Rehoming Thinking of rehoming my dog.
Last November I got a 2nd dog. He's a full breed Yorkie and he is very sweet and gets along with my other 8 year old dog. The issue is he is very reactive and it's causing problems between me and my neighbors. Every time I take him out potty, he barks bloody murder. Every time. God forbid another dog is walking by all hell breaks loose, which is often where we live. I've tried treats, exposure therapy, etc. and nothing works. I walk him everyday. My brother wouldn't forgive me or let me live it down if I gave him up. Not to mention how much I would miss him and how awful I'd feel. But when I think about having just one dog again it's like a weight lifted off my shoulders. I don't know what to do.

You gave 2 examples of what you've tried, that being 'treats and exposure therapy', and then said nothing works.
It sounds more like you don't want to put the time and effort into seeing if you can stop your dogs reactivity, and if that's the case then you don't need validation from anyone here. Just rehome the dog so it can go to owners who are willing to put the time in.

I was actually looking for advice from ppl who've been in this situation. But I guess whatever ill-intended comment gets you upvotes
