TFA Long Haulers (TTC 12+ Months) Chat - September 29, 2026

A weekly dedicated space for members who have been trying for another for 12 or more months, experiencing infertility. Talk of treatment, testing/diagnosis, or tough feelings are welcome here. While this is a safe space to vent, please consider how other long haulers in different circumstances may feel about your words.

This thread is primarily for current long-haulers to connect with, vent to, and support each other. We ask that anyone else (including TFA grads and those whose current round of TTC has been less than 12 months) participate only to answer questions where your personal experience is relevant - for example, if someone asks about the side effects of a fertility treatment you have tried. For more general support, sympathy, and finger-crossing, in this thread, if you have not currently been trying for at least 12 months, please stick to a quiet upvote.

This thread is not meant to limit discussion only to this thread. Discussion of long haul issues is always welcome in the Daily Chat.

Kinda just feeling listless and blah lately.

My RE said I can skip doing a hysteroscopy and do a repeat endometrial biopsy instead, before transferring my last euploid.

If I do the hysteroscopy it's going to add like two+ months on to my waiting time and she said it's not likely to find much of anything. It's frustrating to not know what the right choice is, but I'm leaning towards just doing the endometrial biopsy instead so I can transfer my last embryo. See how that goes. Then maybe consider another egg retrieval.

I feel insane that I'm even considering another round of this when I always said I'd stop if my three embryos failed. Turns out it's hard to actually close the door on this journey. I don't know.

So sorry friend. I know how it feels to not be able to stop. I’m still not sure what my β€œstopping point” is.

Wrapping up one year of trying with another chemical - feels like a sick joke at this point.

I had a mmc last September and just rang in 1 year of trying with a chemical. It’s cruel.

Well today I’m having a pity party. I had my beta Friday and it was completely negative. It’s been hitting me a little harder than I thought it would. Now yesterday I got some sort of 24 hour stomach bug and I felt so guilty I couldn’t be a present mom or help my husband at all and I know it made for a tough day for him.

Just want to cry.

Shit. I am so sorry. I was surprised at how much it hit me too, I get it. I hope you can do something nice for yourself and that you feel better soon.
