My darling allow me to explain how some of us think.
Why would I stuff something that I use every day into a cupboard? This adds extra hassle to my day to day, I need to open the cupboard and close it again. Much more efficient to just place it on a shelf!
I understand it's the visual clutter that bothers you, and I feel for you. This is where talking to your partner is key. Could you meet in the middle? Maybe a basket on top of the cupboards, so it's organised chaos? Basket inside the cupboard, so the chaos is easy to take out and put back?
This is the answer. OP employed a solution that doesn’t account for actual habits. We used to have the laundry basket in our bedroom because we liked having it away, out of sight. ….thjng is, we get changed in the bathroom for a shower. So there was just a pile of clothes in the bathroom all the time.
Design your systems around how you ACTUALLY live, not how you ideally live.
The new drawers and cabinets don’t seem like the best option for beauty products either. They tip over when you open and close the drawer and the hair tools look like they would barely fit in that other cabinet.
