BFP Thread TFA's Bi-Weekly BFP Thread - October 04, 2026

Did you get your BFP? Tell us about it! Additional details like what number child you were trying for and your cycle information (including cycle information for previous children) would be much appreciated but are not required.

Prior grads have started a gradsofTFA subreddit, and we run a biweekly grads thread. The gradsofTFA subreddit is private but you can send a modmail using desktop or you can directly message moderators DreamsofCheesecake or youcango-now to be added. Please keep us posted on your progress!

Congratulations!

I haven’t posted on this subreddit in over a year. We have unexplained secondary infertility and a while ago did 3 IUIs with no success. We’ve had 3 chemical pregnancies over the course of trying for #3 with the latest being in March of 2024. I have completely stopped tracking anything except for my period, no temps, no opks, nothing. We left for vacation Friday night, and I packed tampons expecting my period to start. My cycle has always been consistent, and I was beginning to have cramps. I had one instance of wiping with a smear of brown blood, but then nothing more came. I considered buying a test before we left but just knew my period would start, and it would be a waste. I rarely drink, but we’re at the beach, so I grabbed drinks for my husband and I both at the store. Our 9 year old got sick on the way down, so we went to the store our first morning to grab her cold meds where I decided I would grab a test, just to be safe though we had zero expectation of it being positive. We were shocked, completely thrilled but shocked!!! My husband cried multiple times 😭💙

I’m only 4 weeks, 3 days so still extremely early but also past the date when I started bleeding with any chemical pregnancy so hoping that’s a good sign 🙏🏻🥹

Nursing while TTC?: no, I had to wean both times to get pregnant :(

Health details on previous pregnancies/births (e.g. C-section vs. vaginal, birth/pregnancy complications): 5 hours of pushing led to my first c section, second was a scheduled c. If all goes well, I'll schedule a c section again.

Other health conditions/medical tests: Secondary infertility, thin uterine lining, short luteal phase, uterine polyps, not great egg retrievals results despite having living children.

Supplements and medications (yours and/or your partner’s): coq10, magnesium, prenatal, vitamin e

Birth control history (if relevant): stopped minipill on 2/1/26 while still nursing.

Tell us your story! What's different this time than last time? How'd you find out? How do you feel?: I've run the fertility gamut, with my first pregnancy being spontaneous, second a medicated IUI, and now my third required two rounds of IVF. We cancelled the transfer cycle last month due to my lining never thickening past 5.5 and the follicle stalling out. This cycle started with a huge cyst from last cycles failed ovulation. Letrozole just fed the cyst, which became a monster 32.5 mm follicle. We were prepared to cancel when the doctor brought me in 3 days in a row. Well that cyst started pumping crazy estrogen, over 1000, and leaking progesterone. Lining was 6.3 mm and trilaminar, when my successful IUI was 6.2 mm. Doctor had me start progesterone immediately while triggering, added PIO, and we transferred! Extreme whiplash from the disappointment of another failed cycle to a positive HPT. I am hoping beyond all hope that this IVF baby completes our family!
