Performative doesn't mean it's not used, it just means they want you to see it and draw conclusions about the kind of person they are for having it. If they didn't want you to see it they'd have taken it off and stashed it behind the seat when they parked the trailer.
You seriously think people don't go through the trouble of removing their trailer hitch and reinstalling it because they want you to think they are a person that uses a trailer hitch????
Maybe it's because it's a pain in the ass to remove, store and reinstall, lol, and they don't give a fuck about your opinion of whether they use their trailer hitch.
I mean personally, I think it's weird that their car is blocking the sidewalk. If you can't park your vehicle legally you shouldn't be driving it. Seems they need to be in a sedan because they lack the spacial awareness for driving a truck.
It's not a pain in the ass. It's just pulling a pin. Leaving it on means you're constantly having to make sure you're not accidentally backing into shit because you've got a foot long stinger. It's earlier if you take it off.
It's a pain in the ass. I've got a million things to do in a day and that one is not getting done, and my not doing it isn't performative, it's just not necessary.
No. But imagining only your specific scenario to defend being inconsiderate of strollers, people walking side by side, wheelchairs or any other legitimate use of of a sidewalk absolutely is. You're weird.
Agreed. No way any of them need to hitch a trailer at o'dark thirty to do the work of moving the shit that the people of reddit rely on being moved everyday.
Then there's trans people who own trucks. I mean, you guys really love to swing us around like we're some kind of sword in your internet flap fights but, in reality, we're just as much the people you hate as anyone else.
I love that you've created a whole idea of me in your head and then invented a way to criticize that person that doesn't exist, because you're unhappy that I made fun of some people for being inconsiderate and lazy about their gender performance
Whatever bro. If they parked with the hitches in line with the curb, y’all would just take a picture of the front saying that stick out too far.
People use trucks. Just because you don’t doesn’t make them bad.
The grass that is almost completely level and flat. Yeah you’ll be fine.
Also love how it’s always the extreme case being jumped to like everyone is in a wheelchair.
Maybe of these truck drivers just put them in and forgot their wallets and had to run inside quickly.
If you actually tow that frequently, and you have a 40 lb hitch which seems to be the heaviest one possible, then maybe. Is that the situation with every truck in this photo, probably not.
I've heard this a million times from people whining about trucks. Never actually seen someone using a truck to compensate for anything, other than not having the muscles to pull 13,000 lbs.
the amount of pristine pavement princess toddler kller trucks i've seen in my city is too high i can't even count. hardly seen a truck that looks it went thought the ringer but ok
Those people like their trucks then. I drive a sports car that's never taken to a track and beaten up like it "should be," I just like driving it, so what?
“People should be allowed to do what they want with their lives without judgment. Unless it’s anything that I don’t agree with, in that case I hope they burn in hell”
Some do, but most tend to be educated people who work with their minds instead of their backs doing simple manual labor and hauling big objects around.
At least taxpayers aren’t paying for his stupid hitch. I don’t care what people do to their own bodies but my tax money shouldn’t be going toward an elective surgery respectfully.
Classic non response follow up, all insults no logic or reasoning behind why taxpayers should fund trans gender affirming care when it’s not life threatening and an elective service. Please instead of using performative words, explain why American taxpayers should foot the bill for transitioning surgeries. Try doing better to respond to the issue rather than doing your best Trump impersonation by slinging out insults.

Performative trailer hitches on performative pickups performatively parked.
And they complain about trans people needing their gender affirmed.
