CD20 and was expecting my peak already. We haven’t tried yet this fertile window because I haven’t been in the mood at all. After seeing the state of my uterus during my recent hysteroscopy, even if I got pregnant, the chances are so high that I would miscarry. My husband is taking me on a fancy weekend getaway for our anniversary, but I just got more triggering information. I feel so hopeless I don’t know how I’m going to get in the mood this weekend.

CD9 and impatiently waiting to ovulate 🫠. I usually don't ovulate until at least CD21, feels like forever away! I had EWCM yesterday but I think it was because of the Hycosy procedure

Back to clinic after letrozole. Lining is still very thin at 3.8 mm. Also now there's fluid in my uterus.

Last time at this point of letrozole, my lining was 6.2mm. I'm going back Monday, but I'm feeling forlorn that this FET cycle is heading towards cancellation.

I just want to get off the infertility ride. I'm feeling so so done.

6dpo. A few days before I can start panicking and spiraling. This is my first iui post loss that resulted from my only other iui. My expectations vary from low to high. From “it worked once!” To “yeah, and that was your only shot”

Yesterday I had a strong urge for skittles even though I’m on weight loss meds. I told myself it could be a sign bc both of my previous losses included random cravings before I tested positive. That said: I just wanted skittles 😂

Catch me in 2 days when I crash out

Also: really hating that the ONE cycle I had success I as so checked out and not believing that I didn’t track any symptoms.

CD22 and finally got my temp shift. I saw a hematologist yesterday who did a ton of bloodwork, so far everything is coming back normal minus low ferritin. I’m so conflicted on this cycle. It’s my first cycle since my MMC. I know realistically I likely won’t get pregnant straight away, but I actually had an easy time getting pregnant with my loss, so I have this hope that it’ll happen again. Trying to keep my head and my heart on the same page

My period started early on what should have been CD23 yesterday, so I just had to reschedule my 1 day diagnostic appointment with our fertility clinic. The wildly unpredictable cycles since starting to try for #2 are annoying, but I guess this is better than the 40+ day cycles I had right after my Mirena was removed. This is month 8 of TTC and I’ll presumably have to skip this month due to the scheduled hysteroscopy. This process is so slow and depressing, and with the way things are scheduled it’ll be at least 1-2 more months before we can even start an egg retrieval cycle if we decide to move forward with IVF. TTC since the start of the year has only gotten us 1 MMC due to aneuploidy so far, so I’m ready to do something.

Truly truly, how does everyone keep going? I just got my period and locked myself in the work toilets to cry, and have since been sitting in an abandoned meeting room and now the lights have gone off. It's been a year and I keep thinking about stopping and then I just think about how much I want to give my kid a sibling and also tbh, be pregnant again but at the moment I see no light at the end of the tunnel.

I am feeling so rushed for time. I should really take some time to just live instead of grieving every unsuccessful month. And yet, I am not sure how to get back in a mental state where I can accept and be grateful for whatever will unfold.

I have such irregular cycles that I tend to use OPK from the day my period ends so that I can track the LH trend the entire time. It also helps my ADHD brain that that is just what I do when I wake up - go pee in a tiny cup, do the test, move on with the day.

Once it start showing higher than baseline, I move to testing 2-3 times per day to ensure I catch the first positive test. After BBT starts rising, I stop testing OPK until the next cycle.

I usually start 3-4 days before expected ovulation (ie CD10 if you have 28 day cycles). I bought a Tempdrop due to irregular wake times - pricey but the only realistic way for me to monitor BBT.

u/crocadillo_ 36 | TTC#2 since Oct 25 Aug 13 '26

I ended up getting an oura ring in Feb for this exact reason! It's not true BBT but definitely reflects cycles and confirms ovu

I start on day 14 but I'm a late ovulator

Feeling so angry today starting yet ANOTHER month of trying. Like wtf is going on. I cried to my husband last night that maybe there really is something wrong (I have no reason to believe there is minus being older) …and he just says let’s keep trying. BRO ITS BEEN 10 FUCKING MONTHS. What is it with men not wanting to know if something is wrong?!

1

u/jellybean_pudding Aug 15 '26

This journey is so emotionally taxing at times and I just don’t think males will ever fully understand because they are not physically going through it the same way we are.

It’s been a year of trying for our third now and I never expected to be here.
With our first two they happened first cycle.
My husband doesn’t understand why I’m so upset about it. My age is one thing, the age gap between the kids is another.

I have been going to a gynaecologist due to a lot of spotting during the luteal phase and everything is within normal limits so she can’t help. She even suggested going on the pill for a few months! That’s the opposite of what I’m trying to achieve here.

