These are my classroom snails! I have one who recently looks like they are developing a lip? Would this indicate that it is mature? Total of 3 little duderettes from my garden in southern CA.

I know they can’t hear and can’t really see beyond differentiating dark and light color, but as for that spark of life, is a snail having a true sense of subjective experience (qualia) even though it wouldn’t be as complex as a vertebrate.

MR. KUROBUTA, MY WRISTS CAN’T KEEP UP WITH YOUR CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT 😭🫴🏽🗣️

Portland Oregon on a short 30 minute hike. What a beautiful shell!

so my snails keep getting fruit flies somehow
i always clean the tank, the holes for breathing have a little mesh like thing so flies can’t get in. i always wash their produce so the fly eggs don’t get in
and i still get the flies
i completely cleaned the tank today (and also gave my snails a little bath so any dirt on them that might have eggs will wash of)
hope i won’t get any more but i’m very worried for my babies

Found this shy lil dude today sleeping stuck between a block of cement and a wall with this crazy shell. Never seen something like this before

Is it caused by a severe trauma he healed from or is it something more serious that could be life threatening?

I have him set up in quarantine away from my pet snails in a makeshift ' hospital ' enclosure where he hopefully can't get hurt and provided him some lettuce and calcium

I previously posted about my reentry to snailcare with my one eyed Herbie, and found this guy dried up on an apartment last night so I decided to make him my son.

Meet Qbie!🧡

Turns out after hydrating him that he also has a wonky eye! My chances of finding special babies are either higher or, its rougher out there than I thought. I also noticed he has less of a feeler on the right than the left?? So crazy.

Anywhosers, I am a happy Pa once again and our funky autistic family continues to grow🥲

I've had him for a while now, and his shell has fully closed up, aside from the mantle, so when do I know to release him, and how should I do it?

Found in Central Florida

Hey guys! So I posted here last week that Jerry had been hiding for about 2 months and was worried. Luckily he came out on his own today but had these white marks in its shell. Im new with snails so dont know much yet about shell issues. Could it be an acid substrate or lack of calcium during these months? He has a cuttlebone available but ofc he didnt eat it while he was hibernating. The substrate is just coconut fiber.

Any idea on what to do? Appreciate it 🫶🏼

As the title says.

A friend of mine found this guy on Sljeme (a mountain), near Zagreb (capital of Croatia) last month.

I'm unsure which species it is so pls help 🙏

hi I fucked up while making this cup in a pottery class (it cant stand up on its own + colors were off) so i put it outside and its been indoctrinated into snail society. Snailciety. Srry for the mass amounts of snail shit 😭

Beautiful slurg

These mites look pretty much exactly like soil mites, but they're brownish and jump. They all cluster beneath my GALS foot and food bowl. Google is saying springtails but I really don't see it and I never added this species

Edit: I checked to see if they actually jumped or if I was breathing too hard around them. After poking them a few times, they didn't jump but they ran quickly

I’m hoping to house them together but also don’t want to deal with snabies.

I feel like their teeth look slightly different but can’t tell if I’m just tripping. Does it look different to you? Last photo is from a journal article where they compare shells of different species of triodopsis.

Hello! I recently picked up a couple empty snail shells from outside for an art project. A majority have visible dirt in them and im unsure if some of them still have organs in them. (There's no bad smell, if that means anything.) I'm wondering on what the best/quickest way to fully clean them out is.

Cammino lentamente e c'è una lumaca che striscia più veloce di me e ed cosi carina ✨️🐌
