When I say this, I mean it as the highest praise I can possibly give. I would put a bright ass light bulb underneath this sitting on top of my desk and zone out staring at the pretty lights coming through it while absolutely zooted and tooted out of my mind.
I am gobsmacked at how absolutely stunning this is. Well fucking done!

This is a bot, right? 4 months old and all posts are to r/buysomething with very low coments or votes, and there's no bio or link to artists page or anything like that. Im hella sus.

I’ve been unable to find this exact item for sale online (similar style of ceramics yes, but not this exact cup), so unless OP posts a link to sell it, I don’t have a reason to take the post down.

I thought that too at first. But jugding by the newest comments, it is somebody from eastern asia, who was trying to start a business with that name. They changed it now, after they got similiar suspicion on the pottery sub. They also have other pictures of pottery before and after firing

Yeah I saw this over there and was like... Why is this being reposted? Oooh it's in tea now. That's not weird or anything.
Low key promotion is obnoxious. Being in the pottery subreddit, I see repeat posts going into places like this and mug life, where it's so obvious they're trying to subtly promote their business.

What is this style called??? It’s gorgeous!

u/artblock Dec 17 '25
It’s a chinese style of pottery called 万花 (ten thousand flowers). I don’t think this user actually made this cup though.

are you okay? is everything filled one by one, i’m assuming this is rice grain ceramic?
on a serious note, that’s such a beautiful product. it must’ve taken you quite some time to make it

im afraid this account might steal images of pottery to promote some kinda scam or dropshipping site in the future
all their work posted has a different making style it seems and in r/pottery they did a little digging and found a lemon8 account with same style pottery + completely different factory-made looking ones posted
https://www.reddit.com/r/Pottery/comments/1pokmt7/comment/nuh95ch/?context=3
the cup looks handmade(has the pencil markings and all) and is stunning. man i wish it was real

I don't think I'd have the guts to use this, it's so beautiful. Might stay in those cabinets for fancy ass dinnerware

Everyone asking if you're selling but no one will want to pay the hundreds of dollars it would cost, I think people don't realize how much effort goes into that. Great job!

This is a true work of art. This is hands down the most beautiful cup I have ever seen. BRB while I go dream about all the different teas I would drink out of this.

Made it yourself?! So beautiful. This is very much my style, so I’m a tad jealous of your skill and execution!

Self-promotion is strictly limited (this includes businesses and other social media platforms). Be sure to comply with reddit's guidelines on self-promotion and spam. Vendors are held to a higher standard and may not use r/tea to market or sell their products. This includes recommending your own goods when not specifically asked, posting products you have for sale, or making posts purely to generate customer engagement.

This is beautiful. The way it glows with the light reminds me of Bernardaud votive candle holders with French scenes on them.

That is absolutely stunning. Im just slightly disappointed you made it yourself - and that is only because I can't buy one.
Excellent work. You are very talented.

Hello, /u/ContestDull8651! This is a friendly reminder that most photo posts should include text with some additional information. For example: Consider writing a mini review of the tea you're drinking or giving some background details about your teaware. If you're posting your tea order that just arrived or your tea stash, be sure to list the teas, why you chose them, etc. Posts that lack a comment or body text for context/discussion after a reasonable time may be removed. You may also consider posting to /r/TeaPictures.