It took my spouse a hot minute to accept that something was wrong because “it worked before”. Well, it’s not working this time, friend!

2

u/crocadillo_ 36 | TTC#2 since Oct 25 Aug 13 '26

Omg - we had 'why don't we just stop properly trying for a couple of months, take the pressure off' - um NO! Hasn't the last 12 months shown you getting pregnant is actually really f-ing hard

1

u/skilikeagirl4lyfe 35 | TTC#2 Nov. 2025 | 2023🩵 Aug 13 '26

Yeah I get the sentiment, like if we cared less it would happen faster, but the internal clock really gets to me.

However if we miraculously conceive this next cycle, they would be born possibly on my eldest’s birthday :( and the next month my husbands best friend (he’s best man) is getting married and I don’t want to be due around the wedding so I guess we might be forced into a break 🫠

2

u/crocadillo_ 36 | TTC#2 since Oct 25 Aug 13 '26

Yeah you can't just create a false non-chalant environment though. I hate to say it but they just don't get it!

Ah that's tough I'm so sorry, I thought I'd skip the month that would cause a double birthday but now that will naat be happening 🥲

If you feel you want to start investigations DO IT. In this situation I truly believe the partner should follow the birthers lead on everything!

CD1 today! I did OPKs but no BBT last cycle, so I’m not entirely sure when I ovulated but I think this means my LP was 11 days? Which is fine, kind of borderline… historically, my LP was always 12 days on the dot, but I think my hormones are still working on evening back out.

I’m going to monitor BBT this cycle even though we’re working with an irregular infant’s sleep schedule.

Oh and the next time I’m in my FW, MIL will be staying in our house with us 🙃🫠 so that should be fun 😵‍💫

CD 8 and I can finally say that my period is over!

Time for LH strips. I’m also hoping to track my bbt this cycle so that I can see the exact day I ovulate.

My family and I are going camping this weekend so I’m not sure if I’ll track BBT at this point just because we’re tenting and I feel like my temps will be all over the place. I’ll probably wait until we get back to do that.

Third medicated month in a row. First was an IUI, then a round of IVF (no usable eggs retrieved). Now taking a break from monitoring but taking letrozole on our own. Wish me luck!

Our work schedules finally lined up and we were able to hit day before and day of ovulation. I have high hopes - BUT I also expect failure lol.

I’m now 39.5, been trying on our own for a year before starting with the RE.

1

u/whipped_pumpkin410 Aug 14 '26

I hope it works out 🫂

Can i ask- how does it work when you take letrozole on your own? Do you for sure ovulate on it? I’ve only done it where they monitor the follicles and then have me do a trigger shot

2

u/pinksunglasses85 Aug 14 '26

Yes, I know that I ovulate regularly and since I’ve previously used letrozole for my IUI, I know I do respond to it. I use OPKs to find my peak. My OB prescribed it to me for my own use.

1

u/whipped_pumpkin410 Aug 14 '26

Do you find you ovulate later? I know i ovulate on my own too but they never let me use it without ultrasound but i would like to

2

u/pinksunglasses85 Aug 14 '26

Yes, I ovulated on day 17, and I normally ovulate on day 14. It had me going crazy for a bit!

1

u/whipped_pumpkin410 Aug 14 '26

Thanks for letting me pick your brain on this ! Best of luck 💗

Got the PGTA results back and all 3 of my embryos are euploid! I can’t believe it. Given the cumulative success for 3 transfers is 95% - I should finally be pregnant by Christmas… 🤞🤞

Hmm cycles are so confusing! CD10 today and based on previous cycles expecting to ovulate CD16/17 or even 18, but I’ve had some obvious EWCM this morning. Weird. Not sure how long you can get that before ovulating!

1

u/AnnAAnnon Aug 13 '26

Everyone is different! I typically get between 6-12 days of fertile cervical mucus. Assuming I ovulate a day after a positive opk (I don't temp), I usually have ewcm still on 2DPO. Maybe you'll have more days of ewcm this cycle or maybe you'll ovulate earlier. The body is a mystery. 😪

1

u/crocadillo_ 36 | TTC#2 since Oct 25 Aug 13 '26

I get it really early and it comes and goes -- it's super confusing and doesn't help me track really, annoyingly means I have to rely on OPKs

1

u/Many-Supermarket-511 33 | TTC #2 since July ‘26| 💙 Sept ‘24 Aug 13 '26

I usually get mine a day or two before ovulating; however, I remember reading a comment on here saying that they start getting EWCM four days before they ovulate.
