No, that's actually legitimately not true. IQ scores and literacy were on a positive slope relative to their generation, until Gen z.

This is true, but wildly misleading. Yes, GenZ have poorer literacy than Millennials, but Gen Z still have better literacy than Gen X and boomers

I’ll take that bet! I may be 52 years old, but I’ll guarantee you that I’m more capable of putting a proper sentence together than the vast majority of the Gen Z crowd.

Well, considering that Gen Z is currently aged 14-29, I would hope that your literary skills are at least a good match for high schoolers at 52. You still have a little while before you enter the real cognitive decline.
