??

I would try both, progesterone can’t hurt but I think it’s annoying in that if you do get pregnant you have to take it all through the first trimester. But letrozole or clomid might “strengthen” your ovulation so your progesterone levels might go up on their own. You should advocate for yourself if you don’t want to jump into IUI. There’s a large study that found letrozole with timed intercourse was more successful than clomid with IUI: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30383939/. Maybe you can bring this study up with your doctor. To me it seems that if you rule out male factor, then IUI shouldn’t really be necessary.

I've heard of clomid/letrozole 'strengthening' your ovulation. My husband didn't have the greatest sperm ever but not bad enough to make me want to jump into IUI. I'm seeing a different doctor and maybe I can convince them to let me try clomid or letrozole 🤞

I’m getting all negatives and im supposed to get my period in 2 days. This will be my 8th month trying.
I am 39 with a lower AMH but everything else is normal. I just don’t know what else to do.
I feel so defeated

I’m almost 38 with a low AMH, on my 7th cycle. I was surprised that they found polyps in my hysteroscopy and I’m going to get that treated. What diagnostic tests have you and your husband had?

I’m also 39 and we are on our 7th cycle of trying. It’s so defeating but I just met with my OB and she was so reassuring. She said since I’ve had two healthy pregnancies at 35 and 37 that I should be able to get pregnant naturally again, it may just take time. Hoping for our BFPs soon! 💙🩷 Best of luck to you.

Thank you! I feel better that I’m not alone. Did your OB recommend anything? Mine has me taking a lower dose iron vitamin because I was slightly anemic. I have prior c sections so she’s a little apprehensive to help me so I feel kind of stuck

When do you start & how long do you take progesterone support for?
My doctor prescribed progesterone support (Duphaston) from CD14–23 (10 days) to support my short luteal phase.
However, I ovulated around CD15–16, so by the time I finish the medication, I'll only be around 7–8 DPO.
I'm worried whether it is enough to support implantation.
For those similar experiences,
- Did you also take progesterone for 10 days or longer?
Would love to hear your experiences! I'll check with my doctor before making any changes too! Thank you! ❤️
